The bride-to-be is a 1992 graduate of Morristown Hamblen High School West and a 1996 graduate of Carson-Newman College with a Bachelor of Science degree in family and consumer sciences. She is a recent graduate of the nursing program of Tennessee Technology Center of Morristown.
The bridegroom-to-be is a 1995 graduate of Alcoa High School, a 2000 graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in preteaching math and science, and a 2002 graduate with a master's degree in education. He is employed as a math teacher and coach at William Blount Middle School.
