John Antalek
A memorial service for John "Jack" Antalek, 101, Gun Barrel City will be announced at a later date.
Antalek was born Feb. 15, 1903, in Kuty, Czechoslovakia to Thomas and Anna (Gajda) Antalek and died Aug. 31, 2004, in Gun Barrel City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and daughter, Juanita Sosnowski.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Payne Springs and was a resident of Cedarview House where he was lovingly called the "King."
He came to the U.S. when he was three, his family settling in Binghamton, N.Y. He served in the 7th Cavalry as a saddle maker when he was 16 and was stationed near Marfa.
He married Barbara Forgash in 1923. He was employed by DuPont for many years.
Survivors include his son, Rodney and wife, Marilyn, Livonia, N.Y.; daughters, Jacqueline Antalek, Willow Springs, N.C.; and Barbara Wilson, Mabank; 15 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Frances Saltarlski, Chicago, Ill.

Ludie B. Everitt Jr.
Services for Ludie B. "Sam" Everitt Jr., 71, Warren, Ark. were held Aug. 22, 2004, at Frazer's Chapel.
Burial was in Holly Springs Cemetery near Hermitage under the direction of Frazer's Funeral Home, Warren, Ark.
Everitt was born Aug. 17, 1933, in Payne Springs to the late Ludie Bence Everitt Sr. and Floyce Holt Everitt.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy Ann Everitt.
He was a retired machine shop supervisor for Vought Aircraft with more than 33 years service.
He was a member of Hermitage Baptist Church, a Mason, Shriner, member of Warren Country Club and a U.
S. Army veteran serving in Germany.
Survivors include his wife, Madge Ivey Everitt whom he married May 10, 1958, in Dallas; sons, Clifton Everitt and spouse, Julie, Carrollton; and Kelly Everitt, Warren; brother, Norman Everitt, Eustace; sisters, Sue Wright, Farris; and Ann Stegall, Eustace; grandchildren, Emily Everitt and Tucker Everitt, both of Carrollton.
Memorials may be made to Arkansas Kidney Foundation or Hermitage Baptist Church.

Diane Dornak
Services of remembrance for Diane Dornak, 48, Irving, were held Sept. 4, 2004, at Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home Chapel in Kemp, with Bishop Richard Dotter officiating.
Interment followed at the Kemp Cemetery.
Dornak was born July 23, 1956, to Walter and Helen Wolverton Jackson and died Sept. 2, 2004, in Irving after a short and courageous battle with a brain tumor.
She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Jackson, and an niece, Teri Landrum.
She married Mike Dornak Aug. 10, 1989, in Dallas. She was a loving person whose shining personality will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She never met a child or animal she didn't like.
Survivors include her husband, Mike Dornak, Irving; mother, Helen Jackson, McKinney; sisters, Fae Landrum, Celina; Kathy Strange, Plano; brothers, Eddie Jackson, Celina; and Larry Jackson, Wylie; nieces, Carol Wohlgemuth, Andred Landrum and April Williamson; nephew, Bryan Mahaney; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Millard F. Locke
Services for Millard F. Locke, 81, Malakoff, were held Sept. 6, 2004, at the Chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points. Burial was in Black Jack Cemetery with Pastor Brother, Mike Manning officiating.
Locke was born April 28, 1923, in Ola and passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 2004.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tool since 1989 and employed by Celanese Corp. from 1946 to his retirement in 1983.
He lived in Kingsville for 43 years and then moved back to Tool.
He served as deacon for the First Baptist Church of Kingsville for 30 years.
He was a veteran of World War II serving for three years in the USMC.
Survivors include his wife, Mary M. Locke, Tool; daughters, Marsha Lyn Muskiet, Houston; Sara Beth Locke, North Carolina; son, Millard F. Lock II, Gidding; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Lee Williams, Laferia; and brother, Lloyd B. Locke, Glenrose.
Pallbearers were Jason Locke, Jeremy Locke, Jonathon Locke, Dereck Whittington, W.O. Venable and Jeff Anderson.

Gerald Oren Prater
Services for Gerald Oren Prater, 72, Kemp, were held Sept. 6, 2004, in Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Glen Blackmon officiating.
Burial was in Long Creek Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Prater was born Feb. 16, 1932, in Garden Valley and passed away Sept. 4, 2004, in Kemp.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gatha Faye Oliver, father, Thomas Oren Prater, son, Doug Prater, grandson, Jacob Ewing and sister, Louanne Turner.
He was a draftsman and veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Lynnell (Townsend) Prater, Kemp; daughter, Debbie Prater Ewing and husband, Glen, Kemp; grandsons, Read and Ryan Ewing, both of Kemp; sister, Frances Eernisse, Onalaska; mother-in-law, Dee Townsend, Mabank; brother-in-law, Jimmie Lee Townsend, Burnet; and sister-in-law, Betty Townsend, Burnet.
Family requests memorials be made to the Lords Acres Youth Program, First United Methodist Church of Mabank, 501 S. Third St., Mabank, TX 75147.

Mary Parrish Haven
Graveside services for Mary Parrish Haven were held Oct. 13, 2004, in Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth.
Haven was born Nov. 2, 1915, in Kaufman to Edna Halbert and William E. Parrish.
She was a retired homemaker who loved music, opera, her many friends and her family, including her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her great love of flowers, her many roses and gardening in general.
In her younger years, she worked at Paris Coffee Shop and Leslie's Chicken Shack and was also a florist with Balche's Flowers.
She was a member of Polytechnic Order of the Eastern Star and a longtime member of University United Methodist Church of Fort Worth, where she was a member of the Kum Duble Class. She was preceded in death by her husband, G.O. "Odell" Haven, who was a Realtor in Fort Worth for many years; her sisters, Jenny Howe and Winnie Ruth "Nellie" Burns; and her brother, Homer "Rassie" Parrish.
Survivors include her son, Timothy Parrish Haven; daughter, Jan Haven Bourne, both of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Corrina Steinman and husband, Steve, Fort Worth; David Haven and his wife, Susanne, Tennessee; and Kara Coley and husband, Michael, Mansfield; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Frank Parrish, Fort Worth; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to University United Methodist Church, 2416 W. Berry St., Fort Worth, TX 76110; Botanic Garden, Fort Worth TX, or American Heart Association; or a charity of choice.

Robert Wayne Collins
Services for Robert Wayne Collins, 52, of Malakoff, were Oct. 9, 2004 at Corley Funeral Home Chapel in Corsicana.
Collins was born April 25, 1952 in Corsicana, and passed away Oct. 6, 2004 in Malakoff.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Meryl Collins; grandfather, Roy Collins; and grandmother, Gladys Donahoe.
He was a truck driver, like all of the other Collins men.
Survivors include his sister, Sheila Miller of Malakoff; grandmother, Cassie Collins Ingram of Dallas; daughter, Kim Russell of Dallas; sons, Jason and Robby Lee Collins; aunts and uncles, Nadine and Bill Armstrong of Dallas, Neil and Thelma Donahoe of Corsicana, Jerry and Margie Donahoe of Corsicana and Margie Donahoe of Corsicana; nephew Josh Byers; niece, Lori Byers; great-nieces, Alexis and Aliyah; Diana Nix and her children; and several other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers were Oakie Young, Hector Valero, Glen Majors, Parker Majors, Martin Perez and Daman Wallace.

John Alderman
Services for John Woodrow Alderman, 83, Trinidad, were held today, Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, in the First Baptist Church in Tool with Rocky Weatherford and Mike Manning officiating.
Burial was in Mankin Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home in Seven Points.
Alderman was born Jan. 18, 1921, in Wattensaw, Ark., to John Wesley and Laura Ann Hill Alderman and died Oct. 11, 2004, at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Robert Earl Alderman and his brothers and sisters.
He worked in oilfields and retired as a Master Mechanic. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Amy, Waxahachie; son, George Milton Alderman, Trinidad; daughter, Linda Turner and husband, Bobby, Garland; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Andy Anderson, Ervin Anderson, Kenny Anderson, Bob Teel, Al Barlow and Terry LeMasters.

Betty Lois Simmons
Graveside services for Betty Lois Simmons, 70, Irving, were held at Pyle Prairie Cemetery today, Oct. 14, 2004, with the Rev. Kenneth Hensley officiating, under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home of Mabank.
Simmons was born Nov. 18, 1933, in Kaufman County and died Oct. 9, 2004, in Irving.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Elton Simmons Sr.; her mother, Letava (Unknown) Bracey; and father, Roy Bracey.
She was a homemaker. Previously of Mabank, she was a ten year resident of Irving.
Survivors include her son, Fred Elton Simmons Jr., Florida; daughters, Diane Simmons, Florida; and Sharon Simmons, Irving; sister, Ann Sutton, Mabank; brother, Kenneth Bracey, Mabank; nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.

LaVaughn Ruff
Graveside services for LaVaughn Ruff, 78, Seven Points, were held Oct. 9, 2004, at King Cemetery in Henderson County under the direction of Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home of Kemp with the Rev. Eston Williams officiating.
LaVaughn was born May 1, 1926, in Grandview to William Alvin Bailey Sr., and Ethel Mac McKnight Bailey and passed away Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, in Malakoff.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Gene Bailey and William A. Bailey Jr.
She worked as a waitress at Norma's Cafe and was baptized into the Mormon Church in Gilmer.
Survivors include her husband, Cleveland Ruff, Seven Points; daughter, Stacie Morris, Seven Points; grandchildren, Trenton Bailey and Zackary Morris, both of Seven Points; and numerous other relatives and friends.
