Burial was in Elm Grove Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek.
She was born August 17, 1918 in Kemp, and passed away July 19, 2004 in Kaufman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, T. V. Powell; her husband, Mack Farland Sapp; her father, Guy Allen McFaul; and by her mother, Cordelia (Ragsdale) McFaul.
Mrs. Sapp was a homemaker. She was a lifetime resident of the area, and a long time member of Central Baptist Church of Mabank. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, and she loved sewing and quilting.
Survivors include daughter, Janice Ballard, and husband, Kenny, Mabank; 2 grandchildren, Kevin Ballard and wife, Karla of Rockwall, and Rob Ballard of Mabank; step son, Garry Mack Sapp and wife, Kim of Prairieville; step grandson, Jason Sapp and wife, Chrysta of Prairieville; step grand-daughter, Jamie Sapp of Prairieville; step great grand-daughter, Carley Sapp; 2 brothers, Joe McFaul, Gun Barrel City, and Willard McFaul and wife, Emily of Roscoe; 2 sisters-in-law, Nelda McFaul and Dorothy McFaul; nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Kevin Ballard, Rob Ballard, Jason Sapp, Doug McFaul, Robert McFaul and Roger Groom.

Linda Taylor Bird
Services for Linda Taylor Bird, 61, of Malakoff were held July 20, 2004 at Christ United Methodist Church in Plano with the Rev. Jan Davis officiating.
Burial was at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.
She was born March 2, 1943 in Irving to Thomas J. and Bobbie Louise Ganus Taylor, and passed away July 16, 2004 in Malakoff.
She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Survivors include her husband, Victor Bird of Malakoff; daughter, Kristi Currier of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Tracy Helton of Atlanta, Ga; stepson, Kevin Bird of Malakoff; father and stepmother, Tom and Barbara Taylor of Plano; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Vicki Taylor of South Lake; grandchildren, Niki Markham, Amanda Currier, Brandon Knowles and Parker Henton; and nephew, Damon Taylor. If desired, memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation.

Donnie Joe Finley
Services for Donnie Joe Finley, 56, Mabank, were held July 17, 2004, at the Masonic Lodge on Legendary Lane in Gun Barrel City.
Finley was born Jan. 13, 1948, in Rusk County and died July 14, 2004, in Gun Barrel City. He was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow Elisha Finley, and his mother, Laura Thelma (Snider) Finley.
He was a salesman.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Finley, Mabank; daughters, Milea Menckhoff and husband, Carl, Georgia; Jennifer Holland, S.C.; grandchildren, Christopher Holland, Jimmy Holland, Hayden Holland and Connor Menckhoff; brother, Dale Finley, Carrollton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics, P.O. Box 122, Mabank, TX 75147.

Brenda Jo Lunsford
Services for Brenda Jo Lunsford, 44, Gun Barrel City, were held July 20, 2004, at Eubank Memorial Chapel in Mabank with the Rev. George Yarger officiating.
Burial was in Cedar Creek Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home Cedar Creek, Mabank.
Lunsford was born October 31, 1959, in Dallas and passed away July 17, 2004, in Tyler.
She was a homemaker, previously of Dallas County, and lived in Mabank for 18 years.
Survivors include her husband, Timothy Lunsford, Gun Barrel City; daughter Lisa Ann Smith, Mabank; mother, Delia Bass; father, Alvin Bass; two brothers, Orville Bass and Robert Bass, Carrollton; two sisters, Deloras Morman, Mabank and Norma Hinegardner, Alma, Ark.; many other relatives and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Adrian Morman, Brian Abbott, Billy Pete Walls, Dustin Morman, Stanley Morman and Michael Foster.

Alma Braddock
Services for Alma Braddock, 94, Mabank, were held July 19, 2004, at Eubank Memorial Chapel in Mabank with the Rev. Mike Adalian officiating.
Burial was in Baker Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home Cedar Creek.
Braddock was born June 25, 1910, in Seagoville, and passed away on July 18, 2004, in Kemp.
She was preceded in death by her husband, O.C. Braddock, and by her grandchild, Teressa Braddock.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Patsy Umfleet, Mabank; son, Julian Braddock, Greenville; daughter, Gwen (Braddock) Trammell, Kemp; and sister, Geraldine Elzen, Kemp; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Brad Hollowell, Michael Umfleet, Truett Hanner, Bob Eicher, Robert Trammell and Curt Benson.

Jack Royce Bynum
Services for Jack Royce Bynum, 76, Eustace, were held July 18, 2004, at Eubank Cedar Creek.
Bynum was born April 1, 1928, in Eustace, and died July 14, 2004, in Eustace.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wren Bynum, and his mother, Lillie Mae (Green) Bynum.
Bynum was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a body shop manager and lived in Eustace his entire life.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Bynum; son, Jack Lewis Bynum, Eustace; daughters, Dr. Jill Farmar, Dallas and Jane K. Bynum, Kalamazoo, MI; four grandchildren, Taylor Kromdyk, Logan Farmer, Baron Farmer and Jackson Farmer; two sisters, Redith Newman, New Mexico, and Doris Mock, Tyler; many relatives and a host of friends.

Shirley Jean Jaco Salas

Salas was born June 16, 2004, in Malakoff and died July 13, 2004, in Kemp.
Survivors include her mother, Amanda Ruth; father Jose Salas; sister, Angel Salas; grandmother, Lorene Ruth; aunt, Stephanie Cannon, Malakoff; uncle, Billy Ruth, Seven Points; and a number of great aunts and uncles.

Andy Hoffman
Graveside services for Andy Hoffman, 41, Trinidad, were held July 24, 2004, at Mankin Cemetery in Trinidad, with Milton Spears, Jr. officiating, at the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home, Seven Points.
He was born July 8, 1963 in Dallas to Jack and Billie Hoffman, and passed away July 21, 2004 in Dallas.
He is survived by his mother, Billie Hoffman, Trinidad; sister, Christy Sellers, Trinidad; sister, Teresa Gammons, Seagoville; brother, Jimmy Hoffman, Mesquite; brother, Michael Hoffman, Seattle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Zonnie Mae Fling
Services for Zonnie Mae Fling, 79, Gun Barrel City held July 23, 2004, at Eubank Memorial Chapel, Mabank with Rev. James Jacobs officiating.
Burial was at Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home.
She was born on March 21, 1925 in Dallas to Henry and Mae Branch, and passed away on July 20, 2004 in Athens.
She was a member of the Legendary Baptish Church of Gun Barrel City.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Fling; son Jay King and wife, Monica of Roswell, NM; son, Bill King and wife, Therlin of Kentucky; two grandsons, Bryson and Gerron King; friends, Alice Cothran of Dallas, Ann Tydlaska of Roswell, NM, Doris Dunlap of Oklahoma and many other family members and friends.

Mary Price Boyanton
Services for Mary Price Boyanton, 87, Kemp were held July 21, 2004, at Eubank Memorial Chapel, Mabank with Rev. Larry Cocker officiating.
Burial was in Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas, under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home.
She was born in Dallas to H.M. Price and Dona (Crawford) Price, and passed away July 19, 2004 in Tyler.
She loved sports. In the '20's, she played semi-pro softball and in the '50s became a semi-pro bowler.
She was an avid golfer and was a previous member of the DAC and Riverlake Country Club and more currently, a member of the Cedar Creek Country Club. At the age of 14, she began working for Pollack Paper Co. in Dallas.
She married Marion Hill Boyanton in the '30s and was a mother and a housewife until '63. After the death of her husband, she became a licensed florist and owner of Fleur de Lis Florist.
She subsequently worked as a floral designer with Lambert Landscaping and later became the manager of Casa Verde Gardens. She then ventured out to own and operate MPM Landscape of Dallas until retiring in 1977.
For fun, she loved to gamble at her favorite casino, the Horseshoe, with friends and family. She was also a long time member of Lakeview Christian Church of Dallas.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Boyanton Keck of Kemp; grandsons, Rodney Keck and wife, Melissa of Dayton, Jacob Keck of Nacogdoches, Cpl. Phillip Farrar, stationed in California; great grand-daughters, Victoria Lynn Keck and Cora Cheyenne Farrar; nieces, Paula Morel, Joan Miller, Shirley Breckenridge; great nieces and nephews, April Miller, Monique Miller, Chris Morel, Kevin Morel, Jack Miller, and Rick Miller.
Honorary pallbearers are members of the Mabank Volunteer Fire Department.

Ernest Henson
Services for Ernest Henson, 77, Terrell were held July 21, 2004, at Eubank Memorial Chapel in Mabank with Rev. L. D. Farmer officiating.
Burial was in Cedar Creek Memorial Park under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home.
He was born May 6, 1927 in Chillicothe, Texas and passed away July 19, 2004 in Terrell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Henson; his father, James Henson; and his mother, Effie Mae (Price) Henson.
He was a welder carpenter previously of Mabank. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in WWII. He was a member of the Beacon Hill Baptist Church of Forney.
Survivors include his son, David Henson of Kaufman; daughter, Valenda Christian of Terrell; Grandchild Crystal Tutle of Garland; 2 sisters, Virginia Richey of Corpus Christi, and Lottie Hornbeck of Federal Way, WA; nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
