Charlie Cripps passed away on March 9, 2009 at age 76. He was a local business entrepreneur, a 57 year member of Fairview Church, a gun and knife collector, and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. The family will be accepting friends at Sellars Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 from 3-8 p.m. Visitation on Wednesday will be from 2 p.m. until service at Fairview Church. The church service, conducted by Brother Michael Christian and son Sid Cripps will eulogize, is 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at Fairview Church. Interment icon in Cedar Grove cemetery. Pallbearers: Derrell Reese, Wayne Ligon, Tommy Edwards, Lane Martin, Steve Hornsby, and David Bush. Honorary Pallbearers: Remaining active and inactive deacons’ body at Fairview Church, brother by love Guy Mathis, special friends A.B. Douglas "Buba" Graham
Died: Sunday, March 16, 2008
GRAHAM, Douglas “Buba”, 54, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2008 at Skyline Medical Center. He was a Veteran of the US Navy. Mr. Graham is survived by wife, Linda Jordan Graham; daughters, Kristy (Mark) Montoney of Camden, TN, Stephanie (Billy) Hammonds, and Jackie (Greg) Richards of Mt. Juliet, TN; mother, Nancy Jo Null Graham of Mt. Juliet, TN; sister, Linda (Bobby) Meadows of Mt. Juliet, TN; brother, Bobby Allen (Dawanna) Hale of Eagleville, TN; nephew, Bobby “Hotrod” Meadows; and grandchildren, Jacob Belcher, Cullen Belcher, Michaela Richards, Justin Richards, Cody Montoney, Lindsey Montoney, Teri Lynn Hammonds, and Brittany Hammonds. Services will be Wednesday, March 19th at 2 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Howard Plummer officiating. Interment icon at the Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens will follow the service. Clifford Blackwell
Died: Saturday, August 2, 2008
BLACKWELL, Clifford Gilbert
Mr. Clifford Blackwell passed away on August 2, 2008 at age 81. Mr. Blackwell’s 26 year service in the US Navy included WWII demolitions where he assisted with the pre-invasion and bombing of the beach at Normandy. He retired from Grumman Aerospace after 23 years, where he did hydraulic testing on Navy A/C (F-14 Tomcat, etc) and the Lunar Module. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 from 4-8 p.m., and on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. The service will be held at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans cemetery on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 2 p.m.
Survivors include daughter Amy Blackwell of Alexandria and brother Bill (Jere) Blackwell of California. He is preceded in death by parents William and Dolly Alexander Blackwell, wife Helen Masiuk Blackwell, sisters Annie Lumpkin, Era Raines, brothers Alexander Blackwell, James Blackwell, and twin Clarence Blackwell.

Lovett, Peggy Ruth
Died: Monday, March 2, 2009
LOVETT, Peggy Ruth - Peg Lovett entered into God’s grace on March 2, 2009 at age 71. The Memorial Service is Friday, March 6, 2009 at 7 p.m., Cainesville United Methodist Church. She was a member and treasurer of the Cainesville United Methodist church and an active member of the Friends of Cedars of Lebanon group.
Survivors include husband of 53 years Dwight Herbert Lovett; son: Daniel A. (Angela) Lovett; several nieces and nephews; and her “Sweetie” grandson: Sam Lovett. William Thompson, Sr.
Died: Sunday, May 4, 2008
THOMPSON, William J., “Bill” Sr., age 57, lost his battle with cancer on May 4, 2008. He is preceded in death by parents, William R. and Mary Kay Thompson of Ellsberry, MO. Mr. Thompson is survived by loving wife, Helen “Mickey” Thompson; daughter, Kimberly Thompson of St. Peters, MO; sons, William Jr. (Darlene) Thompson of Murfreesboro, TN and James (Jenny) Thompson of Olathe, KS and their soon-to-be born baby; grandchildren, Samantha, Ainsley, and William Jacob Thompson; his first wife, Sharon McKeever of St. Peters, MO; brother, Thomas Thompson of Morton, IL; and 3 nephews. In 1966, Mr. Thompson was ill and in a pioneering experiment, received the gift of life, a kidney transplant, from his mother’s friend, Verda Walton. It is believed that Bill was the longest living recipient from a non-related donor. Even though Mrs. Walton and her husband, Gene Walton, Bill’s close friend, have both passed away, Bill continued to enjoy his relationship with his “kidney sisters”, Paula Garrott and Dena Walton Thrasher, both of Springfield, IL. He has been owner and partner in many successful business ventures including medical imaging equipment, racecar services and woodworking tools. He has been a pilot and professional racecar driver. Bill enjoyed scuba diving, golfing, boating and fishing and was an avid bowler. He lived life to the fullest. Funeral service will be Thursday, May 8th, 7 pm at Sellars at Mt. Juliet. Visitation with the family will be from 5 pm until time of service. His family would like to thank Alive Hospice for their assistance and kind support during his final days. WILSON COUNTY - MCDANIEL, Pauline Mayberry, age 94 of Mt. Juliet passed away January 18, 2009. Preceded in death by husband, Kelly Beecher McDaniel; son, Kelly B. Mc Daniel; daughter, Louise McDaniel; brother, Donald Mayberry; great great-granddaughter, Hailey Jade Comer. Survived by daughters, Vivian McDaniel Comer, Patricia Kyle (Thomas) Vance, and Judy Caroline Richardson; son, Robert Ray (Annette) McDaniel; grandchildren, Mike Comer, David Comer, Tammy Rather, Denise Massey, Brian Vance, Jeffrey Vance, Renee Willette, Jason McDaniel, Kellie Forgery, and Keri Richardson; 18 great-grandchildren; and 4 great great-grandchildren. Ms McDaniel was a member of Mt. Juliet Church of Christ and the Mt. Juliet Senior Citizens Center. She retired as a supervisor at Clover Bottom with the State of Tennessee. She is survived by husband of 63 years, Cecil Gass; daughter, Diana Carter; daughter-in-law, Nancy Gass; brother, George Floyd; nephew, Richard Floyd; grandchildren, Michael Gass, Tony (Danielle) Gass, Patty Welch, Shane Carter, Sam Carter, and Stephen Gass; and 9 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband Frank Belcher, parents Norman and Betty Bundy Brewington, daughter Elizabeth Belcher, son Herbert Belcher, daughter-in-law Frankie Belcher, siblings Alonzo, Arthur, Hubert, Jesse Julius “Dooley”, Bessie, Clara, and Mary Lou “Jody” Brewington.

William Herschel Campbell
Died: Saturday, July 19, 2008
WILSON COUNTY - CAMPBELL, William Herschel, age 95 of Mt. Juliet, TN passed away on July 19, 2008. Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by parents, Nealus Tom and Ellen Thomas Campbell; brothers, Roy Campbell and George Campbell; and sister, Lelia Allison. He is survived by wife of 71 years, Annie Elizabeth Campbell; sons, Ralph (Nolene) Campbell and Wayne (Carolyn) Campbell; grandchildren, Chuck (Jackie) Campbell and Rachel (Brody) Ferrell; great-grandson, Grant Campbell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Campbell was employed at DuPont for 48 years and the Mt. Juliet Funeral Home for 12 years. He was an active member of the Mt. Juliet First Baptist Church serving as Deacon, Usher and Greeter. For 43 years, he ministered to Wilson County nursing homes including Margie Anna Nursing Home, Johnson Retirement Nursing Home, and Mt. Juliet Health Care. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd at 3 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Rev. Billy Friel, Rev. David Fallon, Ralph W. Campbell and Chuck Campbell officiating. Interment icon will follow the services at Wilson County Memorial Gardens, Lebanon, TN. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. William Glenn Johnson, Jr.
Died: Monday, August 18, 2008
Glenn Johnson, Jr. passed away on August 18, 2008 at age 59. After attending college, he served in the US Army Reserve initially as a paratrooper and then as a parachute rigger for a period of seven years. As a civilian, his many achievements were in the lighting field where he was a Corporate partner with Factory Sales Agency, Inc. and planned, along with his partners, the lighting for Ryman Auditorium, Shelby Street Bridge, Demonbreun Street Bridge, Monroe/Carell Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, Country Music Hall of Fame, the Convention Center, LP Field Arena and many other venues. His humanitarian works were being a major fundraiser with Special Olympics, the first Sara Lee Golf Classic, the Nashville Golf Classic serving on the Board of Directors and Cumberland Heights where he was named Volunteer of the Year.
Survivors include mother Billie Baggett Roney of Hermitage; sister: Kendy (Dwight) Staggs of Hermitage; brothers: Kevin (Sheron) Johnson of Hendersonville and Bruce (Michele) Johnson of Augusta GA; step-mother: Lucy Johnson of Augusta GA; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by father Glenn Johnson Sr., grandparents Willie and Lillie Johnson of Lebanon, and Jesse and Clara Baggett of Old Hickory.
The Memorial Service, officiated by Dr. John Ishee, is 2 p.m. Saturday, September 13, 2008, Fairview Church (1660 Leeville Pike, Lebanon TN). Visitation at the church is from noon until service on Saturday.
