BAXTER -- Funeral services for Ralph Manier, 75, of Lima, Ohio, were held today, Friday, Sept. 5, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home.
Burial was in Robinson Ridge cemetery.
Mr. Manier died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at his residence.
He was born July 31, 1933, in Putnam County to the late George and Dora Brown Manier.
Mr. Manier was a construction worker.
His family includes a sister, A.V. Pully of Baxter; his companion and dear friend, Connie Workman; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Manier was preceded in death by five brothers, Howard, Willie, Clarence, Ernest and Lloyd Manier; and two sisters, Amanda Brewington and Verda Lewis.
Pallbearers will be Wayne, Bruce and Billy Lewis and James, Felix and Jerry Manier.
Bro. Steve Warren officiated the services.
Mildred Mary Meeks
DOYLE -- Funeral services for Mildred Mary Meeks, 91, will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, at 2 p.m. at Doyle Nazarene Church.
Family will receive friends today, Sept. 5, from 6-9 p.m. at the church.
Mrs. Meeks died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at Life Care Center of Sparta.

Mr. Meyer died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 4, 1960, in Indianapolis, Ind., to the late Warren and Barbara Byrd Meyer.
Mr. Meyer was a carpenter.
His family includes two brothers, Greg Meyer of Clarkston, Mich., and Tony Meyer of Dearborne, Mich.

COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Donita Faye Schmidt, 67, of Gonzales, La., formerly of Cookeville, will be held Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m. from the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends Monday, Sept. 8, from 5-8 p.m. and Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 9 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
Ms. Schmidt died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008, at her residence.

Nettie Katherine Allison
BAXTER -- Funeral services for Nettie Katherine Allison, 101, of Silver Point, will be held Sunday, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m. from the Baxter chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Smellage cemetery in the Boma Community.
Family will receive friends Saturday, Sept. 6, from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
Mrs. Allison died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008, at NHC in Smithville.
She was born Oct. 12, 1906, in Putnam County to the late Willie Benjamin and Betty Shanks Prichard.
Mrs. Allison was a homemaker and member of New Home Baptist Church at Boma.
Her family includes two daughters, Euda Kate Shanks of Silver Point and Rebecca Burgess of Battle Creek, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Barbara Allison Lowe, Myra Case and husband Larry, Mackie Shanks and wife Lori, Tina Simmons and husband Danny, Michelle Ayers and husband Jeff, Marty Burgess and Michael Burgess and wife Darlene; and 17 great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jordan and Jared Case, Allyson and Tyler Shanks, Megan, Mitchell and Mason Simmons, Craig Lowe, Josh, Nicholas, Alex and Rachel Ayers and Joseph, Seth, Bethany and Rebecca Burgess.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allison was preceded in death by her husband, Julius Allison; a son, Carson Allison; two sons-in-law, Mack Shanks and Johnny Burgess; a great-grandson, Chris Lowe; a sister, Ollie Brown; and four brothers, Schuyler, Bethel, Ralph and Everett Prichard.
Pallbearers will be Mrs. Allison's grandsons and great-grandsons.
Bros. Joel N. Moss and Fred Hawkins will officiate the services.

Robert Jay Spain
LINDEN -- Funeral services for Robert Jay Spain, 32, of Hohenwald, were held Thursday, July 17, at McDonald Funeral Home in Linden (931)589-2141.
Burial was in Spain cemetery on Brush Creek.
Mr. Spain was born Nov. 30, 1975, to Patricia Havlat of Cookeville, and the late Richard Wayne Spain.
He was well known for his great personality and smile. Professionally, he worked construction, with a love for the blacksmith trade on the side. He was ordained in 2002 as a Baptist minister. He was loved by many friends and family.
In addition to his mother, his family includes his stepfather, James Havlat of Cookeville; five sisters and four brothers-in-law, Jeanna Spain and Ira Bradley of Hohenwald, Christian and Brian Midgett of Mt. Juliet, Jessica and Marc Robinson, Lynzee Carpenter, all of Cookeville, and Lisa and Johnny Thompson of Castalian Springs; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeremy and Alisha Martin of Portland; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.

Ora Kathryn Cunningham Clark
SPARTA -- Funeral services for Ora Kathryn Cunningham Clark, 78, of Sparta, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, from the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cunningham cemetery.

Ms. Clark died Thursday, July 17, 2008, in NHC of Cool Springs in Franklin.
James Nelson Jones
COOKEVILLE -- A Funeral Mass for James Nelson Jones, 43, of Cookeville, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be in Algood City cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today, Friday, July 18; and after 10 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home.
Mr. Jones died Tuesday, July 15, 2008, in Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 19, 1964, in Jonesboro, Ark. to Charles M. and Bonnie J. Howard Jones of Cookeville.
In addition to his parents, his family includes his wife, Julia Jones of Cookeville; two sons, Eric and Neil Jones, both of Cookeville; a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and April Jones of Clinton; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Bonnie Jo-an and Guy Bitner of Illinois, and Linda Jones of Cookeville; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alois and Regina Halfmann Zientek of Brenham, Texas; three brothers-in-law, Oscar Zientek, Patrick Zientek and wife Sandra, and Robert Zientek and wife Linda, all of Brenham; two sisters-in-law, Cecilia Schramm and husband Merrill of New Ulm, Texas, and Maxine Parker of Brenham; numerous nieces and nephews; and the Ronnie Martin family of Cookeville.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Jones.
