Tennessee, U.S., Delayed Birth Records, 1869-1909
Alton Eugene Wilburn, 73, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday (Nov. 16, 2011) at his residence. Mr. Wilburn was a native of Madison County, Ala., the son of Lola Quick Wilburn and the late Arthur Eugene Wilburn. He was a certified welder who worked at the Marshall Space Flight Center, a baptized and professing member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church and a member of Rising Sun Lodge #13 of the Free & Accepted Masons, Kansas City, Mo. Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tamara Wilburn Brown Cheatham; granddaughter, Karson Lee Brown; and sister, Betty Thornton. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Campbell Wilburn of Fayetteville; daughter, Cassandra (Michael) Ray of Fayetteville; mother, Lola Quick Wilburn of Huntsville, Ala.; grandchildren, Gregory Alan Brown, II, Lauren Ray; great-grandson, Gregory Alan Brown, III; sisters, Nell Thompson of Oklahoma, Sarah Hambrick of Henegar, Ala., Sue Mitchell of Huntsville, Ala.; brothers, Aaron Wilburn of Nashville and Jackie Wilburn of Huntsville, Ala. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Coldwater United Methodist Church with The Rev. G. Alan Brown, II, O.S.L., O.E. officiating. Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Edward (Ed) Biggers Young, III, a native of Lincoln County, died Thursday (Nov. 17, 2011) at Donalson Care Center. He was the son of the late James Beverly Young, Sr., and Sarah Buchanan Young. He was an active member of the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. Mr. Young attended Vanderbilt University, where he pledged Sigma Nu fraternity, and graduated from Martin College. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. Mr. Young started his business life as manager of the Mutual Funds Department of the State Street Bank and Trust in Boston, Mass. He held various positions in several cities and took pleasure and pride in being Purchasing Director of Nashville Plastics Products prior to his move to the Atlanta office of MIS Associates in Atlanta. He was in Customer Relations with Publix Supermarkets and was currently an insurance advisor with Cornerstone Senior Company. Survivors include one sister, Catherine (Kate) White Young of Fayetteville; two older brothers, James Beverly Young, Jr., and wife, Helen Jackson Young of Carlisle, Mass., and Robert Buchanan Young and wife, Mary Florence Young, of Nashville; two nieces, Juliet Latigne Young of Nairobi, Kenya, and Sarah Buchanan Young of Warwick, R.I.; one nephew, Mark Buchanan Young of Nashville, one great-niece, Kathryn Young; and two great-nephews, Zachery Buchanan Young and Caleb Young, all of Nashville. Memorial services were held Sunday afternoon at the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tommy Ward officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. The family requests that contributions be made to the Fayetteville First United Methodist Church Building fund. Higgins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Linda Tittsworth, Gray
Linda Tittsworth, 68, of Gray, died at her home on Dec. 7, 2008. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at East Lawn Funeral Home Funeral Home. Funeral services beginning at 8 p.m. Graveside services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. where family and friends will assemble at the funeral home by 10:30.

Hugh M Anderson, Church Hill
Hugh M. Anderson, 76, died on Sunday at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home with a masonic memorial service conducted by Clay Lodge #386 following the visitation. Services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Lewis Lane Central Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Church Hill Memory Gardens.

Marty Beaty, Rogersville
Marty Beaty, 53, of Rogersville, died Sunday at his residence. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville.

Lloyd A. Conners, Kingsport
Lloyd A. Conners, 77, of Kingsport, died on Friday at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Carter Trent Funeral Home, 520 Watauga St., Kingsport.
Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. on Thursday. Entombment will follow in the Oak Hill Mausoleum.

Frank Edwin Dunn, Kingsport
Frank Edwin Dunn, 75, of Kingsport, died on Saturday.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Graveside services will follow in the Garden of the Last Supper at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Garfield Gardner, Kingsport
Garfield Gardner, 86, died on Dec. 6, 2008. The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon until 2 p.m. at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. in the funerla home chapel. Military graveside rites will follow at Oak Hill cemetery.

JONESBOROUGH — Mrs. Ruth Whaley Hays, 85, Jonesborough, passed away Monday (Dec. 8, 2008) at the Four Oaks Health Care Center.

KINGSPORT — Graveside services for Marie Hall Lane, 74, of Kingsport, who died Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 3, 2008), will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Laney cemetery in Ft. Blackmore, Va. Those attending should meet at the cemetery. Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport, is in charge of arrangements.

Raymond Allen Parvin, Rogersville
Raymond Allen Parvin, 73, of Rogersville, died Sunday at Wellmont Hawkins County Hospital. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Colboch-Price Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Following the funeral service, Hawkins County Color Guard and Tennessee Army National Guard will conduct military graveside honors at McKinney cemetery.

Retha Poore, Kingsport
