Graveside services for Carolyn Lou Drake, 52, Wells, were held April 14, 2004, at the Trinidad Cemetery with Bro. Robert Webb officiating, under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Malakoff.
Drake was born Aug. 20, 1951, to Woodrow and Evelyn Drake and passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2004, in Wells.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her sister, Frances Johnson, Malakoff; niece and spouse, Lisa and Daymon Sims, Malakoff ; and their children, Baylie and Zac.

Joseph Krull
Services for Joseph Krull, 78, Mabank, were held April 19, 2004, at St. Jude Catholic Church with Msgr. John Brennan officiating, under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Krull was born April 24, 1925, in New Brunswick, N.J., and died April 17, 2004, in Athens. He was preceded in death by his father, William Krull; mother, Katherine Lapanski; and son, Joseph J. Krull Jr.
He was in landscaping and was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a graduate and member of the football team of the Universiyt of Miami.
Survivors include his wife, Irma Krull, Mabank; daughters, Susan Reese, Mabank; Mary Riveran and husband, Glen, Prairieville; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Krull; eight grandchildren, David Nickel, Erick Krull and fiancee, Lindsley Espinosa, Lt. Joseph Nickel and girlfriend, Karla Guerra, Chelsey Reese, Christopher Doane, Jessica Doane, Stephanie Krull, Nicholas Rivera; brother, John Krull, New Brunswick, N.J.; sister, Helen Greczek, New Brunswick, N.J.

Kenneth Eddie
Services for Kenneth L. Eddie, 75, Gun Barrel City, were held April 21, 2004, at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery with the Rev. Juaqin DelHoyo officiating. Burial was in Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Eddie was born Dec. 18, 1928, in Winfield, Kans., and died April 17, 2004, in Mabank. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert B. Eddie and mother Clara (Champlin) Eddie.
Formerly of San Juan, Puerto Rico, he was a Mabank resident for 30 years. He was a pilot and loved to fly learning at age 14. He was a U.S. Army, U.S. Airforce veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Ana Eddie, Mabank; sons, Kenneth Eddie, Kalispetti, Mont.; John Paul, Rowlett; daughter, Sharon Eddie, Clayton, Wisc.; eight grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.

Shanna Girard
Memorial services for Shanna DeAnn Girard, 26, Kemp, were held April 7, 2004, at the New Hope Baptist Church in Kemp with Rev. Jim Addison officiating. Music for the service was two Vince Gill songs, "If I had My Way" and "Go Rest High On That Mountain."
Girard was born Aug. 18, 1977, in Mesquite and died April 4, 2004, in Dallas.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Louis and Winnie Jones, and great- grandfather, Floyd Jones.
Survivors include her son, Lenny Ray Kilgore III; daughter, Destany Tutson; son, Demond Tutson; mother and stepfather, Debra Ann (Jones) and Tony Iacovelli, Forney; father, Johnny Dewayne Girard, Hughes Springs; sisters, Carla Diane Morgan, Dallas; and Jennifer Lynn Nail, Kemp; brother, William Dewayne Girard, Euless; great-uncle, Eulan Jones, Kemp; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Marvin Gramly
Services for Marvin "Hottie" Gramly, 86, Gun Barrel City were held April 18, 2004, at the Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Jim Renfro officiating. Cremation was in the Cedar Creek Crematory. Arrangements were under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Gramly was born Feb. 1, 1918, in Iowa and died April 15, 2004, in Gun Barrel City.
He was a postal employee.
Survivors include his wife, Virgie "Honey" Gramly, Gun Barrel City; sons, Jerry Gramly, Frisco; and Tom Gramly, Prosper; daughter, Marlene DeRossett, Kemp; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Meta Schneiderjan, Dallas.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8900 Carpenter Frwy., Dallas, TX 752 47.

Mary M. Morgan
Mass of Christian Burial for Mary M. Morgan, Gun Barrel City, was held April 17, 2004, at the St. Jude Catholic Church in Gun Barrel City. Interment followed in the Restland Memorial Park in Dallas under the direction of Anderson Clayton Brothers, Funeral Home of Kemp.
Morgan was born Feb. 4, 1943, in Pine Bluff, Ark., to the late John W. and Sarah M. Hankins McEwen and died April 14, 2004, at her residence in Gun Barrel City.
She was registered Veterinary Technician until her retirement in 1996. She enjoyed working in her yard and taking care of her animals.
She was an avid supporter of the Cedar Creek Humane Society, Friends of Animals and the American Cancer Society.
She earned her degree from Texas Technical Institute in Waco in 1986. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Gene Morgan on Sept. 15, 2000.
Survivors include her stepchildren, Leonard Morgan, Stephanie Butts, Jeffery Morgan, Darlene Skipworth, Kimberly Leech and Pamela Maher; cousins, Catherine Roberts, Elizabeth A. Riley and James A. McEwen; numerous step-grandchildren and a host of other friends and relatives.
Pallbearers were Dr. Damon Stephen, Dr. Jim Collinsworth, David Roberts, Johnny Ballow, Jeffery Morgan and Lou Spagna.
Honorary pallbearers were Shane Kistler and Jesse Knox.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Joan Clifford
Joan Clifford, 70, Mabank, died April 11, 2004, in Athens.
Clifford was born may 29, 1933, in Van Zandt County to the late George and Mamie Ison.
She was a retired nurse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Clifford, former police chief of Quinlan; brothers, George Ray Ison, Logan Kellum, and Charlie Ison; sisters, Willadean Clay, Janie Allenball and Juanita Roberts.
Survivors include sisters, Gladys Lorrine Autry, Seagoville; and Darlene Darr Honeygrove; and stepbrother Ronnie and 33 nieces and nephews. She was loved by everyone she knew.

Henry E. Drumwright
Services for Henry E. Drumwright, 84, Cypress, were held April 24, 2004, at First United Methodist Church of Mabank with Rev. Glen Blackmon and Dr. Royce E. Riley officiating. A private graveside service followed in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Drumwright was born Dec. 1, 1919, in Wortham and died April 20, 2004, in Cypress. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille (Longbotham) Drumwright and his father, Joseph T. Drumwright.
He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1941 and served in World War II in the Submarine Service, retiring as a Captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve.
He was a registered professional engineer and served 33 years with the City of Dallas in the Public Health Department, Public Works department and Director of Building Services.
He was president of the Public Health Association of Texas; president of the Conference of Public Works Engineers, APWA; voted Public Works Man of the Year; Texas Chapter of APWA; voted one of the 10 top Public Works Men of the Year in 1977 American Public Works Association.
He retired in 1979 to Enchanted Oaks on Cedar Creek Lake and was a member of the United Methodist Church in Mabank. He was a member of the Men's Golf Association of Cedar Creek Country Club; president of the Cedar Creek Country Club Board of Directors in 1990; one term as mayor of the Town of Enchanted Oaks.
In 2002, He moved to Ainsley Court No. 31, Cypress.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Kathleen E. Drumwright, Cypress; sons, Joe A. Drumwright and wife, Mary, Houston; Mark Drumwright and wife, Randee Jo, Montgomery, Ala.; grandchildren, Josh, Jason, Kyle and Kevin Drumwright; great-grandchild, Isabel; brother, Jim Williams and wife, Julia Ann; nieces, Laura and husband, Michael; Victoria and Diana; other family members and friends.
Honorary pallbearers were Joe Barnett, John Howard, James Green, Leroy Gaffney, Jack Clemmons, Harold Buerke, Bob Burns, Robert Cummings and Frank Brundrette.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Mabank, 501 S. Third St., Mabank, TX 75147.

James R. Collard
Services for James R. Collard, 63, Lancaster, were held April 24, 2004, at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home chapel with Brother Bobby Jock officiating.
Interment followed in Wheatland Cemetery, under the direction of Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home.
Collard was born Sept. 30, 1940, in Dallas to William David and Hazel Roberta Collard Sr., and died April, 20, 2004, at Charleton Methodist Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 46 years and two great-grandchildren.
He was raised in Lancaster and worked in print shops and book binderies since the age of 14. He married Wanda Louise Lassetter Nov. 17, 1956.
Survivors include his daughters, Debra Marks and her husband, Dwight, Waxahachie; Kay Lynn Nayfa and her husband, Tim, Mississippi; sons, James Jr. and his wife, Michelle, Quinlan; Victor Sr. and his wife, Sheila, Whitney; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy Collard and his wife, Shary, Glen Heights; and Jackie Collard and his wife, Kathy, Prairieville; sisters, hazel "Sisy" Fields and husband, Willis, Lancaster; and Darlene Goodwin and husband, Charles, Waxahachie; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Thomas Wardlow
Services for Thomas "Tommy" Wardlow, 52, Gun Barrel City, were held April 22, 2004, at Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Allen Hobgood officiating.
Burial was in Moorehead-Melton Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Wardlow was born July 9, 1951, in Plainview and died April 18, 2004, in Tyler.
He was a mobile home dealer.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Joyce (Utley) Wardlow, Mabank; son, Rickey Wardlow, Mabank; daughters, Tonya Pope and husband, Paul, Mabank; Jessica Miller and husband, Chris, Mabank; mother, Ivon Ferguson, Mabank; grandchildren, Tyler Lloyd and Emily Pope, Mabank; sister, Connie Ingram and husband Jack, Plano; other relatives and host of friends.
Pallbearers, Bobby Curry, Larry Miller, Kyle Johnson, Tommy Nolan, Keith Nolan, and Bill Nolan.

Leonard Walton Jones
Services for Leonard Walton "L.W." Jones, 77, Cap City, were held April 14, 2004, at the Eubank Memorial Chapel in Mabank with longtime friend, the Rev. Wally Broyles of Chouteau, Okla. officiating. Clifton Smith Jr. brought the eulogy. Hospice Chaplain, Bro. Mickey Lofits sang L.W.'s favorite hymns.
Burial was in King Cemetery at Aley in Henderson County under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Jones was born May 8, 1926, in Scurry to Loranzo Dow Jones and Blanche Stovall Jones, and died April 12, 2004, at his home in Cap City. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, a son, Mike Smith and granddaughter, Crystal Rae Smith.
He was a mechanic all his life, but also owned and operated, with his sons Mike and Bill Smith, J&S Construction in the Mabank area for many years, before moving to Oklahoma to stay 11 years.
He returned to the Cap City area in 1987 where his health restricted his activities, but he loved his gardening and the outdoors. He was a Baptist by faith and always testified to his love of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Beth Jones, Cap City; son, Bill Smith and wife, Diane, Mabank; daughter-in-law, Robin Smith, Mabank; grandchildren, Tracy Smith, Arlington; Elizabeth Smith, Mabank; Will Smith, Mabank; Brad Smith and wife, Jenny, Malvern, Ark.; Jonathan Weishman, Jake Smith, Kenneth Smith and Caleb Smith, all of Mabank; uncle, Herman Stovall, Kemp; aunt, Ruth (Stovall) Corn, Kaufman; a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Roy Dale Thomas, Jesse Lowry, Mike Mahaffey, Larry Teague, Donald Haynie and Jamey Hammer.

Bobby Joe Everett
Services for Bobby Joe Everett, 73, Mabank, will be held at his residence at 1 p.m., Sunday, May 2, 2004. Randy Murray will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Everett was born March 2, 1931, in Ben Wheeler, and died April 23, 2004, in Gun Barrel City. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Luneau Everett; mother, Lela May (Starnes) Everett; father, William Henry Everett; numerous brothers and sisters.
He was a sheet-metal worker and retired from Hipwell Sheet Metal Co. He was a member of the Mabank Riding Club and resided in Mabank for 35 years moving here from Mesquite in 1969.
Survivors include his sons, Joe Everett and wife, Patricia, Mabank; Bobby Don Everett; Mark Anthony Everett; David Luneau and wife, Trish; Bill Campbell and wife, Colleen; daughters, Deborah Jean Glenn and husband, James; Diane Smith and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Zach Everett, Aaron Everett Robertson, Rae Ann Ratley, Julie Everett, Jenna Mae Everett, Layla Thornton, Elijah Glenn, Derek Glenn, Tracy Smith, Elizabeth Smith, William Smith and James "Jimbo" Luneau; great-grandchildren, Allen Thornton, Colton Ratley and Taylor Luneau; sister, Ruby Ashby; brother, George Everett; nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
