Heilmans observe 50th anniversary (2001-11-28)
John and Ruth (Blair) Heilman of Maryville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception to be held Dec. 2 from 2-4 p.m. at 604 Alcoa Trail, Maryville. All friends and relatives are invited.
The couple request no gifts.
They were married Nov. 30, 1951. John Meister officiated.
Their family includes children John and Marilyn Heilman of Maryville, Paul and Barb Schoppman of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Gary and Connie McClintick of Toledo, Ohio, and Jim and Ruth Heilman of Maryville. They have 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Mr. Heilman is retired from Houk Candy Sales. Mrs. Heilman is retired from Levi's.
Chambers celebrate 60th anniversary (2001-11-28)
M.L. and Georgia Chambers of Maryville will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with their family.
The couple were married Nov. 30, 1941 at Middlesboro, Ky. The late Rev. Wint Bolton officiated.
Their family includes daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Bob Curtis of Johnson City. They have two granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Chambers is retired from Aluminum Company of America. Mrs. Chambers is a homemaker.
They are members of Broadway Baptist Church.
Williams observe 60th anniversary (2001-11-28)
Clyde E. and Irene (Shelley) Williams of Maryville celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Nov. 23 at Willajean Farm in Walland with family and friends.
The couple were married Dec. 5, 1941 at Seymour. The Rev. Shields Webb officiated.
Their family includes children Darryl and Karen Williams of South Carolina, Ruthie and Buddy Fey of Memphis and David and Donna Kay Williams of Lewisville, Texas. They have four grandchildren, Greg of New York, Jeff of Atlanta and Brian and Jonathan of Texas. They have one great-granddaughter, Sophie Kate of Atlanta.
Mr. and Mrs. Williams are retired from Williams Furniture.
Ogles to celebrate 55th anniversary (2001-11-28)
Carl and Edith (Mitchell) Ogle of Walland will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary Nov. 30.
The couple were married Nov. 30, 1946 in Chatsworth, Ga.
Their family includes children Ronald and Joann Ogle, Donald Ogle, Bobby and Connie Ogle, Kenneth and Sharon Pack and Dexter and Robin Farris, all of Maryville, and Jeff and Tammy Ogle of Florence, S.C. They have 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Ogle is a retired auto mechanic. Mrs. Ogle is a homemaker.
Davises celebrate 50th anniversary (2001-11-21)
J. C. and June (Pemberton) Davis of Louisville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a Caribbean cruise, a gift from their children.
The couple were married Nov. 24, 1951 at Calvary Baptist Church, Alcoa. The Rev. Burdis Fair officiated.
Their family includes children Tina and Wesley Kerr of Maryville and Tony and Karen Davis of Franklin. They have four grandchildren, Justin Kerr, Travis Kerr, Jordan Davis and Jacqueline Davis.
Mr. Davis is retired from Davis Floors. Mrs. Davis is retired as a registered nurse at Blount Memorial Hospital.
They are members of Monte Vista Baptist Church and spend winters in Leesburg, Fla.
