Wilde - Spoon (2002 May 27)
Iva M. Spoon was united in marriage with Jake C. Wilde April 6 at Oak View Baptist Church. The Rev. Glenn Gamble officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by organist Terry Tipton and pianist Jim Everett. Vocalists were Vicki and Katie Russell.
Escorted by her daughter Donna Spoon and son Benson Spoon, the bride wore an ankle - length beige dress with beading. She carried a bouquet of roses.
Connie Keeble was matron of honor. Kim Wilde kept the guest book.
Lynn Wilde, son of the bridegroom, was best man.
A reception was held in the church fellowship hall. Assisting hostesses were Katie and Rebecca Livengood and Stephanie Davis, granddaughters of the bride.
After a wedding trip to Maui, the couple are living in Maryville and Walland.

Brown - Davis (2002 May 17)
Cherie Marie Davis of Chattanooga, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Wayne T. Davis of Alcoa, was united in marriage with Scott Newton Brown III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Newton Brown Jr. of Chattanooga, April13 at First Presbyterian Church, Chattanooga. The Rev. Jim Suddeth of Chattanooga and the Rev. Cabel Trent of Knoxville officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by organist James R. Rogers, bagpiper Russ Spaulding and vocalists Mary Jane Rogers and Layr Hough.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a satin and organza gown with a detachable train, both enhanced with beaded venise lace. The fingertip veil was double layered with satin edging. She carried a bouquet of fresh mini calla lilies, roses, tulips and poppies in white, pink and orange tones with galax leaves for support.
Ashley Black of Clayton, N.C., was matron of honor and Betsy Brown of Chattanooga was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Misty Garrett of Friendship, Lisa Helms of Winston - Salem, N.C., Susan Koluch of Kernersville, N.C., Hillary Smith of Chattanooga, Andrea Larson of Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., and April Riddle of Trenton, Ga. They wore black, floor - length sheath dresses and carried a bouquet of similar design to that of the bride in pink and orange tones.
Chris Brown of Maryville and Scott Brown Jr. of Chattanooga were best men. Groomsmen were Terry Crawford of Ann Arbor, Mich., Bart Davis of Nashville, Randy Dowell of Charlotte, N.C., Steve Marsh of Chattanooga, David McBride of Atlanta, Capt. Alex Henegar of Zagreb, Croatia, and Dr. Brian Sanders of Virginia Beach, Va.
A reception given by the parents of the bride was held at the church.
After a wedding trip to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., London and Scotland, the couple are living in Chattanooga.
The bride received a bachelor's degree in physical therapy from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga. She is a physical therapist with Hutcheson Medical Center, Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga.
The bridegroom received a bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of Virginia and a master's degree from the London School of Economics, London, England. He is an investment officer with UmumProvident, Chattanooga.

Willis - Hipps (2002 October 08)
Natalie Diane Hipps of Maryville, daughter of Doug and Connie Hipps of Maryville and Sandy and Dennis Mangum of Roxboro, N.C., was united in marriage with Greg Alan Willis of Maryville, son of Cecil and Cathy Willis of Maryville and Ken and Mary Johnson of Powell, Aug. 17 at Heritage Park in Townsend. Mark Carr officiated.
Nuptial music was provided by Brandon Majors, Renee Johnson, stepsister of the bridegroom, and Kerry Gentry.
Escorted by her father and stepfather, the bride wore a strapless pearl white satin dress with a cathedral train. The body of the dress was accented in peach, gold and silver beads. The satin headpiece and veil, which was accented in the same beading as the dress, were made by the bride's mother, Sandy Mangum. The bride carried a bouquet of white lilies.
Renee Willocks of Greenback, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Tracey Rockwell, Kristin Davis, Mandy Rimmer and Lynnette Holt, cousin of the bride, all of Roxboro, N.C., Ceaira Jenkins, niece of the bride, and Monique Willis, daughter of the bridegroom, both of Greenback. They wore banana and periwinkle A - line dresses of satin with chiffon overlay. They carried bouquets of white lilies accented by banana or periwinkle scarves.
Megan Willis, niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl. Blake Martin, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. Chelsea Riddle and Heather Lowe kept the bride's book.
Brandon Majors of Maryville was best man. Groomsmen were Roy Garrett, cousin of the bridegroom, Shane Hill, Erich Webber, Dustin Sands, Chuck Yates and Jacob Willis, nephew of the bridegroom, all of Maryville, and Daniel Willis of Greenback, son of the bridegroom.
A reception given by family and friends was held at Heritage Park featuring barbecue and ``Dixie Highway." Assisting were Jama Green, Rita Pool, Vivian Phelps, Darlene Welchance, Barb Miller, Kenny Phelps, Ray Welchance and Boyd Miller.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, the couple are living in Maryville.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Person High School in Roxboro, N.C., and attended Appalachian State University. She is employed as billing and collections coordinator at Tennessee Valley Urology.
The bridegroom is a 1990 graduate of William Blount High School. He is self - employed as a contractor with B&G Remodeling.

Miller - Hill (2002 October 08)
Wendi Hill, daughter of Elmer and Teresa Hill of Maryville, was united in marriage with Michael Brian Miller, son of Harold and Iris Miller of Tellico Plains, Aug. 31 at Heartland Wedding Chapel. The Rev. Stinnett officiated.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a dress with a beaded brocade bodice supported by beaded spaghetti straps. The full, flowing, scalloped skirt was trimmed in brocade and beads. A cathedral - length train extended from the skirt and was adorned with beaded lace appliqués of flowers. The bride wore silk and lace Queen Anne opera gloves and a veil which was handmade by her aunt and consisted of a tiara and a double layer of tulle with faux pearls and a smattering of lilac beads. The bride carried a cascading bouquet of silk lilac roses with drops of dew.
Kassie Hill of Maryville was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kattie Hill of Maryville and Jami Day of Fairfield, Calif. They wore simple, elegant floor - length lilac satin dresses. The maid of honor carried a miniature lilac rose bouquet with white ribbon, while the bridesmaids carried single white long - stemmed roses with white ribbon.
Adam Duncan of Maryville was best man. Groomsmen were Andy Miller of Tellico Plains and Rodney Hill of Maryville.
A reception was held at Heartland Reception Hall.
After a wedding trip to Townsend, the couple are living in Maryville.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of William Blount High School and a 2002 graduate of Pellissippi State Technical Community College. She is a laboratory clerk at Research and Diagnostic Laboratories in Knoxville.
The bridegroom is a line technician at TRW Koyo in Vonore.
