KENNETH AVON MYERS
Kenneth Avon Myers, age 83, of Harrogate, TN, formerly of Elgin, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Myers was born September 28, 1928 in Scott County, Tennessee.
Mr. Myers is survived by wife, Virginia; two sons, Kenneth Myers, Jr. and Avon Myers; daughter, Beulah Sexton; step-daughter, Sonya Daniels; step-son, Larry Boles; three brothers, Sam Myers, James, Walter and Leon; three sisters, Mary, Martha and Linda; and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Mr. Myers was preceded in death by parents, Walter and Delta Frogge Myers; two brothers, Luther and Albert Myers; first wife, Arlenne; and second wife, Lottie.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at McCartt cemetery in Elgin with Bro. Murphy Daniels officiating.
West-Murley Funeral Home of Oneida, Tennessee was in charge of services.

GAIL FLOWERS
Gail Flowers, age 61, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Flowers was born October 13, 1950 in Jamestown, Tennessee. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Flowers is survived by husband, Branford Flowers of Jamestown; two sons, Todd Hart and wife Beth and Ty Hart both of IN; daughter, Tamara Double and husband Travis of IN; two step-children, Cindy Greer and Liton Flowers both of Jamestown; one granddaughter; two step-grandchildren; and three sisters, Lenora Roloff of Peoria, IL, Martha Yates and husband Hershel of Allardt and Faye Hart and husband Bernie of Monroeville, IN.
Mrs. Flowers was preceded in death by father, Elmer C. Wilmoth; mother, Oval (Jones) Wilmoth; and two sisters, Milla Ann Lance and Ruth Jane Fleming.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Chester Rhoad officiating. Burial followed in the Taylor Place cemetery. Pallbearers included Michael Fleming, Chester Jones, David Jones, Robert Jones, Jerry Jones, Bennett Jones, Rodney Jones and Casey Jones.
Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

WILDA ZELL BOWDEN GERNT
Wilda Zell Bowden Gernt, age 75, of Albany, KY formerly of Fentress County, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2012.
Mrs. Gernt was born November 6, 1936 in Manson, Tennessee. She was involved in many community activities, was a successful realtor and served on board for the town of Rugby, TN, she resided in Jamestown, Tn. until 1969 then moved to Orlando, Florida. She traveled the world extensively with her husband Richard and children living in Shiraz, Iran; Rabat Morocco and Baltimore, Maryland. She returned to Jamestown in 1997 to care for her mother then moved to Albany, KY later that year, where she became a member of Clear Fork Baptist Church.
Mrs. Gernt is survived by husband of 42 years Richard Gernt; children, Robbey Copley, Deborah Copley Gibson, Lisa Sheriff and Bruce Gernt; grandchildren, Robert Copley, Lynn Maloley, Stephen Stanhope, Tahmara Gernt, Morghan Gernt, Nikki Carpenito, Dylan Sheriff and J.R.(Michael) Sheriff; great-grandchildren, Autumn Lynn Maloley and Jaxon Slater; and a host of other relatives and many- many friends.
Mrs. Gernt was preceded in death by parents, Raymond Bowden and Delia Linder Bowden; daughter, Wanda Bobette Copley; two brothers, Ward and Erchel Bowden; and sister, Wanda Conway.
Memorial services were held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Clear Fork Baptist Church with Pastor Bob Sawyer officiating.
Campbell-New Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky was in charge of services.

JIMMIE NELL GOODING
Jimmie Nell Gooding, age 70, of Allardt, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Gooding was born December 29, 1941.
Mrs. Gooding is survived by son, Darrell Gooding of Knoxville; four brothers, Steve Garrett, Paul Garrett and wife Linda, Dan Garrett and wife Carolyn and Clay Garrett and wife Vicky all of Harford City, IN; and three sisters, Judy Shields and Lois Reeves and husband Floyd both of Florida and Joyce West and husband Robert of Hartford City, IN.
Mrs. Gooding was preceded in death by husband, Claude Gooding; parents, James and Bertha Mullinix Upchurch; and step-father, Willie R. Garrett.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bishop Bruch York officiating. Burial followed in the Taylor Place cemetery. Pallbearers included Chad Garrett, Clay Garrett, Bob West, Robbie Garrett, Tony Beaty and Bishop Bruce York.
Mundy Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

GLENN M. HEMBREE
Glenn M. Hembree, age 74, of Jamestown, passed away Monday, June 4, 2012 at U.T. Medical Center.
Mr. Hembree was born July 16, 1937 in Wheat, Tennessee. He was a tool and die machinist.
Mr. Hembree is survived by wife, Evelene (Stephens) Hembree of Jamestown; two sisters, Wanda Louise Carmack and husband Barlow of Stafford, VA and Nancy Lucille Evans of Lancing; brother, Bobby Gene Hembree and wife Sheila Kay of Wartburg, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Mr. Hembree was preceded in death by father, John Harris Hembree, Sr.; mother, Maude Marie (Flippo) Hembree; three brothers, John Harris Hembree, Jr., Billy Eugene Hembree and Joseph Franklin Hembree; and four sisters, Cathleen Pauline Howard, Helen Delores Hembree; Mildred Francis Ellis and Margaret Marie Mabe.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 8, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Doran Nance and Bro. Leonard Brown officiating. Burial followed in the Allardt cemetery. Pallbearers included Timmy Hembree, Bobby Hembree, Johnathan Stephens, Donnie Moore, David Ritter and Chad Brown.
Jennings Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

ISAAC 'IKE' KING
Isaac 'Ike' King, age 86, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Mr. King was born June 15, 1925 in Sterns, Kentucky. He was a logger.
Mr. King is survived by four daughters, Sharon Poore and husband Oliver, JoAnn Creselious and husband Truman, Glenda Harding and Tammy Alley and husband Terry; four sons, Gary King, Ronnie King, Ricky King and Eddie King and wife Ruth; two step-daughters, Bonnie Wright and Betty Little; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of step-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other family and friends.
Mr. King was preceded in death by wife, Edith King; father, Andrew 'Andy' King; mother, Helen (Blevins) King; daughter, Kathrine King; and step-son, Billy Atkinson.
Funeral services were held Sunday, June 10, 2012 in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Creselious and Bro. Jonathan Beaty officiating. Burial followed in Spring Chapel cemetery. Active pallbearers included James Poore, Trent King, Eddie King, Terry Alley, Anthony Creselious, Jonathan Beaty, Ricky King and Zach Alley. Honorary pallbearers included Clay Beaty, Louie Beaty, Gene Beaty and Charles Beaty.

TROY LEDBETTER
Troy Ledbetter, age 46, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Ledbetter was born May 23, 1966.
Mr. Ledbetter is survived by parents, Danny and Bessie Bowden of Jamestown; companion, Lora Branstetter of Jamestown; son, Jagar Ledbetter of Jamestown; two daughters, Ashley Ledbetter of Cookeville and Samantha Richards of Jamestown; granddaughter, Joyce Lynn Richards; and sister, Karen Bowden of Jamestown.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Butch Dodson officiating. Burial followed in the Sharp Place cemetery. Pallbearers included Elmer Ledbetter, Jesse Stephens, Joey Price, Brian Huff, Brandon Huff, Curtis Delk, Glenn Lowe, Darrell Duncan and Stacy Ledbetter.
Mundy Funeral Home of Jamestown, Tennessee was in charge of services.

HELEN LOIS LENZ
Helen Lois Lenz, age 64, of Maryville formerly of Clarkrange, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Lenz was born January 3, 1948 in Cumberland County, Tennessee. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Lenz is survived by husband, Michael Lenz; two sons, Scott Lenz and wife Christy and Mikey Lenz both of Crossville; two daughters, Tina Nelson and husband Bobby of Maryville and Jennifer Jones of Crossville; five sisters, Jane Lehmann, Pat Raleigh and husband Larry both of Crossville, Tootsie Stephens and Martha George both of Indiana and Peggy Sear and husband Doyle of White Pine, TN; two brothers, Jesse Stephens and wife Vera and Johnny Stephens and wife Tina both of Indiana; special aunt, Shirley Keys of Chattanooga; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Mrs. Lenz was preceded in death by father, John Stephens; mother, Mittie (Smith) Stephens; and husband, Jimmy Hopkins.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clarkrange Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Ralph Reagan officiating. Burial followed in the Pete Atkins cemetery. Pallbearers included Michael Hopkins, Cody Stafford, Scottie Lenz, John Stephens, Canaan Bowman, Grady Godsey, Johnny Stephens and Jesse Stephens.

MADELINE BEATY WALLS
Madeline Beaty Walls, age 61, of Knoxville formerly of Jamestown, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Park West Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.
Mrs. Walls was born January 13, 1951.
Mrs. Walls is survived by son, Terry Robbins and wife Karen of Crossville; daughter, Lynna Bowman and husband Clint of Knoxville; six grandchildren; six brothers, Winton Beaty and wife Freeda of Kingston, Benton Beaty and wife Janie of Allardt, Danny Reece Beaty and wife Mary, Denton Beaty and wife Doris and Mike Beaty and wife Peggy all of the Armathwaite Community and Teddy Beaty and wife Linda of Jamestown; sister-in-law, Jannie Beaty of Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Wall was preceded in death by son, Eric Dale Walls; parents Esco and Opal Beaty; and brother, Donnie Beaty.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Mundy Funeral Home with Bro. Sammie Dunford officiating. Burial followed in the Range cemetery. Pallbearers included Winton Beaty, Benton Beaty, Danny Reece Beaty, Denton Beaty, Mike Beaty and Teddy Beaty.

THELMA LEE HURT
Thelma Lee Hurt, age 78, of Muncie, Indiana formerly of Fentress County, passed away Friday, July 27, 2012 at her home.
Mrs. Hurt was born July 28, 1933 in Fentress County, Tennessee. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Hurt is survived by two sons, William L. Hinds and wife Shawn and Kim R. Hinds and wife Marcia; daughter, Lisa G. Tharp and husband Phillip; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Maggie Moon, Neva Moon, Lillian Hicks and husband Willie Dee and Nell Brown and husband Hack; two brothers, James Clayborn and wife Betty and Ernest Clayborn and wife Marilyn; sister-in-law, Frona Clayborn; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family.
Mrs. Hurt was preceded in death by husband, William Oliver Hinds; father, Rose Clayborn; mother, Veary Bell (Pennycuff) Clayborn; son-in-law, Shelly Moon; and two brothers, Sammy Clayborn and Oz Clayborn; and brother-in-law, Drannan Moon.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Jenkins officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview cemetery. Active pallbearers included Wheeler Clayborn, Lucas Clayborn, Kim Hinds, William Hinds, Greg Clayborn and Jeff Clayborn. Honorary pallbearers included James Clayborn and Ernest Clayborn.
