Sooknanan - Roberts (2004 September 01)
Melissa Roberts of Maryville, daughter of Sandra Carter of Maryville, Eddie Roberts of Maryville and Floyd and Debbie Dunlap of Friendsville, was united in marriage with Shiva Sooknanan of Maryville, son of Harduar and Cousilla Sooknanan of Newark, N.J., May 15 at Middlesettlements United Methodist Church. The Rev. Joe Black officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by David Wells and April Nguyen.
Escorted by her father, Floyd Dunlap, the bride wore a white, empire waist, A - line, split - front chiffon gown with spaghetti straps, beaded lace trim and a sweep train. Her veil was adorned with pearls. She carried a bouquet of cascading white roses, Casa Blanca lilies and baby's breath.
Aimee Teffeteller of Maryville, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Nathena Bruce, Amy Lawson and Michelle Saylor, all of Maryville, and Joanna Sooknanan of Avenel, N.J., cousin of the bridegroom. Junior bridesmaids were Katie Connatser of Friendsville and Stephanie Stinnett of Knoxville. They wore yellow chiffon and satin gowns with empire waists and matching scarves. They carried bouquets of single yellow roses adorned with baby's breath.
Charlsie Ramsey was flower girl. Andrew Cruze, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer. Debbie Puckett kept the bride's book.
Nyron Kahrim of Newark, N.J., cousin of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Rudra Sooknanan and Shastri Sooknanan, brothers of the bridegroom, both of Newark, N.J.; Niran and Vashesh Sooknanan, cousins of the bridegroom, of Avenel, N.J.; Marlon Dhanasar of Longwood, Fla., cousin of the bridegroom; and Jeremy Teffeteller of Maryville, cousin of the bride.
A reception catered by First Fruits Catering was held at the church.
After a wedding trip to Destin, Fla., the couple are living in Maryville.
The bride is a certified phlebotomist at Blount Memorial Hospital.
The bridegroom is an aircraft mechanic with Continental Express.

Cheatwood - Bean (2004 September 01)
Cynthia Ann Bean, daughter of Gladys and Bobby Bean of Maryville, was united in marriage with Brent M. Cheatwood, son of Brenda and Gary Cheatwood of Maryville, June 5 at Broadway Baptist Church. The Rev. Bob Brown officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by Mary Hunt.
The bride was escorted by her father.
Beverly Hill of Maryville, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kelsey Christopher of Maryville, Karen Bean of Texas and Shanna Cheatwood of Maryville.
Kaitlyn Hill was flower girl. Charlie Hill was ring bearer. Shirley Roulette kept the bride's book.
Gary Cheatwood of Maryville, father of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Chad, Brad and Clark Cheatwood, all of Maryville.
A reception was held at the church.
After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, the couple are living in Maryville.

Fahy - Mahan (2004 August 24)
Shawn Marie Mahan of Maryville, daughter of John and Beverly Mullen of Richland, Wash., was united in marriage with Jimmy Michael Fahy of Maryville, son of Jim Fahy and Georgia and Roy Hurst, all of Maryville, Aug. 2 at Foothills Mall. George Williams officiated.
The bride was escorted by her son, Joshua ``Turtle" Castle.
Samantha Fahy of Maryville was maid of honor.
Joshua ``Turtle" Castle of Maryville was best man.
After a wedding trip to New Orleans, the couple are living in Maryville.

Walker - Tanner (2004 August 19)
Kristi Tanner of Maryville was united in marriage with Johnny Walker of Maryville July 24 at Dry Valley in Townsend. Fred Chorn officiated.
Special music was provided by the bridegroom and Steve Hammontree. Flowers for the ceremony were roses grown by Oscar Neill, the bridegroom's brother - in - law.
Shantel Tanner, the bride's sister - in - law, was matron of honor. Ivy Madison Tanner was flower girl.
Norman Hampton was best man.
A reception was hosted by the bride and bridegroom. Assisting during the ceremony and reception were Carol Chorn, Christy Creswell, Pat Burger, Donna and Steve Hammontree, and Delta and Earl Derrick.
