Amy Michelle Everett, daughter of Iris Everett Mustapich of Loudon and the late Donald Ross Everett, is engaged to marry Dr. John Temple Phillips IV, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Temple Phillips III of Albany, Ga., 5:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church in Albany, Ga.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Peyton Basinger and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Benjamin Everett.
The bridegroom-to-be is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Temple Phillips Jr of Albany, Ga., Mary Davis Howe of Albany, Ga. and the late Ennis Foster Howe Jr.
The bride-to-be is a 19995 graduate of Maryville High School and a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in communications in 2000. She graduated Chattanooga State Technical Community College with an Associate's degree in nursing in 2003. She is employed by Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga as a registered nurse.
The bridegroom-to-be graduated from Deerfield Windsor School in 1992. He earned his Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Georgia in 1996. He earned his M.D. from Mercer University School of Medicine in 2000. He is employed as a hospitalist with University Hospitals at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga.
