HAZEL PAULINE CRADIC
Surgoinsville- Hazel Pauline Cradic, of Surgoinsville went to be with the Lord early Wednesday (March 14, 2007) at her home. She was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. Mrs. Cradic was a faithful member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Surgoinsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cora & Delbert Marcum.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Wandell Cradic; her daughter, Karen Renee & husband, Philip Nowell (Surgoinsville); grandsons, Matthew G. Trent (Atlanta, GA), Ben P. Trent (Kingsport); a brother, James W. Marcum; sisters, Mildred Harrell, Mrs. Arthur (Oma) Johnson (all of Surgoinsville), constant Best Friend & sister, Mrs. Bobbie (Geneva) Webster (Mooresburg, TN) along with several nieces and nephews. A special thank-you goes out to Don, Kathy & Eric.
The family will receive friends on Thursday (March 15, 2007) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home of Church Hill.
A funeral service will follow the visitation on Thursday (March 15, 2007) at 7 p.m. with Pastor Jesse Hartgrove officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted on Friday (March 16, 2007) at 11 a.m. at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens with Philip Nowell, Bobbie Webster, Eric Webster, Matthew Trent, Don Coleman, Ben Trent & Kay Lee Cradic serving as pallbearers. Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10 a.m. to go in procession.
A heart-felt thank-you goes to the entire staff of Wellmont Hospice.

Dortha Bradley
Dortha (Robbins) Bradley, 93, Church Hill, Tenn., went to be with the Lord Saturday (March 17, 2007) at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn. following a brief illness.
She was born in Morgan County, Tenn., a daughter of the late Mack H. Robbins and Martha (Knowles) Robbins, and moved to this area at a young age. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, loved by her family and friends. She loved gardening, flowers, singing gospel songs and loved music.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. Bradley; three infant children; two grandchildren, Janice Bernard and Johnny Bradley; two sisters, Mary A. Malone, Willie Mae Morrison; and two brothers, Samuel P. Robbins and Ray Robbins.
She is survived by her daughters, Phoebe Lawson Stidham and husband Richard, Blountville; Odell Anderson and husband Lawrence, Statesville, N.C., Mary C. Bernard, Rockford, Ill.; sons, Russell Bradley and wife Brenda, Rockford, Ill., R.O. Bradley, Rockford, Ill.; 15 grandchildren, Cheri M. Lawson, Larry L. Lawson, Terry Bradley, Angie Goodson, Dawn Beltram, Doug Bradley, Pam Hoke, Kim Feltham, Chris Stills, Joyce Hammond, Darryl Bernard, Becky Frizzell, Robby Bradley, Crissy Palmer, Elvis Bradley; 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Morrison, Rockford, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday (March 20, 2007) at Carter-Trent Funeral Home of Church Hill.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Garry Eads officiating.
Music will be provided by the Rock Heritage Singers.
Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (March 21, 2007) at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens in Blountville, Tenn. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Wednesday.

Connie Fields
Kingsport - Connie Louise (Shipley) Fields, 60, Kingsport, left this world to be with the Lord at 11:24 p.m. on Monday (March 12, 2007) at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn. following an eight year battle with breast cancer.
She was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church and a retired employee of Tennessee Eastman after 34 years of service as a customer service representative. She was the daughter of the late Paul Shipley and Eva (Jones) Shipley.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Mark Mynhier.
She is survived by her husband Gaines (Buddy) C. Fields, Kingsport; daughter, Jessica Mynhier, Kingsport; grandson, Christopher Mynhier, Kingsport, mother, Eva Glynn Shipley, Kingsport; special aunt, Marion Byrd, Kingsport; lifetime best friend, Terry Johnson, Kingsport; and a host of friends and other relatives.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday (March 14, 2007) AT Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel, with Dr. Greg Burton officiating.
Music will be provided by Doug Blair.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday (March 15, 2007) at East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends and family are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. to go in procession to the cemetery.

Della Horton Good
KINGSPORT - Della Horton (Bloomer) Good, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 2, 2006 at Brookhaven Manor.
Born in Scott County, VA (Clinchport) Mrs. Good moved to Kingsport at an early age. She retired from Freel's Drugstore where she had worked for many years and was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harlan Karl Horton, her second husband, James Good, a daughter, Linda Simpson, and several sisters and brothers.
She is survived by her daughter, Pauline Hall of Kingsport, grandchildren, Rhonda Carpenter, Theresa Hall, Karl Hall, Tammy Williams, Tracy Deal, Mark Simpson and Ken Simpson, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 9:30 AM Thursday at Bloomer Family cemetery (Fairview Community) Clinchport, VA, with Rev. Mitchell Whisnant officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home at 8:30 AM Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice or your local church.

William Willis Taylor
KINGSPORT - William Willis "Gus" Taylor, 75 of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 2, 2006 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Calloway, Kentucky, Mr. Taylor had lived in Kingsport since 1967. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict and was employed at Indian Path Medical Center, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, D. F. and Nora Gregory Taylor and a brother, Harold Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Martin Taylor of the home, a daughter, Sherri Thieme and husband Paul of Warren, MI, son, Ron W. Taylor and wife Deborah of North Little Rock, AK, grandchildren, Wayne Taylor, Chris Taylor and Alex Thieme
Calling hours will be from 4-7 PM on Wednesday July 5, 2006 at Temple Baptist Church, 220 Memorial Ct, Kingsport, TN.
Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM at the church with Pastor Brian Schuler officiating. Music will be provided by Chris Taylor and the church choir.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday at East Lawn Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:55 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Temple Baptist Church (Building Fund), P.O. Box 3100 Kingsport, TN 37664.

Carol June Gillenwater
MT. CARMEL - Carol June (Eller) Gillenwater, 59 of Mount Carmel, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 2, 2006 , at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Born in Bristol, TN she moved to Hawkins County when she was fifteen years old. Mrs. Gillenwater was a member of Manville Holiness Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents,Jonah and Laura Sells Eller, sister, Louise Hale and brother-in-law, Dean Simpson.
She is survived by her husband, J. C. Gillenwater of the home; a daughter, Rebecca Harer and husband Dennis of Kingsport; sons, Kenneth "Tommy" Gillenwater and wife Gina of Mt. Carmel and Bobby Gillenwater and wife Kristie of Kingsport; grandchildren, Brandon Harer, Katharine Harer, Michael Harer, Jordan Gillenwater and Madison Gillenwater; sisters, Elizabeth Dishner and husband William of Mt. Carmel, Sue Johnson of Baltimore, MD and Janice Simpson of Nashville; brother-in-law, Roy Hale of Mt. Carmel and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 5-7 PM on Monday July 3, 2006 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 7:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Joel Waldron and Bishop Hagan Webb officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Wednesday July 5, 2006 at Oak Hill cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:55 PM.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Knoxville TN Office, 900 E. Hill Ave Suite 240, Knoxville, TN 37915.

Joyce Morelock Rector
Kingsport - Joyce Morelock Rector, 56, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 24, 2006, at Church Hill Health Care & Rehab. Center.
She was a lifelong resident of Sullivan Co., (Kingsport) TN. She was a graduate of Sullivan West High School in 1968 and was a member of Sullivan Baptist Church.
Joyce was preceded in death by her father, C.J. Morelock.
Surviving are her two daughters and son-in-law, Mrs. Tommy (Monica) Hurd and Kendra Lawson all of Kingsport; her mother, Joan Birdwell Morelock; two sisters, Brenda Adams of Kingsport and Debbie Davidson of Rogersville; two brothers, Clay Morelock and Wesley Morelock both of Kingsport, three granddaughters, Maranda Lawson, Parker Jo Hurd, and Sydney Hurd; a grandson, Zackery Lawson; and several nieces and nephews.
Joyce was diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia at a young age. She chose to donate her body to aid in the research for this disease. Anyone wishing to make a contribution to further the study of this disease should forward donations to: The National Ataxia Foundation, 2600 Fernbrook Lane No., Suite 119, Minneapolis, MN 55447.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm on Saturday, July 1, 2006 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport. A service will be conducted at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gary Gerhardt, officiating.
