Charlene Wilson Trantham
Charlene (Charlie) Wilson Trantham was born December 25, 1952 in Selmer, Tennessee. She is the daughter of the late Eulas Grant and Beatrice Pegram Wilson. Mrs. Trantham was retired from International Paper Company and was a member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Trantham departed this life on July 5, 2011 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 58 Years, 6 Months, 9 Days. She is survived by two brothers, Sidney Grant Wilson of Tuscon, AZ and Don Wilson of Bethel Springs, TN; a special niece and great-niece who helped care for Charlene, Nancy White of Finger, TN and daughter Natalie White of Cordova, TN; great-niece Briana Wilson of Bethel Springs, TN; and a host of additional nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Trantham was preceded in death by three sisters: Jean Upright, Faye Wilson, and Patricia Norlin; and three brothers: Jere Pegram, Richard Wilson, and Gerald Wilson.
Services were held on July 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with Paul Henley officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion cemetery at McNairy, Tennessee.

Carol Harris
Carol Ann Goodman Harris was born December 27, 1960 in New Orleans, Louisiana the daughter of Tom Goodman, Sr. and the late Kathryn Harville Long. Miss Harris had worked at Video Connection in Adamsville, TN. She attended the Bethel Springs Church of God. She was kind hearted, loved spending time with her family and was a loving mother and grandmother. Miss Harris departed this life on August 3, 2011 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 50 Years, 7 Months, 7 Days. She is survived by a daughter, Jenny Harris of Carthage, TN; a son, Brandon Harris of Selmer, TN; father, Tom Goodman, Sr. of Des Moines, IA; a sister, Debra Wolford and husband Jimmy of Selmer, TN; two brothers, Tom Goodman Jr. and wife Tina Rose of Selmer, TN, David Ayres of Selmer, TN; two grandchildren, Isaac and Leighla Kathleen Harris both of Selmer, TN; host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Funeral services were held on Sat., August 6, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with Chuck Castles officiating. Burial followed in the New Salem cemetery at Bethel Springs, Tennessee.
Pallbearers were Daniel Wolford, Brian Goodman, Tommy Goodman, James Combs, Terry Cline, & Brandon Harris.

Carlos Henry Ward
Carlos Henry Ward was born January 30, 1941 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Carl Henry Ward and Arita Jane Miller Ward. Mr. Ward was a retired maintenance supervisor with Coca Cola of Memphis, he had worked there for over 20 years. He attended Clear Creek Baptist Church in the Lawton community. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He loved to fish with his best friend, Little O. and enjoyed gardening, eating at Kay’s restaurant in Selmer, and was able to fix just about anything. Mr. Ward departed this life on July 24, 2011 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 5 Months, 24 Days. He is survived by daughter, Theresa Robinson and husband Paul of Selmer, TN; step-daughter, Debi French and husband Howard of Collierville, TN; six grandchildren, Jeremy Robinson and wife Lori, Heather Whitten and husband Colton, Carrie Coulter, Tanya Kiser, Jeremy French, Brittany French; two great grandchildren, Braydon Robinson, Shelby Lynn Whitten; a sister, Mildred Miller of Meridian, MS; a brother, Arnold Ward and wife Mildred of Lawton, TN; special friend, Jeanette Ward of Cordova, TN; host of extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ward was preceded in death by three brothers, Sammy, Nelson, and Sterling Ward.
Funeral services were held on July 27, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with Bro. Harold King officiating. Burial followed in the Clear Creek cemetery at Selmer, Tennessee.

Bob Nowicki
Bob Nowicki was born in Queens, New York on August 19, 1961, the son of Barbara Kent Carsley and the late Robert Henry Nowicki, Sr.
On October 18, 1997 he was united in marriage to Debbie Girards, who survives. Mr. Nowicki was raised in Greenlawn, New York, he had also lived in Greenville, New York for 6 years, and in Adamsville, Tennessee for 6 years. He had worked as a Volunteer Fireman in Greenville, New York and was retired from the New York Police Department after 20 years of service, where he was with the 100th Precinct and the 50th Precinct. He had most recently been employed with TDOT as a Transportation Responder. Mr. Nowicki was a member of the Patrolman’s Benevolence Association, and enjoyed motorcycles. Mr. Nowicki departed this life on Monday, June 20, 2011, at the age of 49 years, 10 months, 1 day. He is survived by his wife Debbie Nowicki of Adamsville, Tennessee; 2 sons, Robert Henry Nowicki, III and Jonathan Daniel Nowicki both of Adamsville, Tennessee; 2 daughters, Amanda Valentine Nowicki and Amy Elizabeth Nowicki both of Adamsville, Tennessee; mother, Barbara Carsley and husband Patrick of Monroe, New York; 5 brothers, Bill, Steven, Dan, Craig, and Kevin Nowicki all of Monroe, New York. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Nowicki.
Services were held on June 24, 2011 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Adamsville, Tennessee, with Bro. Phil Mitchell and Marty Estes officiating. Burial followed in the Adamsville cemetery at Adamsville, Tennessee.

Bob Curtis Bonee, Sr.
Bob Curtis Bonee, Sr. was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on May 27, 1931 the son of the late Jess Morgan and Cora Lena Brown Bonee. On September 16, 1958 he was united in marriage to Judith Kay Hicks, who preceded him in death on September 4, 2009. Mr. Bonee was a self-employed carpenter. Mr. Bonee departed this life on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the age of 80 years and 16 days.
He is survived by a son, Curtis Bonee of Savannah, Tennessee; 3 daughters, Shirley Lovelace of Iuka, Mississippi, Sandra Belue of Savannah, Tennessee and Sharon Wilson also of Iuka, Mississippi; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lois Turner and Maudi Bonee both of Savannah, Tennessee. In addition to his parents and wife, Rev. Judith Bonee, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Curtis Allen Bonee.
Services will be held on June 15, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Church of The Redeemed in Adamsville, Tennessee, with Danny Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in the Crossroads cemetery at Hardin County, Tennessee.

Billy Wayne Martin
Billy Wayne Martin, age 73 passed away June 2, 2011 at Tri-County Convalescent Home in Adamsville. Mr. Martin was born and reared in Adamsville, the son of the late Autman and Bessie Essary Martin. He went to school at Adamsville. He worked as a funeral director at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer and Savannah and later Johnson Funeral Home and Casey Funeral Home in Henderson. In the early 70’s he owned and operated M & W Ambulance Service in Henderson with his partner Elmer Weaver. He was a licensed electrician and owned and operated C & M Electrical on Front Street in Henderson with Frank Clayton. He served in the Tennessee National Guard, was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd Degree Shriner at the Al Chymia Temple in Memphis. He was a former president of the Lions Club in Henderson. He served on the original Chester County Fair and Livestock board in Henderson and had served as its president. He was former president of the Henderson Jaycees and was chairman of many of its Christmas parades. He served on the Chester County Democratic Executive Committee. He was one of the founding members of the Hickory Corner Community Center. He played a part with the ambulance service in the first Walking Tall Movie. He attended Faith Fellowship Church. He is survived by his wife, Bonice Maness Martin of Henderson; three daughters, Debbie Cole and husband Don of Johnson City, Ruth Ann Lane and husband Chuck of Henderson and Dianne Kesler and husband Don of Henderson; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren and also two sisters, Shirley Struble of Savannah and Mildred Shields of Bolivar.
Funeral services were 2:00 PM Sunday at Shackelford Funeral Directors Casey Chapel with Bro. Ken Frye officiating and burial followed in Little Hatchie cemetery in Chester County.

Billy Joe Miller
Billy Joe Miller, born the son of Novella King in Selmer, TN on Nov. 6, 1929 died in North Kansas City Hospital in Kansas City, MO on June 1, 2011 from thyroid cancer and natural causes at the age of 82 years. Billy was a retired sheet metal mechanic for TWA Airlines in Kansas City, MO. He also worked for Cessna in Wichita, KA prior to moving to Kansas City in the early 60’s to work for TWA at the Kansas City overhaul base. Billy and his family were avid boaters and campers as they traveled in their RV for many years. Along with his wife Mary Jean Taylor Miller who preceded him in death on Oct. 15, 2010, they camped in many states throughout the South and the Southwest United States. Finally, they camped part-time on Luther Ingle Road in Ramer, TN where they attended church at the Unity Baptist Church. During their time spent at home in Kansas City, they attended the Tower View Baptist Church.
Survivors are his two children, Robert Clay Miller and wife Summer of Rayville, MO and Deborah Jo Elam of Kansas City, MO; four grandchildren, Dustin Clay Miller, Jennifer Lynn Miller, Samantha Miller, Nathan Stephen Elam; one great-grandson, Mason Clay Miller.
Funeral services will be held at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer, TN on Sat., June 11, 2011, at 11:00 AM with interment icon to follow in the Ramer cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, June 10, 2011, from 5:30 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Billy Huggins
Billy Huggins was born July 12, 1935 in Ramer, Tennessee the son of the late John Franklin and Bessie Jones Huggins. He was united in marriage to Mae Louise Leatherwood on April 15, 1971. Mr. Huggins retired as a machine operator for General Electric in Selmer after 20 plus years of service. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force, having been discharged in 1963, and was a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. Huggins enjoyed watching sports and camping with his family and friends. Mr. Huggins departed this life on August 7, 2011 in Bethel Springs, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 26 Days. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Mae Louise (Leatherwood) Huggins of Bethel Springs, TN; four daughters: Patricia Dean and husband David of Morristown, TN, Wanda Jones and husband Charlie of Hornsby, TN, Dorothy Jean Cloud and husband Gary of Murfreesboro, TN, Mary Kaye Jumper and fiancee James Reed of Selmer, TN; five sons: Jeff Anthony and wife Stephanie of Kingston Springs, TN, Timothy Wayne Huggins and wife Vivian of Selmer, TN, R. C. Huggins, Jr. and wife Marcella of Ramer, TN, Anthony Wade Huggins and wife Patricia of Jackson, TN, Brian Keith Huggins of Selmer, TN; 25 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Polly Roberts of Sorento, FL; two brothers, Howard Lee Huggins and wife Bonnie of Glen, MS, Harold Roy Huggins and wife Madge of Selmer, TN; and many extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Huggins was preceded in death by three brothers: R. C. Huggins, Billie Jean Huggins, Johnnie Huggins, Jr.
Services were held on August 9, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with Timothy Wayne Huggins officiating. Burial followed in the Ramer cemetery at Ramer, Tennessee.

Billy Hill
Billy Hill, 80, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Regional Hospital of Jackson. The family received friends Monday, June 13th with service following at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Fireside Chapel-Memphis, TN. Burial will be at Beauty Hill cemetery in Bethel Springs, TN on Wednesday, June 15th at 4 p.m. He is survived by his daughter Billie Melynda Hill; life long friend Lisa Fears; sisters Reba Fay Hardie and Betty Huggins, a brother, Joe Neal Hill; grandchildren Kristen Alexandria Hill and Kyra Matin; four nieces and one nephew. Billy will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Billie Sue Redmon
Billie Sue Redmon passed from this life on July 15, 2011 at the age of 77 after a long illness. Her life was one well lived in service to the Lord and her family. She was the daughter of the late Maynard and Ethelyn Robinson Murry. Mrs. Redmon was united in marriage to Franklin Delano Redmon on Oct. 31, 1951. She was a member of Bethel Springs Presbyterian Church, where she faithfully served in many capacities, including Sunday school teacher for many years. Mrs. Redmon also was a substitute school teacher and served on several boards at the Farm Service Agency. Although she also assisted her husband in their family business, Redmon Lime Company, her greatest role was homemaker and taking extraordinary care of her large and extended family. Her life was full, happy and a blessing to all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Redmon is survived two daughters, Linda Russell and husband Randy of Bethel Springs, TN, Shelia Chapman and husband Alan of Decatur, AL; two sons, Bobby Redmon and wife Tracy of Bethel Springs, TN, Barry Redmon and wife Connie of Selmer, TN; nine grandchildren, Amanda Huddleston and husband Brad, Clint Russell and wife Delise, Stefanie Chapman, Melissa Roby, Brooke Benton and husband Anthony, Kirby Redmon, Sara Beth Redmon, Tyler Redmon, Landon Redmon; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Gail McCullar and husband David of Bethel Springs, TN; a brother, Joe Murry of Bethel Springs, TN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Delano Redmon; an infant daughter; grandson, Douglas Redmon; niece, Jenna McCullar and a sister, Bernice Trangmar. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the following, the wonderful caregivers, Chris, Kristy, Christian, Teresa, Melissa, Beverly, Diane, Ruthie, Virginia, Peggy, Sandra, and Carol; Volunteer Home Health and Dr. Drew Eason and the staff at Prime Care Medical Center.

Born in Union City, TN to A. C. Bushart & Grace Primrose Bushart. He was married to Juanita Burcham, June 6, 1945. They had 3 children: Terry J. Graham (Jerry), Debby Clayton (Ronnie) and Michael C. Bushart all of Selmer.
He has seven grandchildren: Amber Tanner, April Clayton, Ashley Phillips, (twins) Conner and Colton Bushart, John and Chris (deceased); one great-grandson, Christian Graham.
He later married Betty Adams & they had one daughter Cindy Curry and 1/2 daughter Missy Nelson. He had a free spirit & many friends. He will be missed by many.

Betty Jo Walker
Betty Jo Walker was born November 12, 1934 in Hope, Arkansas the daughter of the late William Henry David and Lodie Lee West Smith.
Miss Walker worked various jobs during her lifetime. She was a Baptist.
Miss Walker departed this life on June 28, 2011 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 7 Months, 16 Days.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Cline and husband Terry, Sr. of Ramer, TN; three grandchildren, Angela Marie Russom, Tracy Danelle Russom, Terry Dale Cline Jr.; 4 Great Grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Miss Walker was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Bobby Russom; two sisters, Helen Campbell, Irene Stafford; three brothers, David Lee Smith, McEdward Smith, Bobby Gene Smith.
Funeral services were held on Sat., July 2, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with Bro. Jetta Forsythe officiating. Burial followed in the Lebanon cemetery at Saltillo, Tennessee.

Betsy Regina Carter
Memorial services for Betsy Regina Carter, 54, Norfolk, VA, were June 11, 2011 at 4 p.m. at Shawnettee Methodist Church, Collinwood, TN. She died June 7, 2011 and her body was cremated. Gina was preceded in death by her father, Redgie Carter. Survivors include her companion, Wayne Cheshire, Norfolk, VA; her mother, Betty Carter, Iron City, TN; two brothers, Joe Carter (Kim), Boone, NC, Jeff Carter, Iron City, TN; sister, Jeanne Carter, Selmer, TN; nieces, Trual Rockwell, Kristen Carter, Hannah Carter.

Bertha Treece
Bertha Treece was born April 10, 1921 in Milledgeville, Tennessee the daughter of the late Clifford and Pearl McCormick Hill. She was united in marriage to Herman Treece on January 14, 1939. Mr. Treece preceded her in death on December 9, 1998. Mrs. Treece was a member of Selmer First Baptist Church for 58 years and was a very active member of the Ruth Sunday School Class and the WMU.
She was a great prayer warrior for the church. She was retired from Brown Shoe Company with 30 years of employment. Mrs. Treece departed this life on June 1, 2011 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 1 Month, 22 Days. She is survived by a son, Jerry Treece and wife Barbara of Collierville, TN; five grandchildren, Sherry, Amy, Ryan, Kimbie, and Carol; twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers, Floyd Hill of Adamsville, TN, Cratis Hill of Selmer, TN; a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Treece was preceded in death by a son, Gary H. Treece on July 9, 1989; a sister, Beulah Walker; two brothers, Velmer Hill, Wilford Hill.
Services were held on June 4, 2011 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with Bro. Max Walker officiating. Burial followed in the Oak Hill cemetery at Selmer, Tennessee. Serving as Pallbearers were Ryan Treece, Billy Lichterman, Brent Stone, Johnny Hill, Joe Hill, David Hill.
Memorials may be made to Selmer First Baptist Church.

Beedie Estella Floyd
Beedie Estella Plunk Floyd was born December 14, 1919 in Adamsville, Tennessee the daughter of the late Daniel Jefferson and Martha Luiza Plunk. She was united in marriage to Holland L. (Pop) Floyd June 26, 1948. Mr. Floyd preceded her in death on August 10, 1974.
Mrs. Floyd was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. She loved to fish, garden, tend to flowers, quilt, and talk on the phone (social networking). She was a member of the Women of The Moose. What was most important to her was loving her family. Mrs. Floyd departed this life on Thursday, July 28, 2011 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 91 Years, 7 Months, 14 Days. She is survived by two sons, Larry Holland Floyd and wife Linda of Ramer, TN, Leland Neil Floyd and wife Debra of Ramer, TN; four grandchildren, Pamela Ross and husband Chuck of Bethel Springs, TN, Darrin Floyd and wife Sherry of Savannah, TN, Shannon Floyd and wife Nicole of Ramer, TN, Kevin Floyd of Rogersville, AL; 7 Great Grandchildren. A host of extended family and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by a son, Lowell Thomas Floyd; a sister, Irma E. (Plunk) Huggins; four brothers, Jefferson David Plunk, James Beuard Plunk, William Henry Plunk, Arbie Olea Plunk.
Funeral services were held on Sat., July 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with Bro. Albert Brown officiating. Burial followed in the Liberty cemetery near Bethel Springs, Tennessee.

Barbara Ann Owle
Barbara Ann Owle was born August 10, 1951 in Selmer, Tennessee the daughter of the late Johnny Lee and Dovie Brown Littlejohn. Mrs. Owle departed this life on June 13, 2011 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 59 Years, 10 Months, 3 Days.
She was united in marriage to Brian Owle on August 18, 2009.
Mrs. Owle was a factory worker. She was a member of Olivet Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Savannah, Tennessee.
She is survived by her husband Brian Owle of Savannah, TN; two daughters, Teresa Brewer of Savannah, TN, Roxanne Brewer of Selmer, TN; two sisters, Patsy Littlejohn of Selmer, TN, Christine Littlejohn of Selmer, TN; two brothers, Wayne Littlejohn of Corinth, MS, Tommy Littlejohn of Corinth, MS; five grandchildren, Felicia Dickey, Nicholas Dickey, Jessica Brewer, Colton Brewer, Tyler Brewer; a great-grandchild, Kimberly Baxter; a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs Owle was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Dickey; a brother, Roger Dale Littlejohn.
