Teresa Lynne Light
Germany- Teresa Lynne Light, 51, formerly of Kingsport passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning (April 11, 2008) in Attendorn, Germany.
She was born in Warner Robbins, Georgia and had lived the majority of her life in Kingsport until moving to Germany in 2003. Teresa was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School in 1975. She worked for the City of Kingsport from 1987 to 2003. She was a talented artist.
Mrs. Light is preceded in death by her mother, Betty Light and her sisters, Judith Smith & Vanessa Webb.
Teresa Light is survived by her husband, Dr. Nils Hoffmann; her daughter, Cara Webster & her husband, Barry; a brother, Steve Light.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday (May 3, 2008) at 2 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport with Ed Clevenger, minister officiating.
A visitation will follow the service.
A private graveside service will be conducted at Liberty Hill cemetery in Mount Carmel.

Mary Ruth Hyder
Daytona Beach - Mary Ruth "Oochie" (Stafford) Hyder, 88, Daytona Beach, Fl. passed away quietly Sunday April 20, 2008.
Mrs. Hyder moved to the Daytona Beach area from her native Tennessee in 1961.
She is survived by sons, Ronald (Sandra) Waynesville, NC and Patrick Daytona Beach; daughter, Rita (Armand) Houston, TX; eight grandchildren, Heather, James, Vanessa and Jason Hyder Daytona Beach, Robyn Hyder Tennessee, Rachel and Eric Page Daytona Beach, and Tina Umbarger Texas; 5 great-grandchildren; one sister, Reva Gamble; and three brothers, Gaines, Charles and Albert Stafford; and dozens of nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Lelia Stafford; three sisters, Annie Mayo, Ellen Dale, Elizabeth Tate; and two brothers, Daniel and Carlos Stafford.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 26 at the Surgoinsville Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Phil Gass officiating. Friends and family planning to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m.

Joyce Sharon Parsons King
Joyce Sharon King, 55 of Gray, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday (April 22, 2008) at Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness.
Born in Kingsport, Joyce had lived here most of her life. She was of the Baptist faith, and loved by everyone who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie parsons Hanie; and brother, John Hanie.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Russell King, Gray, TN; two sons, Keith Woodard and wife, Michelle, Blountville, Stephen Woodard, Gray; two step-daughters, Judy King, Christina Burlew and husband, Jim, both of New Jersey; step-son, Russell D. King and wife Tammy, New Jersey; grandson, Chase Woodard; brother, Leroy Hanie and wife Sherry, Hiltons, VA; sister-in-law, Teresa Hanie; special uncle, Gary Parsons and wife Jennifer; nieces, Jacqueline Bailey, and Amber Hanie; nephews, Justin Moffitt, and Christopher Hanie.
Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday (April 24, 2008) at East Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Victor Wallace officiating.

Clifton "Bill" Doran
Kingsport - Clifton E. "Bill" Doran, 77 of Kingsport, passed away Friday, April 18, 2008, at Brookhaven Health Care. Born in Scott County, Virginia (East Carters Valley), he had lived there most of his life.
He was a retired general contractor, having worked for Lyman Hicks Construction, with over 30 years service. His hobbies were horses, hunting and coon hunting. He was a member of Hermon United Methodist Church.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy McDavid Doran; parents, Henry Minga Doran and Ellen Gardner Doran; sister, Lucille Scalf; brother, Amos Doran; half-brother, Joe Hensley.
He is survived by his daughters, Pamela Marlene, Rhonda Faye and Donna Kay; sisters, Ruth Edwards and husband J. D., Blountville, Alice Doran, Kingsport and Kathleen Hartsock, Pennsylvania; special niece, Louise Depew; several other nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 4-6 PM on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at Carter-Trent Funeral Home, Kingsport.
A funeral service will follow at 6 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kyle Falin officiating.
Gravesides services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Monday at Hermon United Methodist Church cemetery, (East Carters Valley Road) Gate City, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Jack Childress, Doug Hurley, Gary McMurray, David Ketron, Conley Doran and Leland Doran. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Depew, Johnny Edwards and Bruce Austin. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:55 AM.

Michael D. Yallourakis, Kingsport, passed away on Thursday April 10, 2008 peacefully and quietly at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was truly one with the Lord at the time of his passing. He is survived by his wife, Maria Spelios Yallourakis, of the home; sons, Dr. Stephen and Dr. Anna Yallourakis, Kingsport, TN, Dimitri and Melina Yallourakis, Valpairso, IN, daughter, Mary-Ann Elliott, Cleveland, OH; grandchildren, Michael, Kali, Dean, Michael, Maria, Stephanie Katherine, and Michael; sister, Anna and Nikolaos Garofalides; brother, George and Sophia Yallourakis, Athens, Greece; sister-in-law, Eugenia Yallourakis, Athens, Greece; nieces and nephews, Fotini, Vasilios, Dimitri, Maria and Maria, all of Athens Greece.
Donations may be made in honor of his memory to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 150 Elizabeth Ann Circle, Bluff City, TN, 37618, (423-538-0701).

Shirley Fleming
Shirley Donihe Fleming, age 75, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord Wednesday (April 9, 2008) at her residence.
She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport, TN and was a graduate of Lynn View High School. She was a sales associate of Donihe Graphics for over 30 years. Mrs. Fleming was a member of Kingsport Community Church where she taught Sunday school for over 25 years, Youth Director, and member of the church choir. She was very active in her community.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Garnie and Eva (Hartgrove) Donihe; three brothers, Homer Donihe, Bobby Donihe, and Tommy Donihe; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gladys Damron and T.J. "Jack" Fleming.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Jack P. Fleming, of the home; daughter, Debbie McMillin and husband, Jeff, Bristol, TN; son, Jack P. Fleming, II and wife, Amy Brock, Kingsport; seven grandchildren, Sara Stocstill, Bart McMillin, Molly Fleming, Cassy Fleming, Taylor Shearin, Hannah Shearin, and Jessie Shearin; five sisters, Betty Lucas, Columbus, OH, Phyllis Cooper, Ashville, NC, Patricia Anderson, Kingsport, Linda McKee, Lawrenceville, GA, and Brenda Luster, Boone, NC; brother, Charles Donihe, Canton, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday (April 11, 2008) at Kingsport Community Church.
Funeral service will follow in the church at 7 p.m. with Rev. Ron. Lowe officiating. Music will be provided by Mark Staten.
Graveside service will be conducted 12 noon Saturday (April 12, 2008) at Oak Hill cemetery with Bart McMillin and her nephews serving as pallbearers.

HAZEL PAULINE CRADIC
Surgoinsville- Hazel Pauline Cradic, of Surgoinsville went to be with the Lord early Wednesday (March 14, 2007) at her home. She was a lifelong resident of Hawkins County. Mrs. Cradic was a faithful member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Surgoinsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cora & Delbert Marcum.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Wandell Cradic; her daughter, Karen Renee & husband, Philip Nowell (Surgoinsville); grandsons, Matthew G. Trent (Atlanta, GA), Ben P. Trent (Kingsport); a brother, James W. Marcum; sisters, Mildred Harrell, Mrs. Arthur (Oma) Johnson (all of Surgoinsville), constant Best Friend & sister, Mrs. Bobbie (Geneva) Webster (Mooresburg, TN) along with several nieces and nephews. A special thank-you goes out to Don, Kathy & Eric.
The family will receive friends on Thursday (March 15, 2007) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Carter-Trent Funeral Home of Church Hill.
A funeral service will follow the visitation on Thursday (March 15, 2007) at 7 p.m. with Pastor Jesse Hartgrove officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted on Friday (March 16, 2007) at 11 a.m. at Hawkins County Memorial Gardens with Philip Nowell, Bobbie Webster, Eric Webster, Matthew Trent, Don Coleman, Ben Trent & Kay Lee Cradic serving as pallbearers. Family and friends attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10 a.m. to go in procession.

Dortha Bradley
Dortha (Robbins) Bradley, 93, Church Hill, Tenn., went to be with the Lord Saturday (March 17, 2007) at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn. following a brief illness.
She was born in Morgan County, Tenn., a daughter of the late Mack H. Robbins and Martha (Knowles) Robbins, and moved to this area at a young age. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, loved by her family and friends. She loved gardening, flowers, singing gospel songs and loved music.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. Bradley; three infant children; two grandchildren, Janice Bernard and Johnny Bradley; two sisters, Mary A. Malone, Willie Mae Morrison; and two brothers, Samuel P. Robbins and Ray Robbins.
She is survived by her daughters, Phoebe Lawson Stidham and husband Richard, Blountville; Odell Anderson and husband Lawrence, Statesville, N.C., Mary C. Bernard, Rockford, Ill.; sons, Russell Bradley and wife Brenda, Rockford, Ill., R.O. Bradley, Rockford, Ill.; 15 grandchildren, Cheri M. Lawson, Larry L. Lawson, Terry Bradley, Angie Goodson, Dawn Beltram, Doug Bradley, Pam Hoke, Kim Feltham, Chris Stills, Joyce Hammond, Darryl Bernard, Becky Frizzell, Robby Bradley, Crissy Palmer, Elvis Bradley; 24 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Morrison, Rockford, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday (March 20, 2007) at Carter-Trent Funeral Home of Church Hill.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Garry Eads officiating.
Music will be provided by the Rock Heritage Singers.
Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (March 21, 2007) at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens in Blountville, Tenn. Friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Wednesday.
