Clarks married 50 years (2004-05-19)
Bobby and Janet Christine (Taylor) Clark of Louisville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, Mentor.
They request that gifts be omitted.
The couple were married May 22, 1954 in Maryville. The Rev. Horace Lillard officiated.
Their family includes children Lisa Pinkard of Maryville, Diana and Sammy Moody of Belton, S.C., and Jimmy and Kathy Clark of Powell. They have seven grandchildren, Clark, Jennifer and Jon David Pinkard, Sammy Jr., Cole and Laura Moody, and Elizabeth Clark.
Mr. Clark retired after 32 years with Xerox Corp. Mrs. Clark is retired from the Blount County Executive's Office at the courthouse.
Mr. Clark is superintendent of Sunday School and a choir member. Mrs. Clark is a Sunday school teacher and choir member.
Kagleys married 50 years (2004-06-09)
Clifford and Mildred Kagley of Maryville will celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. June 13 at Mountain View Church of Christ, Six Mile Road, Maryville.
They request no gifts.
The couple were married June 12, 1954 at the train depot in Greenback.
Their family includes sons and daughters-in-law Larry and Jill Kagley of Greenwood, S.C., and Roger and Vickey Kagley of Maryville. They have two grandsons, Dereck and Cade.
Mr. Kagley is retired from ALCOA Inc. Mrs. Kagley is a homemaker.
Franklins celebrate 50th anniversary (2004-06-09)
Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Franklin (Joyce McCammon) of Friendsville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Clover Hill Presbyterian Church, 809 Clover Hill Road, Maryville. All friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend.

The couple were married June 6, 1954 at Toqua Presbyterian Church in Monroe County. The Rev. C. McCoy Franklin officiated.
Mr. Franklin is a veteran. He is retired from ALCOA Inc. and served 12 years on the Blount County Commission.
Mr. Franklin is an elder and Mrs. Franklin is a deacon at Clover Hill Presbyterian Church. They continue to operate a farm on Big Springs Road.
Lowes celebrate 50 years (2004-06-02)
Barney R. and Mary S. (Mitchell) Lowe of Maryville observed their 50th wedding anniversary with a family celebration at Sullivan's in Maryville May 28.
The couple were married May 31, 1954 in Greenback.
Their family includes children and their spouses Tammy and Dave Marks and Darren and Sandy Lowe, all of Maryville. They have three grandchildren, Chad, Kevin and Abby.
Mr. Lowe retired from the United States Air Force in 1975 after 20 years and retired in 1994 after 16 years with Y-12 in Oak Ridge. Mrs. Lowe worked at Wal-Mart for 12 years.
They are members of Central Baptist Church of Alcoa.
Neuberts to celebrate 50 years (2004-06-02)
Dan and Wilma Joyce (Luttrell) Neubert of Maryville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception at 6 p.m. Saturday at Grace Memorial Church on Lincoln Street.

The couple were married June 2, 1954 at the home of the bride's parents in Knox County. The Rev. Lee A. Cate officiated.
Their family includes children and their spouses Dan and Becky Neubert Jr. and Anita and Dana Young, all of Maryville.
Mr. Neubert is employed with Rural/Metro Ambulance Service. He is a member of the board at Grace Memorial Church, member and past master New Providence Lodge #128 F&AM and Blount County Commissioner, District 1.
