Robert “Charlie” Harris passed away on February 4, 2009 at age 80. The family will be receiving friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon on Friday, February 6, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. and on Saturday from noon until service. Sherry Taylor passed away on May 1, 2008 at age 55. The family will be accepting friends at Sellars Funeral Home in Lebanon on Sunday, May 4, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. and on Monday from 1 p.m. until service. The chapel service, conducted by Brother Danny Sellars, is at 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2008. Interment icon in Cedar Grove cemetery. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Robert Brown passed away on January 15, 2009 at age 62. The family will be accepting friends at Sellars Funeral Home on Sunday, January 18, 2009 from 4-8 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until service. WILSON COUNTY - BROWN, Marcia “Ma”, age 93 of Mt. Juliet passed away February 14, 2009. Preceded in death by husband, John McFarland Brown; sons, Bo and Kenneth Brown; daughters, Ruth Brown and Sue White; parents, John & Laura Tomlinson Davis; and numerous brothers and sisters. Survived by grandchildren, Frank White, Jr., Steve White, Donna Harmon, Cindy Miller, Timmy White, Melissa Deasy, Sherry Brown, Tammy Luttrell, and Micah Wolf; 14 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 17th at 1pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet with Bro. Steve White officiating. Survived by son, Ray Linton of Puyallup, WA; daughters, Vicky Linton of Mt. Juliet, TN, Judy (Nick) Pandalos of Smyrna, TN, Alice (Andy) Spickard of Mt. Juliet, TN and Peggy (Eddie) Allen of Goodlettsville, TN; daughter-in-law, Barbara Linton of Lebanon, TN; brother, Johnie H. Luther of Hermitage, TN; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Saturday, May 3rd at 3 pm at Sellars at Mt. Juliet. Interment icon will follow the service at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Smith, Gary Wendel, age 69, of Nashville, passed away December 28, 2007. He was a member of the Native American Indian Association and a member of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his loving family, wife of 49 years, Anita L. Smith of Nashville; son, Gary A. (Kathy) Smith of Goodlettsville; daughter, Kerry D. (Gregory A.) Philhower of Eagleville; sisters, Sherry Frazor and Pamela Bly; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

RUTH H. EGNOR
1916-2009
Velma Ruth Hill Egnor went to be with her Lord, January 13, 2009. She was born in 1916 in Ohio Co. WV to Ancle Roy and Westa Virginia Hill, the fifth child of a family of seven, all of whom have preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death are her husband Dorsey Lee Egnor (1957), one grandson Randall Gene Adkins and one great-granddaughter Bethany Nicole Reynolds.

COGGINS, Janie Clarice Sweeney Age 84 years, of Hermitage, passed from this life January 26, 2009. Mrs. Sweeney retired from Tennco Services in Nashville after 35 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, Claude G. & Mary Sweeney; husband, Harold E. Coggins, Sr.; granddaughter, Lindsey Garretson; brothers, Claude G. Sweeney, Jr. ; and William S. Sweeney.

CATHY LYNN RAY
1960-2009
RAY, Cathy Lynn - Age 48 years, of Lebanon, went to be with her Savior on Tuesday, February 3, 2009, after a 4 year battle with cancer. Cathy was a courageous and spiritual woman of the Pentecostal faith. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ina Mae Ray. Survived by her two sons, Michael P. Illobre, of Nashville; and Stephen (Brandy) Illobre, of Lebanon; father, Paul Ray; of Lebanon; brothers, Danny (Lynn) Ray, and Paul H. Ray.

WILLIAM T. MALONE
1916-2009
Malone, William Thomas ‘Will T.’ Age 93 of Nashville passed away on Feb. 6, 2009. Mr. Malone, a musician and business owner, was a US veteran, serving in Europe in WWII. He graduated from Watertown High School in 1934, attended State Teachers College in Murfreesboro from 1934 to 1936, and earned a business degree from Cumberland College in 1939, where he was the college’s first band director. He played saxophone and clarinet.

DELEVANTE, Helen Ann- Age 76 years, of Nashville, passed from this life February 11, 2009. She is preceded in death by husband, Robert Delevante, Sr. Survived by sons, Robert Jr. (Ann) and Michael (Julie); grandchildren, Emma, Ben, John Owen, Ella, and Noah; sisters, Joan and Bernice, both of NJ; host of nieces and nephews. Helen was a courageous and loving wife, mother, and adoring grandmother.

CECIL ROSS SCAIFE
1927-2009
Scaife, Cecil Ross –Age 81 passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2009. Cecil Scaife was born in Phillips County, Arkansas on April 13, 1927 to Brooks and Elsie Lumpkin Scaife. He attended the University of Arkansas at Monticello where he was President of the Student Body, voted ‘Most Likely to Succeed” as well as “Wittiest” among his peers. In 1986, he was selected Alumnus of the year and an endowment was established in his honor.

RUFFIN, Glenda L. Age 54 years, passed from this life March 9, 2009. Glenda was employed with Lincare Home Infusion for many years. She is preceded in death by brother, Tommy Thompson. Survived by daughter, Elizabeth Ruffin; grandson, Joey; parents, Charles and Bernice Thompson; brother, Kevin Thompson; and a host of extended family and friends. PAUL COURTLAND KEMMERLY

KEMMERLY, Dr. Paul Courtland passed away on December 21, 2008 after a brief illness. He was born in Tulsa, OK on January 15, 1932 to Dr. Harry Paul “Doc” and Marguerite Kemmerly and raised on the family horse farm where he learned to ride, rope, care for horses, and become one of the youngest professional rodeo bull-dogger’s, Paul graduated from Tulsa, Will Rogers H.S. in 1950 and immediately joined the United States Marine Corps.

POWELL, Wendy Carney Age 50 years, passed from this life December 18, 2008. She is survived by her husband, Phil Powell; children, Andrew Powell and Daniel Powell; father in law, Leonard Powell; several cousins, and extended family; friends, Angel Burrows, Donna Young, Sheila Atkins, and Ann Glasgow. She was a dear woman, and will be missed by all. Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 23, 2008, at 12 noon from the Serenity Chapel.

RHODEN, E. Jeanette Age 81 years, of Springfield, TN, passed away December 14, 2008. Mrs. Rhoden was a missionary with the Church of the Nazarene for 33 years, along with her husband Maurice M. Rhoden, who preceded her in death in June. She is survived by children, Stephen Rhoden, Nathan Rhoden, and Marie Olsen; 2 grandchildren, and four great -grandchildren. Memorial Services are scheduled for Sunday, December 21, 2008, at 3PM.

WILLIAM PATTON SMITH, JR.
1918-2008
SMITH, William Patton Age 90 of Nashville. Born February 15, 1918 in San Benito, TX. passed away December 7, 2008. Mr. Smith was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, colleague and friend. A true Texan, Mr. Smith graduated from Texas A & M University and dedicated his career as an engineer to Central Power and Light, where he retired as Vice President in 1983. He was also a proud World War II veteran of the United States Army, an outdoorsman.

L.M. McGuire
L.M. McGuire, 81, of Cloverdale community died Aug. 15, 2007, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was the father of Obion County Mayor Benny McGuire of Hornbeak. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Curry Funeral Home in Dyersburg. Burial will follow at Fairview cemetery in Dyersburg.

Evelyn Hudspeth
Completed arrangements are being announced for Evelyn Hunter (Howse) Hudspeth, 95, of Union City, who died Aug. 16, 2007, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at White-Ranson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in East View cemetery.
