Charles Ernest Keathley
Charles Ernest Keathley, 70, of Mt. Juliet, passed away Feb. 8, 2004.
Keathley was born Sept. 27, 1933, in White county to Jim and Verta Hutchings Keathley.
He was retired from Ford Motor Company.
Keathley was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Geneva Jenkins Keathley, of Mt. Juliet; two sons, Kevin Keathley, of Indianapolis, Ind., Chuck Keathley and wife, Laura, of Toledo, Ohio; one sister, Mildred Sparkman, of Cleveland; two brothers, James Keathley, of Sparta, Jerry Keathley. of Brentwood; two grandchildren, Adrienne Keathley, of Atlanta, Ga., and Emma Keathley, of Indianapolis, Ind.
Arrangements: Services will be at 11 a.m., Feb. 10, 2004, at Hunter Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Peeled Chestnut cemetery. Bro. Fate Wilson will officiate.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Marion Wootton
Marion Wootton, 99, of Sparta, passed away Feb. 4, 2004.
Wootton was born Nov. 12, 1904, in Christian County, Ky., to William Douglas Boyd and Susie Mae Wills Boyd.
She was a retired school teacher and taught in the Montgomery County Schools for 25 years and in Kentucky for an additional 5 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Frank Datillo Wootton.
Survivors include one son, William F. Wootton, of Sparta.
Arrangements: Services were at 11 a.m., Feb. 6, 2004, graveside at White's Chapel cemetery. Rev. Karen Barrineau officiated.

Iris Novella Bain Adams
Iris Novella Bain Adams, 91, of Rock Island, passed away Feb. 8, 2004.
Adams was born Feb. 5, 1913, in White County to Jessie Arch Bain and Ninnie Grisson Bain.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Orene Adams, of Rock island, four daughters, Deborah Ballew, of Bone Cave, Anna Mae Sharp, Jewellene McGowan, both of Rock Island, Lucille Wagner, of Lansing, Mich.; five sons, Bobby Adams, Bill Adams, both of Bone Cave, Julius Adams, Ivey Hillis, James H. Dickie Hillis, all of McMinnville; 29 grandchildren; 58 great grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Gladys Hash, of McMinnville.
Arrangements: Services will be at 1 p.m., Feb. 10, 2004, at High Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Shiloh cemetery at Mud Creek. Danny Sullivan will officiate.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Leona Blaylock Davis Clemmons
Leona Blaylock Davis Clemmons, 88, of Sparta, passed away Feb. 5, 2004.
Clemmons was born March 15, 1915, in White County, to Frank Blaylock and Laura Tollison Blaylock.
She had been a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Beulah "Tootsie" and Lester Taylor, of Sparta; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Connie Davis, Jackie and Mary Ann Davis, Leslie and Regina Davis, all of Sparta; two sisters, Lorene Young, Estelle Blaylock, both of Sparta; one brother, Cordell Blaylock, of Chattanooga; 12 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Arrangements: Services were at 2 p.m., Feb. 7, 2004, at Hunter Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Eastland cemetery. Ed Todd and Freddie Copeland officiated.
Hunter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Tiffany Faith Robinson Jenkins
Tiffany Faith Robinson Jenkins, 30, of Georgia, formerly of White County, passed away Feb. 6, 2004.
Jenkins was born to Jack Robinson and Mary Robinson.
She had been a dispatcher for E911 in Georgia.
Jenkins was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Wayne Robinson.
Survivors include her husband, Von Jenkins, of Georgia; one son, Oliver Jenkins, of Georgia; father, Jack Robinson and wife Kathleen, of Sparta; and mother, Mary Robinson, of Georgia.
Arrangements: Memorial services will be at 2 p.m., Feb. 15, 2004 at East Sparta Church of God. Bro. James Rittenberry will officiate.

Dimple I. Howard Martin
Dimple I. Howard Martin, 92, of Sparta, passed away Dec. 10, 2003, at Master's Healthcare Center, in Algood.
Martin was born Feb. 22, 1911, in White County, to Evan Howard and Margaret Saylors Howard.
She had been a homemaker.
Martin was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include one daughter, Bobbie Langley, of Cookeville; one son, James Martin, of Sparta; six grandchildren; nine grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Howard, of Sparta; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: Services will be at 3 p.m., Dec. 12, 2003, at Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Old Zion cemetery. David Lee England will officiate.

William Hubert Thompson
William Hubert Thompson, 83, of Sparta, passed away Sept. 25, 2003.
Thompson was born July 27, 1920, in White County, to William Cleveland Thompson and Ollie Laurntine Thurman Thompson.
He had been a farmer and livestock dealer.
Thompson was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kathy Thompson; brother, Herbert Brown Thompson.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Hunter Thompson; two brothers, Eddie Thompson and Mike Thompson, both of Sparta; one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Jim Bailey, of Hendersonville; five sisters, Nettye Howard, Jesse Howard, Pearl Spitzer and Jo Dickey, all of Indiana and Alvesta Woodall, of Nashville; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Arrangements: Services were at 1 p.m., Sept. 28, 2003, at Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Plainview cemetery in Cassville. Bro. James Wright and Don Howard officiated.

Aline Johnson
Aline Johnson, 63, of Sparta, passed away Sept. 23, 2003, at Mid Western Medical Center, in Zion, Ill.
Johnson was born Jan. 27, 1940, in Putnam County, to Dallas and Nicie Foster Holloway.
She was a member of Community Free Will Baptist Church and was retired director of Sparta Head Start.
Johnson was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Cordell Holloway.
Survivors include her husband Rev. Dillard Johnson; one daughter and son-in-law, Rena and Michael Johnson, of Cookeville; brother and sister-in-law, Delbert and Nola Holloway, of Monterey; sister and brother-in-law, Bessie and Rev. David Lee England, of Sparta; four grandchildren, LaTisha Johnson, Landon Johnson, Layne Johnson and Laken Johnson; several nieces, nephews and additional family members.
Arrangements: Services were at 1:30 p.m., Sept. 28, 2003, at Community Free Will Baptist Church with burial in Plainview cemetery in Cassville. Bro. Carson Whiteaker and Bro. Jerry Sester officiated.

Myrtle Frances Margeson
1935-2009
Myrtle Frances Margeson, 73, of Sparta, passed away March 26, 2009, at Masters Healthcare Center, in Algood.
Mrs. Margeson was born April 24, 1935, in White County, to the James Estel and Willie Lee Brady Young Brymer Young.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Martin Margeson; son, Freddy Lynn Margeson; grandson, Gage Wyatt Youngblood; sisters, Hazel Mabe, Geraldine Anderson; and a stepdaughter, Ellen Margeson.
Survivors include her husband, J.C. Margeson, of Akron, Ohio; children, Lillie and Donnie Henry, Brenda Brady, Angela and Donald Sparks, Stanley Margeson, J.T. and Nancy Margeson Jerry and Kathy Margeson, all of Sparta, Shirley and Johnnie Riddle, of Columbus, Ind., Mary and Carl Youngblood, of Utica, Mich.; 20 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; seven brothers, F.L. Young, James Richard Young, Joe Young, Harold Young, Kenneth Young, Leonard Young, James Carol Young, all of Sparta; four sisters, Elise Gentry, Mary Flatt, Linda Mooneyham, all of Sparta, Ruby Dillon, of McMinnville; two stepchildren, Larry Margeson and wife Mary and Gary Margeson, all of Akron, Ohio.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., March 29, 2009, at Hensley’s Chapel Baptist Church, with burial in Young cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church March 28 after 5 p.m. and on Sunday until time for the service. Bro. Adrian McFarlin and Bro. J. C. Allen will officiate.

Matthew Brian Winkler
Matthew Brian Winkler was born November 21, 1974, in Ft. Worth, Texas, the son of Dan and Diane Boyd Winkler. He was united in marriage to Mary Carol Freeman on April 20, 1996.
Matthew was a minister of the gospel for 10 years, having served the Fourth Street Church of Christ in Selmer, Tennessee for 13 months. Matthew departed this life on March 22, 2006 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 31 Years, 4 Months, 1 Day.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Mary Carol Winkler of Selmer, Tennessee; three daughters: Patricia, Allie and Breanna Winkler, all of Selmer, Tennessee; two brothers: Daniel Winkler and wife Holly and Jacob Winkler and wife Lane, all of Nashville, Tennessee; maternal grandmother Eloise Boyd of Arlington, Texas; paternal grandmother Betty Winkler of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; and father-in-law Clark Freeman of Knoxville, Tennessee.
Funeral services were on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at 11:00 AM at Fourth Street Church of Christ with Dan Winkler and Eddie Thompson officiating. Burial followed at 3:00 PM at Carroll County Memorial Gardens in Huntingdon, Tennessee. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer were in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, a fund has been set up for the children: Winkler Family Fund, 229 Ward Circle, Suite A-23, Brentwood, TN 37027.
