Died: Saturday, October 4, 2008
WILSON COUNTY - ORCHANIAN, Jerry A., age 61 of Mt. Juliet, passed away October 4, 2008. Mr. Orchanian was the Warning Coordination Meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Middle Tennessee. He has worked in the Nashville area for about 14 years training storm spotters across Middle Tennessee and making weather safety presentations to prepare citizens and local officials for severe weather. Mr. Orchanian was preceded in death by parents, Manase and Rose Orchanian. He is survived by wife of 26 years, Patricia Orchanian; brothers, John (June) Orchanian and Leroy (Gina) Orchanian; and sister, Grace (Jack) Karian. Funeral services for Mr. Orchanian will be held Wednesday, October 8th at 11am at Victory Baptist Church, Mt. Juliet, TN with Bro. Chuck Groover officiating. Interment icon will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Died: Tuesday, August 26, 2008
Thomas Eugene Rittenberry passed away on August 26, 2008 at age 72. The family will be accepting friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon on Wednesday, August 27th from 3-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service. Lori Ann Baize
Born: Saturday, November 4, 1978 - Died: Thursday, April 17, 2008
Lori Baize passed away on April 17, 2008 at age 29. The family will be accepting friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon on Saturday, April 19, 2008 from 2-8 p.m. and on Sunday from 1 p.m. until service. Died: Saturday, November 29, 2008
WILSON COUNTY - CLIFTON, Jerry Dee, age 46 of Mt. Juliet passed away November 29, 2008. After a long battle with Leukemia, the Lord Jesus took him into His arms and carried him home. He was a loving husband and best friend to his wife, Teresa. Jerry loved his children Nicholas, age 18, Gabrielle, age 10, and Hannah, age 7. He was preceded in death by his younger brother, Joseph and his father, Jack. He is survived by his mother, Shirley Clifton, and brothers, Jeff, Jim and John. Burch, Billy Pendley
Born: Saturday, January 12, 1918 - Died: Sunday, December 7, 2008
Billy Pendley Burch was born on Jan 12, 1918 in East St Louis, Ill and died on Dec 7, 2008 at home with family in Lebanon, Tn. He was preceded in death by his parents William Johnson Burch and Edna Pendley Burch; he is survived by his wife of 66 years Helen Boyd Burch of Lebanon; three sons Richard L Burch of Hendersonville, Tn, William F. Burch (Jerry) of Birmingham, Al and James B Burch (Therese) of Leesburg, Virginia; five grandchildren Charles L Burch(Jennifer) of Atlanta, Ga, William B Burch (Jody) of Richmond, Va, Ryan Burch of Birmingham, Al, Jessica Burch of Leesburg, Virginia and Leigh Burch of Purceville, Virginia; and 7 great grandchildren.
Mr Burch was raised in Bruceton, Tn and attended Castle Heights Military Academy in Lebanon, Tn ; he later attended Middle Tenn State University where he was two sport letterman in football and basketball.
Mr Burch joined the Navy at the start of World War II and became a Navy fighter pilot, being deployed to the Pacific theatre; he was a decorated pilot for his combat missions, including being awarded the Navy’s Distinguished Flying Cross; Mr. Burch stayed in Navy reserve after the war and retired as Commander following 30 years of service, where he commanded a flight squadron out of Birmingham.
Mr Burch received his Masters Degree from George Peabody College in Nashville and did extensive work on his PHD at Indiana University.
Mr. Burch was hired as basketball, tennis, golf and baseball coach at Birmingham Southern College in Birmingham, Al in 1947 and stayed there until 1973; he served in several capacities at BSC including Athletics Director, Dean of Men and Director of Development. Mr Burch was inducted into the BSC Sports Hall of Fame and later had the Old Gym named after him.
Mr Burch, while in Birmingham was President of the Birmingham Park and Recreation Board, member of Chamber of Commerce Athletic Affairs Committee and a senior member of the Alabama State High School Football Officials Association.
Mr. Burch moved back to Lebanon, the city where he attended prep school and was Director of Development at Cumberland University before he began work for Cracker Barrel Restaurant Corp and worked there until he retired in 1996.
Mr Burch was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lebanon, Tn and was a volunteer and usher at the church.
The family wishes to acknowledge the loving care given to him by his caregivers while he was home; Melony Cason, Edna Crawford, Jimmy Sue Johnson, Dawn Jordan, Mary Denson, and Julianna Reedy.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church in Lebanon.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at the Sellers Funeral home in Lebanon, Tn from 10am to 11am on Wednesday 12/10/08 with private graveside service at Maplewood cemetery in Tullahoma, Tn.

Kathleen Doris Campbell
Died: Saturday, January 10, 2009
WILSON COUNTY - CAMPBELL, Kathleen Doris, age 88 of Mt. Juliet passed away January 10, 2009. Kathleen, above all, loved God and lived her faith. She grew up during the Depression and suffered many losses, including her baby brother, Georgie, and her father to TB when she was only 4 years old. She was a hard-working farmer’s wife, a wonderful loving mother and much loved grandmother and aunt. She was a Fuller Brush lady for many years. Though she took no lessons, she learned to “play by ear” as she put it, taught herself how to play piano. For more than 35 years she was the church pianist and then, organist for Full Gospel Assembly in Presque Isle, ME. She taught Sunday School. Well into her 80’s, she was able to live on her own, and was the church organist for Rev. John Palmer’s church in Carson, ME. She was well-loved and cared for by her niece, Faith Corey Cochran, for many years while living at McCully Commons in Presque Isle, ME. Truly heaven is a grander place for her presence there! Now she has put out her hand and touched the face of her God! Can the end of one’s life be more awesome than that?! Preceded by husband of 50 years, Bernard Vance Campbell; parents, John and Aleva Pettengill; son, Garry Dale Campbell; brother, George “Georgie” Pettengill; sisters, Winnifred “Winnie” Pettengill and Dora Ryder Corey. HENDRIX, Thomas L. of Mt. Juliet, TN passed away at the age of 81 on April 6, 2008. Mr. Hendrix served in the US Navy during WWII. He loved gardening and woodworking. He was preceded in death by parents, Richard and Fannie Belle Hendrix. RAY, Cathy Lynn - Age 48 years, of Lebanon, went to be with her Savior on Tuesday, February 3, 2009, after a 4 year battle with cancer. Cathy was a courageous and spiritual woman of the Pentecostal faith. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ina Mae Ray. Survived by her two sons, Michael P. Illobre, of Nashville; and Stephen (Brandy) Illobre, of Lebanon; father, Paul Ray; of Lebanon; brothers, Danny (Lynn) Ray, and Paul H. Ray, both of Mt. HILTON, Marietta, age 70 of Lebanon, passed away June 9th at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Mrs. Hilton was a Tennessee Licensed Funeral Director, C.F.O. with Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Millington, TN, and served on the County Election Commission.
