Ambler - Covic (2003 September 16)
Carly White Covic, daughter of Craig and Carol Covic of Cordova, was united in marriage with Joseph Alan Ambler, son of Robert and Susan Ambler of Maryville, Aug. 9 at Advent Presbyterian Church, Cordova. The Rev. Dr. David Schieber officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by Marsi Bellamy, Ginna Walker and Madeline Fallier.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory dress with pearls hand sewn into the bodice and along the edge of the train and a fingertip, sheet ivory veil pulled together by a wreath of pearls and small roses. Her bouquet was a bunch of cream, blush and burnt orange roses held together by a cream ribbon.
Christina Dresser of Marietta, Ga., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Claire Covic and Cybil Covic, sisters of the bride, both of Cordova, and Emily Henderson of Marietta, Ga. They wore champagne - colored dresses crocheted with pearls and carried bouquets of red blush and burnt orange roses.
Teresa Nicotera was flower girl. Josh Kuhsloss was ring bearer.
Brian Hellard of Knoxville was best man. Groomsmen were Mark Libell of Florence, Ala., Greg Gill of Knoxville and Chris Hixon of Clearwater, Fla.
A reception given by the parents of the bride was held at Club Winward in Cordova.
After a wedding trip to Door County, Wis., the couple are living in Decatur, Ga.
The bride received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from Agnes Scott College in May 2003 and is currently working on a Master of Arts degree in teaching English from Agnes Scott College.
The bridegroom received a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in sociology from Maryville College in May with certification in humanics.

Sise - Lindsey (2003 September 16)
Lori Ann Lindsey, daughter of Timandra Lindsey of Maryville and the late Larry Lindsey, was united in marriage with William Christopher Sise, son of Calvin and Patricia Sise of Knoxville, Aug. 16 at Sugarland Wedding Chapel in Gatlinburg.
The bride was escorted by her brother, Larry R. Lindsey Jr.
Allison Magill of Maryville was matron of honor. Jennifer Bryant of Maryville was bridesmaid.
Lauren Magill was flower girl. Trevor Sise was ring bearer.
Jeremy Clark of Knoxville was best man. Joey Byrd of Maryville was groomsman.
A reception given by the family of the bride was held at Calhoun's Banquet Hall.
After a seven - day wedding cruise to the Eastern Caribbean, the couple are living in Seymour.

Nicley - Rittenhouse (2003 September 16)
Julie Rittenhouse of Maryville, daughter of Lavenna Rittenhouse of Maryville and David Rittenhouse of Illinois, was united in marriage with Dewayne Nicley of Maryville, son of Nancy Nicley of Knoxville and the late Chester Nicley, Aug. 24 at Maryville Seventh Day Adventist Church. Rob Clayton officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by pianist Tammy Rick. The song ``On This Our Wedding Day" by Carman was played during the lighting of the unity candle.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a full - length dress embellished with lace and a pearl headpiece. She carried blue and white flowers.
Martha McCammon of Maryville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Heather Vance and Amber McCammon, both of Maryville. They wore long - sleeved, light blue dresses with forget - me - not flower design.
Lisa MacFadden and Rebekah MacFadden were flower girls. They wore long, baby blue dresses with roses at the bottoms of the dresses.
Corey Webb was ring bearer.
Best man was George Hamby of Maryville. Groomsmen were Steven Rittenhouse of Westmont, Ill., and Greg Rittenhouse of Maryville.
A reception given by the church was held at Maryville Seventh Day Adventist School. Assisting hostesses were Lavenna Rittenhouse and Carol Summerville.
After a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, the couple are living in Maryville.
The bride works at a child care on Pink Dogwood Lane.

Clendenen - Hargis (2003 September 09)
Wendi Leann Hargis, daughter of Steve and Janie Hargis of Friendsville, was united in marriage with Gary Neal Clendenen of Friendsville, son of Roy and Diane Clendenen of Maryville, Aug. 2 at Dotson Memorial Baptist Church. The Rev. John Coates and Gary Stinnett officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by organist/pianist Betty Drinnen and soloists Kim Bledsoe and Ronnie Phelps.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white princess - style dress with spaghetti straps featuring pearl and iridescent beading on the bodice. Her veil was fingertip length with crystal teardrops and beaded tiara. She carried long - stemmed orange lilies with yellow and white roses wrapped in celedon ribbon.
Christy Garland of Maryville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Dawn Chodak and Mandy Breeding of Maryville and Misty Blevins of Friendsville. Junior Bridesmaids were Lauren Carroll and Mikale Clendenen. They wore two - piece, V - neck celedon dresses made of satin and crepe and carried long - stemmed orange lilies with celedon ribbon wrapped around them.
Tiffany Carroll was flower girl. She wore a white satin dress with empire waist featuring a soft tulle overlay and a celedon satin sash.
Alicia Phelps kept the bride's book.
Roy Clendenen of Maryville was best man. Groomsmen were Kevin Clendenen of Maryville and Erik Clendenen, Kevin Gourley and Will Hargis, all of Friendsville.
A reception given by the parents of the bride was held at Dotson Memorial Baptist Church Christian Activities Center. Assisting hostesses were Brooke Newman, Shalee Sojka, Leann Drinnen and Angela Chaffin.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple are living in Friendsville.
The bride is a graduate of William Blount High School and will graduate in May 2004 with an associate's degree in dental hygiene. She is employed by Darrel Clabough, DDS.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Maryville High School. He is employed by the City of Alcoa and is also the assistant baseball coach at Heritage High School.
