Memorial services for Michael D. "Big Mike" Alexander, 42, Malakoff, were held Sept. 21, 2003 (today), at the Village Church, Log Cabin with the Rev. George Dooly officiating. Arrangements by Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Dooly was born Sept. 18, 1960, in Bossier City, La., and died Sept. 9, 2003, in Dallas.
He was a mechanic.
Survivors are significant other, Barbara Morgan and her three children, Don, Shane and Christi, Mesquite; sisters, Belinda Alexander, Malakoff; Dobbie Alexander, Quinlan; Peggy Klem, Mesquite; brothers, Frankie Alexander, Arlington; Jerry Alexander, Cisco; Melton Alexander, Little Elm; Raymond Alexander, Little Elm; Dale Moore, Cisco; and 15 grandchildren.

Jacqueline Horne
Services for Jacqueline Elsie Horne, 81, Rowlett, were held Sept. 19, 2003, at Rest Haven Cemetery in Corsicana with the Rev. Royce Riley officiating. Arrrangements were under the direction of Rest Haven Funeral Home, Rockwall.
Horne was born Nov. 2, 1921, in Portland, Ore., and died Sept. 16, 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milburn Home and brother, John Kay Jr.
Prior to her retirement she worked as a secretary. Her real joy was in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Dianna Crouse and her husband, Steve, Nevada; son, James Horne and his wife, Paula, Greeley, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244.

Jerry Drachenberg
Memorial services for Jerry Rowland Drachenberg, 70, Malakoff, were held Sept. 19, 2003, at the Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malakoff with D.A. Drachenberg officiating, under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Malakoff.
Drachenberg was born June 24, 1933, in Galena, Kan., to Tony and Ruth Drachenberg, and died Sept. 20, 2003, at his residence.
He has lived in the Malakoff area since 1978, and served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Louise; mother, Ruth Drachenberg, Webb City, Mo.; children and spouses, Jerry and Casi Drachenberg Jr., Ector; Pearl and Chris Conley, Austin; Grace Nakamura, Malakoff; Tony and Sue Drachenberg, Garland; Cindy and Chris DelaGarza, Garland; Patti Bonilla, North Richland Hills; and Johnny and Debbie Ray, Virginia; brother, D.A. Drachenberg, Valle Vista, Ark.; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

James A. Buckner
Memorial services at Cedar Creek Lake United Methodist Church are pending for James A. Buckner Sr., Gun Barrel City, who died Sept. 23, 2003, following a long illness.

J.B. Glenn
Services of remembrance were held for J.B. Glenn, 67, Mabank, Sept. 23, 2003, at Rose Heights Church of God in Gun Barrel City, with the Rev. Sam McGraner officiating. Burial followed in Elm Grove Cemetery in Van Zandt County, under the direction of Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Kemp.
Glenn was born Aug. 28, 1936, in Kaufman, to Jefferson Bryant Glenn and Nattie Mae Hollingsworth Glenn, and died Sept. 21, 2003.
He attended Rose Heights Church of God and helped build the Youth Center there.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Gail and Donald Baker, Payne Springs; daughter, Cynthia Kay Tucker, Gun Barrel City; sons and daughters-in-law, Alton Doyle and Donna Glenn, New Mexico; and James Douglas and Debbie Glenn, Payne Springs; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Lonnie Glenn, Livingston; sisters, Jo Williams, Buffalo; Gracie Smith, Seven Points; and Dorothy Lighthall, Houston; and many other relatives and friends.

Charles Henry Prigmore
Services for Charles Henry Prigmore were held Sept. 20, 2003, at the Allison Funeral Home in Liberty, Hull Texas. Interment followed at Guedry Cemetery, Hull.
Prigmore died Sept. 9, 2003, in Hull after a long illness.
He was born July 8, 1935, in Roscoe to Tom and Julia Prigmore. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lloyd Prigmore and Curtis Gaddy; and sister, Nell Ashley.
Shortly after his birth, the family moved to the Tolosa community. He attended school in Tolosa and Kemp schools before moving to Houston to complete his education, He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad after 43 years of service. He was a kind and gentle man who loved his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Rose Battenfield Prigmore; son, Jerry Wayne Prigmore; daughter, Holly Garcia and her husband, Robert; grandchildren, Jennifer Shults, Nicholas Shults and Selena Garcia, all of Hull; brothers, Jerry Prigmore, Combine; and Edwin Prigmore, Colorado Springs, Colo.

Don Lonsford
Services for Don Lonsford, 76, Sheridan, Ore., were held Sept. 22, 2003, at Eubank Memorial Chapel in Mabank. Burial was in Payne Springs Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Lonsford was born Feb. 16, 1927, in Payne Springs and died Sept. 15, 2003, in Sheridan, Ore. He was preceded in death by Bonnie Jean Allen and William T. Lonsford.
He was a geophysicist employed by Mobil Oil. and a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his sisters, Charlotte Cascone, New York; Marjorie Sue Lonsford, Palm Springs, Calif.; Donna Mae Peters, Carrollton; Alice Shows, Jackson, Ala.; Ruth Stroud, Princeton; brothers, Charles Lonsford, Sheridan, Ore.; and Lowell Lonsford, Payne Springs.

George Collins
Services for George Collins, Seven Points, were held Sept. 23, 2003, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville. Interment followed at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Collins was born May 25, 1925, in Ropesville, and died Sept. 18, 2003.
Collins was a proud World War II Army veteran, serving in the 84th Infantry Division (Railsplitters). He fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a Mason and an Oddfellow, and enjoyed being a ham radio operator.
The retired owner of Advanced Locksmith in Rockwall, he was also a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Arcadia Park.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Mickey Collins; daughters, Elaine Williams, Janet Caldwell and husband, Sam; Barbara Caster and husband Gary; stepdaughter, Beverly Mummey and husband, Buz; stepson, Woody Barnes and wife T.; grandchildren, Brian and Amy Williams; Brent Williams; Darrin and Regina Caldwell; Karen and Collin Lasater; Wendy and Sam Caster; Marissa Anderson and husband, Eric; and Justin Mummey; great-grandchildren, Austin and Conner Williams; Melody and Raelyn Caldwell; Lauren and Colton Wrzesinski; Reagan and Rileigh Bandy; Sarah Lasater; Marlie and Macie Anderson; McKenna Mummey; brother, Raymond Sam Collins; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Winnelle Wise
Services for Winnelle Wise, 81, Van Alstyne, were held Sept. 20, 2003, at the First Baptist Church, Eustace with the Rev. James Kinmon officiating. Burial was in Moorehead-Melton Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Wise was born Feb. 19, 1922, in Eustace, and died Sept. 17, 2003, in Meadow Brook Care Center.
She was employed as a key punch operator with the U.S. Postal Service and was a Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church, Eustace.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara and her husband, Jack Washington, Van Alstyne; brother, Evon and his wife, Pat Harper, Kaufman; step-grandchildren, Natalie Washington and Nathan and his wife, Cynthia Washington; grandson, Casey and his wife, Natalie McCollough, Dallas; granddaughter, Corrin McCollough, Aubrey; nephews, Garry Harper, Terrell; Steve Harper, Kaufman; nieces, Nelda Campbell, Athens; Laurie Harper, Kaufman; and Sharon Jones, DeSoto.
Pallbearers wereBilly Campbell, Ashley Harper, Steve Harper, Nowell Kinard, Bill Todd and Natalie Washington.

Elizabeth Marie McLendon
Services for Elizabeth Marie McLendon, 76, Mabank, were held Sept. 20, 2003, at Payne Springs Cemetery with the Rev. Kenneth Hensley officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
McLendon was born April 1, 1927, in Waxahachie and died Sept. 18, 2003, in White Oak.
She was a nurse.
Survivors include her mother, Mollie Mae Davis, Mabank; stepdaughter, Lynnell and her husband, Ed Norman, Alaska; sons, Bobby Weaver, Longview; Ralph and his wife, Glenda Weaver, White Oak; brother, Joe and his wife, Nellie Davis, Waxahachie; Junior and his wife, Kay Davis, Terrell; sister, Joann and her husband, Bill Tiner, LaRue; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Henry Jernigan
Services for Henry Thomas Jernigan, 92, Malakoff, were held Sept. 23, 2003, at the Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malakoff with James Barnett officiating. Burial was in Malakoff Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.
Jernigan was born Dec. 13, 1910, in Malakoff to J .W. and Maggie Clay Jernigan and died Sept. 19, 2003, in Athens. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jernigan and son James Jernigan.
He had lived in the Malakoff area for 30 years and was a retired machinist with General Dynamics.
Survivors include his sons and their spouses, Tommy and Pearlie Jernigan, Dallas; Bobby and Ella Jernigan, Arlington; Jackie and Gail Jernigan, Bryan; and Joe Henry and Mary Jernigan, Grand Prairie; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

Alexandra Chisholm
Services for Alexandra Raven Kay Chisholm, 12, LaRue, formerly of Palestine, were held Oct. 23, 2003, at Evangelistic Temple in Palestine with Brother Barry Roberts officiating. Burial was in LaRue Cemetery, Henderson County, under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home, Athens.
Chisholm was born Aug. 9, 1991, in Dallas to Rickey Chisholm and Amanda K. Grissom Adair, and died Sept. 19, 2003, in a Tyler hospital. She was preceded in death by her father, Ricky Chisholm in 1999, and grandmother, Earlene Warrell in 1002.
She was in the seventh grade at LaPoyner Middle School and a member of the basketball team.
She was a member of Evangelistic Temple in Palestine.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Amanda and Eric Adair, LaRue; brother, Nathan Chisholm, LaRue; sister, Erica Adair, Mesquite; grandparents, Jerry and Deanna Grissom, Livingston; Alice Dillard, Cedar Creek Lake; Elvin and Jan Adair, Athens; and Pat Chisholm, Mesquite; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Members of the LaPoyner basketball program will serve as pallbearers.

Mike Kelley
Graveside services for Mike Kelley, 64, Wills Point, were held Sept. 26, 2003, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Kaufman County, with Nathan Holmes officiating, under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Seven Points.
Kelley was born June 22, 1939, in Missouri, and died Sept. 23, 2003, at his residence.
He was a licensed plumber.
Survivors include his wife, Lizzie Turner; sons, Joseph Carl Kelley, Mo.; Robin Kelley, Mo.; Colby Kelley, Seven Points; Clayton Kelley, Kaufman; Michael A. Kelley, Sunnyvale; stepsons, Jerry Cantrell, Indiana; James Turner, Wills Point; stepdaughters, Lizzie Middour, Kaufman; Mary Turner, Wills Point; brothers, Bill Kelley, Mo.; Paul Kelley, Mo.; sisters, Aldeen, Tenn.; and Suzie, Washington.

Carolyn Hyde
Services for Carolyn Hyde, 59, Mabank, were held Sept. 1, 2003, at First United Methodist Church, Mabank, with the Rev. Glen Blackmon and Rev. Steve Glosup officiating. Interment followed in Fountainview, Cedar Creek Memorial Park, Mabank.
Hyde was born Aug. 13, 1944, in Malakoff, and died Aug. 30, 2003, in Dallas.
She was a teacher for many years in the Kemp Independent School District and was a licensed Realtor. She was an avid bowler, loved tennis, golf, fishing and was a member of of the First Baptist Church, Eustace.
She dearly loved children and was a friend to everyone she met.
Survivors include her sisters, Penny Lewis and husband, Archie, Trinidad; Deborah Eubank and husband, Robert, Mabank; nephew, Vincent Conner and wife, Lacy, Trinidad; nieces, Sunny Baker and husband, Jim, Gun Barrel City; Jennifer Raines, Austin; step-father, Gene Frazier and his wife, Opal, Payne Springs; great-nephew, Dakota Baker, Gun Barrel City; great-nieces, Sierra Baker, Gun Barrel City; and Madalyne Conner, Trinidad; other family members and a host of friends.
