Dorothy Adamson
Services for Dorothy Irene Adamson, 77, Gun Barrel City, were held Jan. 14, 2004, at Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Byron Jones officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Seagoville, under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home, Mabank.
Adamson was born Nov. 26, 1926, in Durant, Okla., and died Jan. 10, 2004, in Athens.
She was a homemaker and resided in Gun Barrel City for 15 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gun Barrel City.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene Adamson, Gun Barrel City; daughters, Ann Garza, Lake Dallas; Frankie Harris, Dallas; Laura Wood, Sherman; son, George Harris, Gun Barrel City; stepson, Martin Adamson, Lewisville; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Sarah Griffin, Lewisville; other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Joe Agnes, Frank Blair, Frank Cosper, Cecil Saucedo, Norman Terry and Robert Whitlock.

David Leinbach
Services for David Singleton Leinbach, 86, Gun Barrel City, were held Jan. 11, 2004, in the Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Mike Adalian officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Moriah Memorial Park under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Leinbach was born Dec. 24, 1917, in Brewster, Ohio and died Jan. 7, 2004, in Gun Barrel City. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine and great-grandchild Nathan Price.
He was a civil engineer and veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in World War II. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in civil engineering.
He had been in Gun Barrel City since 1973 and worked for the Corps of Engineers for 32 years. He was also the first president of the East Cedar C reek Water Department.
Survivors include his wife, Katy Lou Wright Leinbach, Gun Barrel City; sons, James and his wife, Jan Leinbach, Kansas City, Mo.; Mark and his wife, Frances Wright, Vancouver, Wash.; Tom Bill and his wife, Cheree Wright, Corsicana; daughters, Diane White, Hoopeston, Ill.; Josetta and her husband, Mike Price, Buffalo; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, sister Ellen and her husband, John Burns, Saugus, Mass.; sister-in-law, Katherine Romeu, Puerto Rico.

Jessica Almaguer
Services for Jessica Lynn Almaguer, 16, Malakoff, were held Jan. 13, 2004, at the malakoff Cemetery with Bro. Arnold Walker and Bro. Ricky Scott officiating.
Almaguer was born May 26, 1987, in Commanche and died Jan. 9, 22004 at Children's Medical Center in Dallas.
She was a sophomore at Malakoff High School.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Judy and Shane Rawls, Malakoff; stepbrother, Dillon Rawls and stepsister, BriAnna Rawls, Wills Point; grandparents, Darrell and Brenda Abbott, Athens, Mike and brenda rawls, Kilgore; and Bill and Lois Strange, Tool.
Pallbearers were Ernest Smith, William Crawford, Ernest B. Smith, Cody Trammell, Benjamin Rawls, and Bobby Ficco.

Blanche Tharp
Services for Blanche Christine Ealy Tharp, 86, Kemp, were held Jan. 11, 2004, at the Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home Chapel with R.J. Stevens and Tim Stevens officiating. Interment followed in the Kemp Cemetery under the direction of Anderson Clayton Brothers Funeral Home of Kemp.
Tharp was born Nov. 7, 1917, in Kaufman County to the late Charles and Myrtle Irene Allen Ealy and died Jan. 9, 2004, at her residence. She is preceded in death by husband, Edgar Tharp on April 9, 1985, brothers, Charles Ealy and Kenneth Bartley, sister, Carrie Frances Ealy Watt, grandson, Jeffrey Thomas, granddaughter, Patricia Lynn Cline and son-in-law, Robert Harold Patterson.
She had lived in the Kemp and Arcadia area all of her life and was a member of the Kemp Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughters, Mary Rene and her husband, Glen Cline, Kaufman; Sherry Patterson, Mesquite; Elaine Collard and her husband, James, Kemp; Eloise Fortner and her husband,
Ronnie, Kemp; Nancy Smith and her husband, James, Kemp; son, Michael Tharp and his wife, Norma, Kemp; 16 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Bartley Thomas, Mabank; numerous nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.

Manuel Acevedo
Mass of Christian Burial for Manuel "Macias" Acevedo was held Jan. 13, 2004, at St. Ann Catholic Church.
Reciting of the Rosary was Jan. 12, 2004 at St. Ann Catholic Church.
Funeral directions were under the direction of Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home in Kaufman.
Acevedo was born in Zacatecas, Mexico, Dec. 23, 1946, and passed away Jan. 8, 2004, in Baylor Hospital, Dallas.
He was raised in Peeltown and moved to Kaufman and attended Kaufman schools. Later he lived in Midland for 10 l years and moved back to Kaufman in 1988.
He worked for Trinity Valley Electrical Cooperative for nine years and was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Elvira, Kaufman; sons, Stephen Acevedo, Mesquite; T.J. Acevedo and his wife, Kathy, Kaufman; Matthew Acevedo, San Antonio; and Nicholas Acevedo, Kaufman; daughters, Stephanie Jacquez and her husband, Jesse, Kaufman; Sablee Acevedo, Kaufman; step-son, Anthony Salinas, Mabank; brothers, Jessie Acevedo, Garland; and Ignacio Acevedo, Canton; sisters, Deloris Pedroza, Garland; Janie Beauchamp, Kaufman; and Rosemary Warren, Payne Springs; grandchildren, Ashlee, Casie, Russell, Jacob, Justin, Stephen, Rylie and Peyton; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Glenda Ann Thomas
Services for Glenda Ann Thomas, 50, Trinidad, were held Jan. 12, 2004, at the Tomlinson Funeral Home Chapel in Seven Points with Bro. Thurman Bailey officiating.
Burial was in Trinidad Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points.
Thomas was born April 6, 1953, in Malakoff to Henry Oliver Berry and Annie Ruth Kennon and passed away Jan. 15, 2004, in Trinidad.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Thomas, Trinidad; mother, Annie Dautel and stepfather, Jules, Austin; daughter and son-in-law, Jenifer and Brad Little, Trinidad; brothers, Johnie Ray and his wife, Marcy Berry, Lake Tawakoni; Jules "Joey" and his wife, Sandra Dautel, Austin; sisters, Brenda Lynn Dautel, Austin; Lisa Stubblefield, Decatur; Janice Vess, Denton; grandson, Jacob Little, Trinidad; stepmother, Barbara Berry, Trinidad;
Pallbearers were Rob Lilley, Brandon Dautel, cole Lilley, Billy Jack Thomas Jr., Billy Jack Thomas Sr., Scott Lilley, Tripp Spivey, and J.R. Thomas.

William Ray Fuller
William "Bill" Ray Fuller was born Nov. 29, 1935 in Blooming Grove to David and Lucreecy Morse Fuller and died Jan. 14, 2004, in Spearsville, La.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Parker-Ashworth Funeral Home of Kaufman.
He moved to Irving and later to Carrollton in 1966. In 1995 he moved to the Becker Community.
He was a police officer for the City of Carrollton and retired as a Sergeant in 1991.
He was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Kemp.
He was a past Master of Carrollton Masonic Lodge No. 1400 and a 32nd Degree Mason and the Hella Temple.
He married Clara Williams May 21, 1954, in Fort Worth.
Survivors include his wife, Clara, Kemp; son, Billy Ray Fuller and his wife, Sherry, Spearsville, La.; daughter, Nelda Kay Warnek and her husband, Chris, Kemp; brothers, Newman Fuller, Cedar Creek; Danny Fuller, Hawkins; sisters, Faye Collins, Waxahachie; Jean King, Irving; Katherine Mobley, Mineola; grandchildren, Allison, Emily, Joshua, Gordon, Tracy and Doug; great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Family requests memorials be made to the Kemp Athletic Booster Club.

Felipe Jaimes
Services for Felipe Jaimes, 46, Seven Points, were held Jan. 15, 2004, at Tomlinson Chapel, Seven Points. Burial will be in Mexico under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff.
Jaimes was born Aug. 26, 1957, in Canadas, Mexico to Eseban and Constanza Jaimes, and died Jan. 13, 2004, in Tyler.
He was a restaurant owner and was a Catholic.
Survivors include his parents, brothers, Esteban Jaimes, Kemp; and Enrique Jaimes, Mexico.

Lowell Newman
Services for Lowell Newman, Canton, were held Jan. 19, 2004, at First Baptist Church of Canton with the Revs. Charles Richardson, Jim Jordan, Pat Puckett and Lowell Bubba Newman officiating. Burial was in Haven of Memories Memorial Park, Canton, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton.
Newman was born in Mesquite to the late Alfred Lowe and Cinderella Celeste Webb Newman and died Jan. 13, 2004, in Tyler.
He was a master welder in the Houston shipyards during World War II and was an ordained deacon for 50 years.
He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Canton for the past 38 years. He was a member of the Farm Bureau where he served on the board of directors for 33 yers. He was president of the County Farm Bureau.
He was named outstanding hay producer in 1984 and agriculturist of the year in 1989.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Newman, Canton; son, Don Newman, Rockwall; daughters, Carolyn Newman Yablon, Dallas; and Beverly Newman Cox, Canton; sister, Helen House, Dallas; brother, Louis Newman, Dallas; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Pallbearers were Bubba Newman, Kent Newman, Adam Yablon, Aaron Yablon, Ashley Yablon, Joshua Warren, Jason Warren and Jamie Warren.

James Garland
Services for James Robert Garland, 61, Mabank, were held Jan. 19, 2004, at First United Methodist Church, Mabank with the Rev. Glen Blackmon and Dr. David Murph officiating. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Garland was born Jan. 17, 1942, in Casper, Wyo. to Cash and Dorothy Garland, and died Jan. 15, 2004, in Tyler. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Todd and Pat.
He graduated from TCU with a bachelor's degree in journalism and retired from General Motors Corporation as an executive in 1981 when he moved to Mabank.
He served on the Mabank ISD board, Cedar Creek Country Club board, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mabank.
His favorite activities were golfing and fishing with his sons and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Sandy; sons, Craig Robert and Matthew Cash, both of Allen; brother, Donald and his wife, Janet, Amarillo.
Family requests memorials be made to the Family Life Center, First United Methodist Church, 501 S. Third St., Mabank, TX 75147.

Felipe Jaimes
Services for Felipe Jaimes, 46, Seven Points, were held Jan. 15, 2004, at Tomlinson Chapel, Seven Points. Burial will be in Mexico under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff.
Jaimes was born Aug. 26, 1957, in Canadas, Mexico to Esteban and Constanza Jaimes, and died Jan. 13, 2004, in Tyler. He was preceded in death by his father, Esteban Jaimes.
He was a restaurant owner and was a Catholic.
Survivors include his mother, Constanza Jaimes; son, Adam Jaimes; brothers, Esteban Jaimes, Kemp; and Enrique Jaimes, Mexico.
No memorials are being requested.
