Donald Eugene Brown, Kingsport
Donald Eugene "Don" Brown, 73, Kingsport, died Saturday. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.

Leonard Maddux, Kingsport
Robert Leonard Maddux, 94, of 1216 Konnarock Rd., went home to be with his Savior on April 26, 2009. Calling hours are from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holston View cemetery in Weber City, Va.

Lola Grace Davis Pitt, 79, of Chuckey, died peacefully Sunday at home. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Fall Branch. Services will be at 8 p.m. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lovelace Baptist Church cemetery.

Samuel "Sam" Slusher, Kingsport
Samuel Lee "Sam" Slusher, 65, of Kingsport, passed away Sunday at Brookhaven Manor. The family will receive friends Thursday and Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the residence of his sister at 804 Mimosa Drive, Kingsport. Carter Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport is in charge.

Chasity L. Lange, Blountville
Chasity L. Lange, 30, died at 8:15 a.m. Sunday morning. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Shekinah Church, 394 Glory Road in Blountville with funeral services being conducted at 8 p.m. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. Tri-Cities Funeral Home is in charge.

Michael W. Smallwood, 52, of Johnson City, passed away on Sunday at Johnson City Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Carter Trent Funeral Home, downtown Kingsport.

Services will be conducted following visitation at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Oak Glen cemetery, Fall Branch.

Mr. Lonnie Keith Dishner, 38, Limestone, died Sunday at his residence. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home and Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the home of Penny White, 124 Glaze Road Telford. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Fairview cemetery.

Dottie Mae Gilreath, 67, of Surgoinsville, died Saturday. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Johnson Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Monday at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Oak Dale cemetery.

Dewey Charles Gatewood, 76, of Surgoinsville, who was a beloved husband and father, died early Sunday at his residence. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Carter Trent Funeral Home of Church Hill. Funeral services will be held in the chapel Tuesday at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Surgoinsville First United Methodist Church cemetery, Surgoinsville.

Rosa Vannoy, 93, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday at Brookhaven Manor. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the J. Wayne Hamilton Memorial Chapel of Oak Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow. Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. in Oak Hill Memorial Park, Garden of the Last Supper.

Earl Clarence Goad, age 88, formerly of Blountville died Sunday (April 26, 2009) in Greenville, S.C. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Gunnings cemetery in Blountville. The Mackey Mortuary, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, S.C.

Virginia Akers "Ginny" Carrier, 76, of Johnson City, formerly of Bristol, Va., on Sunday at Johnson City Medical Center. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Susong cemetery. There will be no formal visitation. Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home.

David James Weese, Kingsport
David James Weese, 35, died Sunday. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Colonial Funeral Home in Weber City, Va. He will be taken to J.T. Morriss Funeral Home in Petersburg, Va. where the calling hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Graveside services will be on Monday May 4th at Southlawn cemetery in Petersburg, Va. at 10 a.m.

Mrs. Pauline Lewis Riddle, 89, of Colonial Heights departed this life Tuesday (April 28, 2009) at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a period of declining health. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:30 p.m. with her nephew, Rev. John Edwards, officiating.

The family will receive friends anytime at the residence of her son, Fred Henard, and from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Colboch-Price Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rip Noble officiating. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Miller cemetery.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Johnny Kiser officiating. Burial will follow at Holston View cemetery.
