GEORGIA YOUNG
Georgia Young, age 80, of Grimsley, passed away Friday, December 23, 2011 at Signature HealthCARE of Fentress County.
Mrs. Young was born January 2, 1931 in Fentress County, Tennessee. She was a factory worker.
Mrs. Young is survived by seven grandchildren, Daniel Young, Jimmy Young, Josh Young, Jamison Young, Traci Strunk, Nekedra Terry and Taleesha Ipock; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Paul Delk, Eugene Delk and Homer Delk; and five sisters, Anna Collins, Alma Stephens, Margaret Horn, Glenda Harding and Martha King.
Mrs. Young was preceded in death by husband, Osbert Young; two sons, Jimmy Young and Jackie Young; daughter, Mary Ann Ipock; father, Virgil Delk; mother, Leonia (Matthews) Delk; and two brothers, James and Jessie Delk.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Springs Chapel Methodist Church with Bro. Jim Gruber and Bro. Sammie Dunford officiating. Burial followed in the Springs Chapel cemetery. Pallbearers included Jamison Young, Jimmy Young, Daniel Young, Brent Buck, Brandon Delk and Josh Young.
Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

NORMAN N. BROWN
Norman N. Brown, age 83, of Sunbright, Tennessee passed away peacefully at his home Saturday, January 14, 2012 surrounded by family and friends.
Mr. Brown was a member of Faith in Grace Baptist Church in Burrville. He loved serving the Lord and sharing his testimony with others. He served his country as a member of the 5th Regimental Combat Team in Korea.
Mr. Brown is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Sarah (Beaty) Brown; two sons, Wade and Carolyn (Bolling) Brown of Chatsworth, GA and Dale and Monica (Phillips) Brown of Ft. Wayne, IN; three grandchildren, Juanita Champion and husband David of Crandall, GA, Tasha Brown of Sunbright and Justin Brown of Ft Wayne, IN; one great-grandson, Mason Champion of Crandall, GA; two brothers, Jack Brown of Jamestown, P.E. (Ellard) Brown and wife Eunice of Sunbright; two sisters, Lois Bush of Lenior, NC and Elizabeth Keller and husband Larry of Crossville, TN; lifelong neighbor and friend, Oscar England; and a host of nieces, nephews and many, many friends.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Delphia Brown; two brothers, Roy and Colonel; and four sisters, Wava Brown, Lena Williams, Lefa Young and Loma Harvey.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith in Grace Baptist Church in the Burrville Community with Bro. Oscar England, Bro. Wayne Cromwell and Bro. Curtis Terry officiating. Burial followed in the Union Grove cemetery in Sunbright, TN
Schubert Funeral Home of Sunbright, Tennessee was in charge of arrangements.

NICKI (NATASHA) GATES
Nicki (Natasha) Gates, age 26, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Ms. Gates was born July 9, 1985 in Grayling, Michigan. She was a housewife.
Ms. Gates is survived by mother, Kelly (Anteau) Gates of Jamestown; son, Brett McCann of Jamestown; fiance, Jeremy McCann of Jamestown; three sisters, Spring Wiedman and husband Charlie of Clarkrange, Doneal Clark and husband Kirk of Allardt and Heather Johns and husband Chris of Michigan; seven nieces and nephews.
Ms. Gates was preceded in death by son, Landen Parker Mathenson.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Jamestown Church of the Nazarene with Bro. Todd Craig officiating.
Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

ABRAHAM PIERCY
Abraham Piercy, age 79, passed away Wednesday night, January 11, 2012 at The Woodlands with his family by his side.
Mr. Piercy was born December 4, 1932 in Jamestown, TN. He had worked thirty-four years at Marhoefer Meat Packing then worked for Peercy Construction where he retired in 1996. He served honorably in the United States Army. Abraham was a member of Bethel United Baptist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing with family and friends.
Mr. Piercy is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Marilyn; son, Ronald Piercy and wife Anita Sue; three grandchildren, Jama Mason, Jennifer Roberson and husband J.D., and Michelle Brower, and husband Darrell; six great-grandchildren, Taylor Mason, Courtney Piercy Roberson, Kalan Piercy Roberson, Jaden Brower, Jadrian Roberson, and Zoe Brower; two brothers, Dean Peercy and wife Betty of Muncie and Homer Peercy of Brydstown, TN; two sisters, Sheila Pecor and husband George and Barbara Gibson and husband Jimmy both of Jamestown; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Piercy was preceded in death by his parents, Artha (Reagan) and Wade Peercy; eight brothers and sisters, Otis Piercy, William Piercy, Arnold Pearcy, Jewell Peercy, Frances Peercy, Shirley Peercy, Wanda Peercy, and Iva Peercy.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Elm Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Hoyt Davis officiating. Burial followed in the Elm Ridge Memorial Park cemetery.
Military rites were preformed by Delaware Count Honor Guard.
Elm Ridge Funeral Home of Muncie, Indiana was in charge of services.

RONNIE SELLS
Ronnie Sells, age 54, of Pall Mall, passed away Friday, January 13, 2012 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Sells was born August 3, 1957.
Mr. Sells is survived by wife, Tammy Sells of Pall Mall; three sons, Ryan Sells and wife Tasha of Thetford, England, Boone Sells of Cookeville and Josh Carroll of Nashville; grandson, Tanner Carroll of Pall Mall; brother, Ray Sells of Nashville; sister, Debbie Sells Green of Pall Mall; sisters-in-law, Jennifer and Dan McKenny of IN and Pam and Jim Gillium of Somerset, KY; aunts, Jean and Ruby Sells and Peggy Slaven; and uncle, Joe Sells.
Mr. Sells was preceded in death by parents, Cooper and Dorothy Slaven Sells; and grandson, Trevor Carroll.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Red Hill Church of Christ with Bro. Bruce Mullinix officiating. Burial followed in the Davidson cemetery. Active pallbearers included Boone Sells, Ryan Sells, Paul Wright, Jack Sells, Ray Sells, Grey Sells and Ronnie Delk. Honorary pallbearers included Joe Sells, Dock Sells, Doug McGee, Dewayne Tyree, David Sells, Pete Cravens, Tim Evans and Danny Smith.
Mundy Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

LOLA MAE (HICKS) WAKEFIELD
Lola Mae (Hicks) Wakefield, age 80, of Clarkrange, passed away Monday, January 9, 2012 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Wakefield was born June 30, 1931 in Fentress County, Tennessee. She was a factory worker.
Mrs. Wakefield is survived by sister, Louisa McCaleb of Lebanon, TN; special friends, J.D. Stowers, Evelyn Miller and Marilyn Patton; and several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Mrs. Wakefield was preceded in death by father, Wilburn Hicks; mother, Ida (Goney) Hicks; and five brothers, Frank, Wayne, Truman, Johnny and Barney Hicks.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. in the Clarkrange Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Payne officiating. Burial followed in the Springs Chapel cemetery. Pallbearers included Tony York, Robert Sherrill, Roger McCaleb, David Sherrill, David Maxwell and J.D. Stowers.
Jennings Funeral Home of Clarkrange, Tennessee was in charge of services.

WALLA MAE WOLF
Walla Mae Wolf, age 91 of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2011 at Signature HealthCARE of Fentress County in Jamestown, TN.
Mrs. Wolf was born May 19, 1920 in Ludville, GA. Walla grew up on a farm and later worked at a cotton mill in Dalton, GA. She moved to Detroit, MI in 1950 and worked in a plant and at H & N Hamburgers. She moved back to Dalton, GA in 1976 and worked at the Needle Craft plant. She moved to Tennessee with her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon & Hubert Sexton in 2001. Walla went to live at the nursing home in Jamestown about 4 years ago suffering with Alzheimers.
In earlier years, Walla liked to bake, cook, & garden. She was baptized into Christ in 1950 in Dalton, GA and was a member of the Church of Christ for 61 years. She was a dedicated Christian and was always willing to speak up for Christ, the Bible, and the church.
Mrs. Wolf is survived by daughter, Sharon Elizabeth Sexton of Elgin; granddaughter, Rita Kay Vali & husband, Mickilos of Newton, KS; great-grandsons: Logan Foster and wife Kim, of Ringgold, GA, Cody Vali, Lucus Vali & Nickilos Vali of Newton, KS; great-great-grandson, Hayden Foster of Ringgold, GA; and brother: Fred Stone of Dalton, GA.
Mrs. Wolf was preceded in death by an infant son, Kenneth Linwood Qualls; parents, David Cecil Stone & Mary Anna Elizabeth (Swafford) Stone; two brothers, Kermit Autril Stone and Randolf Stone; three sisters, Ruby Monteen Paterson, Jewel Angeline Glisson, and Evelyn Amy Medlin; and son-in-law, Hubert Glenn Sexton.
Memorial services were held Monday, January 2, 2012 at the Elgin Church of Christ with Bro. Stan Day officiating.

MICHELLE (BOYER) DELK
Michelle (Boyer) Delk, age 42, of Portland, TN formerly of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Summit Medical Center.
Mrs. Delk was born March 27, 1969 in Jamestown, Tennessee.
Mrs. Delk is survived by daughter, Allie Evans of Portland, TN; son, Reece Evans of Portland, TN; brother, Mike Boyer of Westmoreland, TN; and several other family and friends.
Mrs. Delk was preceded in death by father, Mike Boyer; mother, Anne (Pennycuff) Boyer; and sister, Sandy Boyer.
Graveside services were held Friday, February 10, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at Wilson cemetery with Bro. Ray Cooper officiating.

HEWEL BROWN
Hewel Brown, age 81, of Pall Mall, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Livingston Regional Hospital.
Mr. Brown was born September 10, 1930 in New Castle, Indiana. He was a retired Pickett Co. School Teacher and farmer. He attended Smyrna Church. He was a member of Little Crab Masonic Lodge #614, a Shriner, veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the Army and was a licensed funeral director and past Co-Director of the Pickett Co. Ambulance Service.
Mr. Brown is survived by wife, Myrtle (Beaty) Brown of Pall Mall; daughter, Vanessa Gray and husband Bill of Albany, KY; son, Gregory Brown and wife Laura of Pall Mall; sister, Hazel Beaty of Jamestown; brother, Hack Brown of Jamestown; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by parents, Cashier and Edna Brown; infant sister, Helen Brown; and brother, Harold Brown.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro. Ricky Cross, Bro. Randy Tompkins and sister, Joy Langford officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview cemetery. Active pallbearers included Eric, Anthony, Brian and Trevor Brown, Steven Gray, Donald Woody and Joseph Warden. Honorary pallbearers included Amanda Woody, Sara Gray and McKenzie Brown.
Brown Funeral Chapel of Byrdstown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

GEORGIA EVANS
Georgia Evans, age 78, of Jamestown, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Evans was born January 8, 1934.
Mrs. Evans is survived by two sons, Jimmy Evans and special friend Karen of Jamestown and Kenny Evans and wife Connie of Pall Mall; two daughters, Wayne Sue Hatfield and Wanda Moon both of Jamestown; eleven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and special friend, Christina West.
Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by husband, Samuel Peanut Evans; son, Sam Evans, Jr.; and parents, Ezra and Mattie Walker Manis.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. John Cotton officiating. Burial followed in the Upchurch cemetery. Pallbearers included Bucky Jones, Ronnie Evans, Samuel Evans, Michael Parrigin, Matthew Evans and Dillon South.
Mundy Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.
