Debra Elaine Payne, daughter of James and Pat Payne of Maryville, was united in marriage with William Russell Priebe of Maryville, son of Cecile Priebe of Alabama, Sept. 25 at Greenbelt Park. The Rev. James A. Payne officiated.
The couple are living in Knoxville.

Welch - Franklin (2004 October 11)
Amanda (Mandy) Dawn Franklin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Chester Franklin of Maryville, was united in marriage with Charles (Chas) Herbert Welch Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Herbert Welch of Salisbury, N.C., July 31 at The Church of the Ascension. Father Alex Baron officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by Jim Garvey, organist; Bonnie Wallis, soloist; and Jonathan Swygert, trumpet.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a custom wedding gown from Atlanta designer Anne Barge. The pearl silk satin gown began with a contoured strapless neckline and had a fitted bodice with a dropped waist. The bodice was hand - embroidered with a Renaissance tapestry that incorporated metallic thread, cut glass beads and clear sequins. The A - line skirt flowed into a chapel - length train complete with silk satin covered buttons. The inverted pleat in the back of the skirt was adorned with the same embroidery that was on the bodice. The look was completed with a waist - length cage veil with scattered crystals. The bride carried a hand - tied bouquet of pearl - embellished stephanotis wrapped in ivory satin ribbon.
Kimberly Jan Rucker and Elaine Michelle Kelley, both of Nashville, were maids of honor. Bridesmaids were Bethany Carroll Hipple of Maryville, Megan Suzanne Curran of Chattanooga, Jacqueline Renae Mauer of Knoxville, Steffanie Mashburn Speck of Maryville, Ali Shea Davis of Nashville, Kamber Ann Ransom of Nashville, Stephanie Lynn Heath of Charlotte and Kelly Helton Moss of Knoxville. They wore blush - colored, satin - faced organza dresses with flamingo pink organza trim from New York designer Thread. The dresses were strapless and tea - length with a sash at the waists and trim the bust and bottom hem. They carried hand - tied bouquets of lush, open roses in varying shades of pink finished with satin ribbon.
Brooke Nicole Parker was flower girl. Yves Jansen Tucker and Alan Hayes Wiser were ring bearers. Joy Michelle Folland and Blakely Lauren Bodeman kept the bride's book.
Charles Herbert Welch of Salisbury was best man. Groomsmen were Rusty Lee Bodenhimer of High Point, N.C., Theodore Vaughn Garret Griffin of New York, John Howard Leake of York, S.C., Brittian King Cherry of Charleston, S.C., David Wayne White of High Point, N.C., Sam Christopher Franklin of Maryville, Stephen Hayes Wiser of Beaufort, S.C., and Britt Anthony Brantley of Valdosta, Ga. Ushers were Jeffrey Thomas Tucker of Johnson City, Jerol Adrian Graves of New York and Jonathan Patrick Cavanaugh of Winston Salem, N.C.
A reception given by the parents of the bride was held at Gettysvue Country Club.
After a wedding trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple are living in Charleston, S.C.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Maryville College. She is a pharmaceutical representative for Barr Laboratories.
The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of High Point University. He is a sales consultant for Synthes, USA.

Bauman - McCaulley (2004 October 18)
Misty Dawn McCaulley, daughter of Pam and Tom Sawyer of Maryville, was united in marriage with Shawn David Bauman of Maryville, son of Paula Bauman of Sweetwater and Dale Bauman of Alton, N.H., Oct. 2 at the home of Paula Bauman and Eddie Woodby in Sweetwater. Keith Woodby officiated.
Paige Clark was maid of honor and Ashley McCaulley was flower girl. Caleb Thomas Bauman, son the bride and groom, was ring bearer.
An outside reception with buffet followed.
The bride is a graduate of Heritage High School and Tusculum College.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Sweetwater High School.

Ferrell - Posey (2004 October 18)
Rhonda Posey, daughter of Ray Shuler and Marlene Parker, all of Robbinsville, N.C., was united in marriage with Daniel Ferrell, son of Mike Ferrell and Linda Ferrell, all of Waynesboro, Miss., July 23 in Gatlinburg.
A reception given by the family of the bridegroom was held in Waynesboro, Miss.
After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple are living in Knoxville.
The bride graduated magna cum laude from Roane State Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in respiratory therapy. She is a registered respiratory therapist and works in the cardiopulmonary department at Blount Memorial Hospital.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Jones County Junior College of Ellisville, Miss., with an associate's degree in liberal arts and also graduated magna cum laude from Roane State Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in respiratory therapy. He is a registered respiratory therapist and works in the cardiopulmonary department at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He is a senior at the University of Tennessee studying biological sciences.

Bivens - Whaley (2004 September 01)
Christina L. Whaley of Maryville, daughter of Joey Whaley and Janet Nichols, both of Maryville, was united in marriage with John B. Bivens, son of Junior and Pam Bivens of Maryville, July 10 at Springview Baptist Church. The Rev. Dennis Capehart officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by Becky Whitehead, pianist, and Pricilla Gregory, vocalist.
Escorted by her uncle, Michael L. Andies, the bride wore a white, custom - made, five - layer, A - line halter gown with a design of crystals and beads on the outer layer and down the five - foot train. Her waist - length, one - layer white tulle veil had satin trim and was held in place by a diamond tiara. She carried a cascading bouquet of red and white roses with baby's breath, Italian ruscus and ivy with a white tulle ribbon.
Donessa Irvin of Knoxville was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Pam Owens of Greenback and Jenny Nichols of Rockford. They wore floor - length, red satin, spaghetti string gowns with red satin wraps around the arms. They carried hand - tied arm bouquets of two red roses and one white long - stemmed rose with baby's breath, Italian ruscus and tree fern with red satin ribbon.
Christal Prince was flower girl. She wore a white satin, custom - made, V - neck gown with white lace over the shoulders with a crystal and bead design that also went down the three - foot train. She wore a headpiece of miniature red and white roses with baby's breath.
Tristan Headrick was ring bearer. Tiffany Oliver and Karri Ammons kept the bride's book.
Donnie Headrick of Maryville was best man. Groomsmen were Johnny Titlow of Maryville and Eddie Meiller of Seymour.
A reception given by the parents of the bridegroom was held at the church fellowship hall. Joyce Capehart was server.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of William Blount High School, a 2001 graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in nursing as an LPN, and is attending Roane State Community College for EMT. She is employed at Asbury Place in Maryville in the nursing department and is a member of the Blount County Rescue Squad.
The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Alcoa High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in forestry. He is a 2003 graduate of Walters State Basic Police Recruit School and is a police officer with the Maryville Police Department.
