Graveside service for Dave Burns Taylor, 58, of Nacogdoches and formerly of Timpson will be at 3 p.m. today in Woodlawn Cemetery with the Rev. Clark Stricklin officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Taylor died Feb. 26, 2005, in Nacogdoches Medical Center.
Born May 8, 1946, in Shreveport, La., he was the son of William McKnight “Mack” and Evie Ruth Burns Taylor.
He was employed as an employment consultant.
Survivors include a brother, Albert M. Taylor of Snyder.

Gertrude Horne Buck
Funeral for Gertrude Horne Buck, 85, of Center will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Mangum Funeral Home Chapel, Center, with the Rev. Leonard Milford officiating.
Burial will be in Neuville Cemetery.
Buck died Feb. 28, 2005, in Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital.
Born July 4, 1919, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of Luther and Lela Buckner Conway.
She was a homemaker.
She was married to John Buck, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include son, Dale Horne of Center; daughters, Carolyn Lamb of Shelbyville and Joan Andrews of Center; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today.

Antonio Apolonio
Funeral for Antonio Apolonio, 51, of Center will be at noon Saturday at Mangum Funeral Home Chapel, Center, with Ferrell Russell officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Center.
Apolonio died Feb. 26, 2005, in his residence.
Born June 13, 1953, in Mexico, he was the son of Joan Apolonio and Antonia Silva.
He was employed with the sanitation department at Tyson.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Teresa Martinez of Center; sons, Alfredo Martinez and Robert Apolonio, both of Center; daughters, Elsa Apolonio of Center and Laura Martinez of Nacogdoches; mother, Antonia Silva of Center; father, Juan Apolonio of Mexico; brothers,
Cesario Florencio of Center and Gustavo Florencio and Miguel Florencio, both of Mexico; daughters, Josefina Apolonio, Marcelina Florencio and Martha Florencio, all of Mexico, Isabel Florencio of Lufkin and Yolanda Florencio and Sandra Florencio, both of Center; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday.

C. W. Arnold
Graveside service for C. W. Arnold, 76, of Nacogdoches will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Shiloh Cemetery, with the Rev. Tim Self officiating.
Arnold died Feb. 27, 2005, in Nacogdoches.
Born Oct. 12, 1927, in Mount Enterprise, he was the son of Bertha May Atkin and Curtis D. Arnold.
He was a farmer and a Baptist.
Survivors include brother, L. Gene Arnold of Nacogdoches; and sister, Retha Mae Livaudais of Timpson.
Memorial donations may be made to Shiloh Cemetery maintenance fund, Rt. 3 Box 246, San Augustine, Texas 75972.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday today.

Lance Stanley Morrison
Funeral for Lance Stanley Morrison, 34, of Dumas will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Dumas with Shannon Gillespie, the Rev. Rick Korsmo, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, Dumas, the Rev. Eddie Tubbs, pastor of First Baptist Church, Dumas, officiating.
Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
Morrison died February 27, 2005, in Amarillo.
Lance was born March 31, 1970, in Dumas. He was a graduate of Texas Christian University where he received his degree in ranch management.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Morrison of Dumas; daughters, Mazzy Morrison and Madison Barker, both of Dumas; sons, Joshua Valdez and Eli Valdez, both of of Dumas; father, Jim Morrison and wife, Jackie, of Nacogdoches; mother, Shera May and husband, Doug, of Amarillo; brother, Coby May of Amarillo; and grandmothers, Edna May of Dumas and Claudine Harris of Amarillo.

Maurice Elizabeth Hartt
Maurice E. Hartt, 88, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2005, at her residence.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hartt will be held at 10 a.m. today in the Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel with the Reverend Johnny Newton of Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Hartt was born October 16, 1916, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to the late Benjamin “Ben” and Georgia Varner Boozer.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
She lived in Nacogdoches for many years and was known as the owner of Nacogdoches Floral Company as well as the Apple Blossom Shop.
She had also spent over 20 years in Pasadena where she worked for the Pasadena Independent School District.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Hartt; her son, Roy Waggoner Jr.; her daughter, Maurice Alaine Waggoner; her sister, Mildred E. Vines; and her brother, Byron Boozer.
Survivors include her daughters, Jeraldine “Jerry” Champagne of Centerville, Louisiana, Glynda Martin of Pasadena, Texas, and Sherry Smelley and husband, J.R., of Garrison, Texas; her son, William “Bill” Hartt of Garrison, Texas; and her brother, Harold Boozer of Nacogdoches, Texas.
She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors.

Arnold Pershing Payne
Arnold Pershing Payne, of Nacogdoches, Texas, passed away Monday, February 28, 2005, after a lengthy illness with Parkinson's disease.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, with the Reverend Paul Sevar, Calvary Baptist Church, Nacogdoches, officiating.
Assisted by the Reverend Travis Sellers, minister of music, Calvary Baptist Church, Nacogdoches.
Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
Mr. Payne was born, March 2, 1921, in Williamsburg, Kentucky, to Joseph A. Payne and Sallie Ann Kidd Payne.
He was a graduate of Pennington Gap High School in Virginia and Cumberland College in Williamsburg.
He then joined the Air Force and attended officers candidate school where he earned the rank of captain.
During World War II he served as cadet officer in charge of instruction and training.
After serving his country, he attended the University of Texas and earned his bachelors degree as well as his masters degree.
He later returned to obtain his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University.
He was a longtime public educator and school administrator. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly Donahoe Payne of Nacogdoches, Texas; his son, Joseph Paul Payne and wife, Susie, of Houston, Texas; his daughters, Johanna P. Jones of Millis, Massachusetts, Lucy P. Capps and late husband, Jerry, of Eagle Lake, Texas; and Mary Jane Schumacher and husband, Michael, of Houston, Texas; his step-son, Ray Greer and wife, Joyce, of Nacogdoches, Texas; his six grandchildren; one step granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; one niece; and five nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Family requests that memorials be made in lieu of flowers to the building fund at Calvary Baptist Church.
Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, Nacogdoches, Texas.

Doris Ozell Adkison
Services for Mrs. Doris Ozell Adkison will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Garrison Funeral Home Chapel, Garrison, Texas.
The Rev. Darrell Pollard, pastor of Arlam Baptist Church, will officiating and be assisted by the Rev. Todd Muckleroy, youth minister at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Dr. Gerald Edwards, director of Missions for the East Texas Baptist Area will preside at the graveside services in Cold Springs Cemetery immediately following the chapel service. George and Wade Muckleroy will provide the music, and pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Ozell, as she was known to everyone, was born November 27, 1928, in Nacogdoches County.
She was the oldest child of Leon and Lula Arrington Pollard.
She was united in marriage with Robert Edward “Bill” Adkison on February 19, 1944, in Garrison, Texas, and they have celebrated 61 years together.
She attended the Pine Hill School and Garrison High School.
Ms. Ozell was an excellent seamstress, and in addition to being a homemaker, she worked for many years at the Mize Dress Factory and later at the Mize Department Store.
Her church membership resides at Walnut Grove Baptist Church, but she was a longtime member of Cod Springs Baptist Church and currently attending Arlam Baptist Church.
She served as junior Sunday school teacher for many years and was an avid worker of vacation Bible school.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; her mother, Lula Pollard, both of Garrison; sons, Bobby Dale “Buddy” Adkison of Garrison, Mike “Cotton” Adkison and wife, Diane, of Garrison, Ron Adkison and wife, Tamra, of Henderson ; daughters, Gayle Adkison of Garrison, Judy Stokes and husband, Jesse, of Garrison, Janie Muckleroy and husband, George, of Nacogdoches; brothers, Oneal Pollard and wife, Marylou, Don Pollard and wife, Bobbie, Dwight Pollard and wife, Pat, Dwain Pollard and wife, Jeanette, Darrell Pollard and wife, Phyllis, Dickie Pollard and wife, Lynn; sisters, Dannie Loggins, Deva Roy and husband, Jules, Dena Westmoreland and husband, Bobby; grandchildren, Wade and wife, Jana, Todd and wife, Wanda Angie and husband, Mark, Georgette and husband, Chris, Kandi and husband, Shannon, Kristi and husband, Byron, Corey and wife, Michelle, Jessica and husband, Tommy, Kyle and wife, Amie, Veronica and husband, Brett, Hanna, Jordan, Alex, Kayla and Cason; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Maci, Madison Cole, Chandler, Josh, Brylie, Katie, Julianne, Sawyer, Gus, Phoebe Kate, Tristan and Race; and a special caregiver, Tina Johnson.
