Onie Truman Hinds, age 78, of Jamestown, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 at Cumberland Medical Center.
Mr. Hinds was born September 12, 1933 in Jamestown, Tennessee. He was an automobile worker.
Mr. Hinds is survived by wife, Jewelene (Rains) Hinds of Jamestown; daughter, Melissa Bilbrey and husband Shane of Crossville; two grandchildren, Nikole Bilbrey and Johnathan Bilbrey; great-grandchild, Parker Bilbrey; and two brothers, Tyson Hinds and wife Barbara of Hickory, NC and Zenith Hinds and wife Bulah of Jamestown.
Mr. Hinds was preceded in death by father, Porter Hinds; mother, Elva (Beaty) Hinds; and four brothers, Lyman Hinds, Donald Hinds, Clyde Hinds and Delmore Hinds.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 24, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Roger Burks officiating. Burial followed in the Wolf River cemetery. Pallbearers included Shane Bilbrey, Johnathan Bilbrey, Roger Ellis, John Cargile, Jerry Cargile, Tim Holt, James Holt and Byron Ledbetter.

ANTHONY JEREMIAH SOUTH
Anthony Jeremiah South, age 14, of Prospect, TN, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011.
Anthony was a Christian Leader at Sunrise Chapel. He enjoyed football, basketball and was a member of the Beta Club and the Scholastic Bowl.
Anthony is survived by parents, Gary and Elizabeth Holland South of Prospect, TN; four brothers, Devin South, Nathaniel South, Ronnie South and Allen South all of Prospect, TN; sister, Isabelle South of Prospect, TN; grandparents, Paul and Betty Ruble of Jamestown, Myrna Greer of Georgia and Diamond Davis of Jamestown; God parents, Anthony and Mattie Bledsoe of Elkton, TN and PaPa and Nana, Randy and Debby Taylor of Pulaski, TN.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 17, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie Woodard, Bro. Anthony Bledsoe and Rev. Randy Taylor officiating. Also services on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Fairview United Baptist Church with Bro. Troy Bolen officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview United Baptist Church cemetery in Jamestown, TN.

AMOS T. BALDWIN
Amos T. Baldwin, age 92, of Dayton, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011.
Mr. Baldwin was born October 24, 1919 in Wilder, Tennessee. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was the recipient of three purple hearts and four bronze stars. He retired from General Motors after 32 1/2 years of service. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Dayton.
Mr. Baldwin is survived by wife of 64 years, Pauline (Sandy) Baldwin; two sons, Laird (Belinda) Baldwin and Dallas (Barbara) Baldwin; four grandchildren, Matthew, Angela, Andrew and Jennifer; four great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Caleb, Ethan and Abigail; three sisters, Claudine Dunaway, Joanna Stults and Freda Scurlock; two brothers, Paul and David Baldwin; and a host of other family members and good friends.
Mr. Baldwin was preceded in death by parents, Rufus and Bessie Baldwin; and three brothers, Alfonso, Rupert and Shirley Baldwin.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Richard Springer officiating.
KENNETH BLAIR
Kenneth Blair, age 81, of Spring City, TN formerly of Jamestown, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Blair was born February 24, 1930. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Blair is survived by wife, Helen Blair of Spring City; two sons, Lyle Blair and wife Maxine and Sam Blair and wife Tammy both of Jamestown; three daughters, Sherry Garren of Knoxville, Janet Rosso and husband Joe of Lake Worth, FL and Marilyn Morrison and husband Tim of Chattanooga; brother, Ralph Eugene Blair of Alabama; two sisters, Annetta Crockett and husband Ralph and Jewell Dean Ball both of Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.
Mr. Blair was preceded in death by parents, Hubert and Carrie Choate Blair.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Sammie Dunford officiating. Burial followed in the Allardt cemetery. Active pallbearers included Michael Blair, Matt Garren, Joseph Rosso III, Andrew Morrison, Kevin Widener, Adam Simpson, Nick Garren and Pete Miller. Honorary pallbearers included Jimmy Peavyhouse, Frank D. Smith, Johnny Chambers, Fred Stout and Wallace Hull.

RUBY MANIS
Ruby Manis, age 90, of Jamestown, passed away Monday, November 21, 2011 at Signature HealthCARE of Fentress County.
Mrs. Manis was born June 8, 1921 in Fentress County, Tennessee. She was a factory worker.
Mrs. Manis is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Turner and Loretta Pennycuff and husband Mike both of Jamestown; three sons, Jackie Hugh Manis of Byrdstown, David Manis and wife Linda and Jerry Manis and wife Faye both of Jamestown; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one step great-grandson; and other family and friends.
Mrs. Manis was preceded in death by husband, Fred Manis; son, Willis (Bill) Manis; father, Troy Pritchett; mother, Lizzie (Manis) Pritchett; daughter-in-law, Marsha Manis; sister, Edith (Pritchett) Cook; two half-brothers, Charles and Kirby Pritchett; and aunt, Edna Brown.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Chester Rhoad officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview cemetery. Active pallbearers included Randy Manis, Jackie Manis, Jeremy Miller, Mike Pennycuff, Rodney Rogers and Paul Parks. Brian Pennycuff served as honorary pallbearer.

James Walter Price, age 81, of Clarksville, TN formerly of Pickett County, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Price was born July 11, 1930 in Pickett Co., Tennessee. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Mr. Price is survived by wife, Edith Irene (Barnes) Price of Clarksville; daughter, Charolette Price Austin and husband Willie 'Raz' of Nashville; one grandson; four sisters, Roselle Smith, Shirley Durham, Doris Gooding all of Jamestown and Vina Reagan of Muncie, IN; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Mr. Price was preceded in death by father, Thomas Jefferson Price; mother, Arva Jane (Manis) Price; three brothers, J.C. Price, Granville Price and Earnest Price; and two sisters, Bessie Smith and Dessie Smith.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Smith and Bro. Tommy Smith officiating. Military service was provided by Jamestown American Legion Post 137. Burial followed in the Price cemetery. Pallbearers included James Austin, Rick Cravens, Mike Price, Donald Smith, Taylor Gooding and Terry Gooding.

Ella Goney, age 79, of Grimsley, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Ms. Goney was born February 6, 1932 in Grimsley, Tennessee. She was a care giver.
Ms. Goney is survived by sister, Susie Goney of Grimsley; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family.
Ms. Goney was preceded in death by father, John Goney; mother, Belle (Stephens) Goney; five sisters, Velva Wright, Ova Goney, Maggie Linder, Minnie Yates and Stella Adkins; and three brothers, Carson, Walter and Dayton Goney.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 26, 2011 at 11:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Edwards officiating. Burial followed in the Goney cemetery. Active pallbearers included Hershel Yates, David Yates, Rick Massingale, James Lonnie Taylor, Casey Jones, Brad Yates, Rodney Jones and Nicholas Goney. Ruth Ledbetter, age 71, of Jamestown, passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 at Signature HealthCARE of Fentress County.
Mrs. Ledbetter was born June 4, 1940.
Mrs. Ledbetter is survived by husband, Byron Ledbetter of Jamestown; daughter, Theresa Whited Stockton of Jamestown; two step-children, Michelle Steakley and husband James of Jamestown and Byron Ledbetter Jr. and wife Cheyenne of Cookeville; brother and sisters-in-law, Betty Peavyhouse and husband Jerry, Dean Copley, Linda Jones, Cathern Delk, Zula Delk, Jack Ledbetter and wife Bonnie all of Jamestown, Glenda Delk Hull of Crossville and Georgia Ledbetter and Joe Ledbetter of Muncie, IN; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and aunt, Ann Harding of Jamestown.
Mrs. Ledbetter was preceded in death by parents, Ovid and Pairzettia Greer Delk; three children, James Randall Whited, Allen Keith Whited and Tammy Rene Whited; three brothers, Jerry, Ruble and George Delk; and sister Mary Jane Whittenburg and husband Bob Earl Looper.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 26, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Cooper and Bro. Tommy Duncan officiating. Burial followed on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Hinds cemetery. Pallbearers included Ralph Bowden, Lee Turpin, John Choate, Gary Harding, Toby Stockton, Bill Storie, Danny Harding, Chris Wright and Wayne Copley.

CHARLES ELBERT SHELTON
Charles Elbert Shelton, age 62, of Crossville, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at Cumberland Medical Center.
Mr. Shelton was born September 2, 1949 in Overton County, Tennessee. He was a carpenter.
Mr. Shelton is survived by three children; six grandchildren; and two sisters, Rosie Hyatt and Jeannie Floyd both of Crossville.
Mr. Shelton was preceded in death by father, Melvin Shelton; mother, Clarice (Walker) Shelton; four brothers, Junior, Wilbert, Thelbert and Don Shelton; and two sisters, Mary Johnson and Gertie Braddam.
Graveside services were held Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the Roanoke cemetery with Bro. Dale Cox officiating.

SARAH SMITH
Sarah Smith, age 66, of Clarkrange, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2011 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Smith was born November 4, 1945.
Mrs. Smith is survived by two daughters, Sandy Evans and husband Danny and Sherry Smith; grandson, Wesley Smith; and four sisters, Betty York, Bessie Daniels, Lizzy Hill and husband Earl and Brenda Strunk.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Mae Strunk; son, Randy Smith; grandson, Calvin Smith; and five brothers, Bobby Ray, Jessie, Joe, Gerald and Robert David Strunk.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Price cemetery with Bro. Leonard Brown officiating. Family and friends served as pallbearers.
