Bookhardt - Ridings (2004 December 14)
Andrea Gail Ridings, daughter of Mike Ridings and Tina Ridings, both of Maryville, was united in marriage with Kristen Lee Bookhardt, son of Henry and Deloris Bookhardt of Spring City, Nov. 13 at Laurel Valley Chapel in Townsend.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a sleeveless, ivory organza over satin dress with a sculpted bodice, draped neckline and mini flutter train. The waistline was embellished with Swarovski crystal beading.
Attendants were Mandy Hembree of Maryville and Trish Keys of Knoxville.
H.J. Bookhardt, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man.
A reception was held in Townsend.
After a wedding trip to Top Sail Island on the coast of North Carolina, the couple are living in Maryville.
The bride is a graduate of Heritage High School. She is employed as a certified chiropractic technician at Seymour Heights Chiropractic in Seymour and as an entertainer with The Legend Singers. She is the granddaughter of James and Gladys Burns of Walland, Sylvia Fagg of Maryville and the late Jimmy Fagg.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Heritage High School and attends ITT Tech in Knoxville. He is employed by Danny Davis Electric in Maryville. He is the grandson of Henry A Bookhardt of Jacksonville, N.C., the late Margaret Bookhardt, Bessie Rhodes of Jacksonville, N.C., and the late John K. Rhodes.

Batson - Tipton (2004 December 14)
Cecilia Ann Tipton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tipton of Maryville, was united in marriage with Brent Dillon Batson of Louisville, son of Debbie Batson of Maryville and Bill Batson of Louisville, Nov. 13 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Alcoa. The Rev. Alex Waraksa and the Rev. Bob Lawson officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by Chris Karnowski, pianist, and Laura Jetter, soloist.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white, Juliet - style gown with flowing Elizabethan sheer sleeves and matching veil. She carried a bouquet of white Virginia roses and purple Bluebird roses.
Rene Cooper of Knoxville was maid of honor. Bridesmaid was Rebecca Bylsma of Maryville. They wore floor - length, amethyst chiffon gowns with draped cowl neckline and carried hand - tied bouquets of Bluebird roses, lavender and deep purple roses.
Samantha Smith kept the bride's book and distributed programs.
Brandon Batson of Louisville was best man. Groomsman was Jonathan Tipton of Maryville and usher was Jeromy Smith of Louisville.
A reception given by the parents of the bride was given at Fatima Center.
After a wedding trip to Indianapolis, the couple are living in Maryville.
The bride is employed by Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic.
The bridegroom is employed by Sullivan's Restaurant.

Smith - Lawson (2005 January 24)
Laura K. Smith is engaged to marry Richard D. Lawson at 6 p.m. March 19 at Central Baptist Church, Fountain City.
The future bride is the daughter of John and Vicki Violette of Knoxville. She is the granddaughter of Tommy and Frances Nipper of Knoxville, Bob and Betty Ann Smith of Knoxville and the late Kenneth Cameron.
The future bridegroom is the son of Rick and Vicky Lawson of Louisville. He is the grandson of Ora Humphrey of Knoxville, the late Clifford Humphrey, and the late Roland and Ruby Lawson.
The bride - to - be is a graduate of Central High School in Knoxville and Carson - Newman College. She is employed as a kindergarten teacher at Brickey - McCloud Elementary School in Knox County.
The bridegroom - to - be is a graduate of Maryville High School and Carson - Newman College. He is employed as advertising account executive at WB20 of Knoxville.

Blick - Green (2005 January 17)

Nuptial music was provided by violinist Christine Robinson.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an A - line ivory silk dress by Pronovias featuring a tank - style bodice and a French bustle. Her drop veil was edged with lace taken from her mother's wedding gown. The bride carried a hand - tied bouquet of peach roses.
A dinner reception given by the parents of the bride was held at the Omni Hotel in downtown Charlotte, N.C.
After a wedding trip to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple are living in Charlotte, N.C.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Maryville High School and a 2001 graduate of Queens College, Charlotte, N.C., where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in international studies and French. She also studied abroad one year at the Sorbonne in Paris, France. She is employed as materials planner with InChem Corp. in Rock Hill, S.C.
The bridegroom is a 1997 graduate of Pleasant Valley High School in Brodesville, Pa. and a 2001 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. He is employed as planning manager with Hearst Corporation in Charlotte, N.C.
The bride is the granddaughter of Albert and Barbara Rieger of Salem, S.C., Homer and Jean Green of Old Hickory and the late Della Green.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Dr. Isador and Dr. Alene Becker of coral Springs, Fla., the late William and Gertrude Blick and the late William Sterling Hopwood Sr.
