Memorial services for Cynthia Ann Lile, 43, Canton were held Nov. 20, 2004, at Long Creek Cemetery, Sunnyvale. Arrangements were under the direction of Hilliard Funeral Home, Van.
Mrs. Lile died Nov. 14, 2004, in Athens.
Lile was born July 12, 1961 in Forney, to the late William Albert Akin and Hazel Mae Pruitt Akin.
She worked as a cashier in retail sales. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Foster Akin.
Survivors include her children, Randy Allen Lile, Mabank; Waylon Lynn Lile, Canton; Anthony Levone Rayborn, Athens; and Kelly Renee Lile, Canton; brothers and sisters, Willie Clyde Akin, Kaufman County; Albert Bennie Akin, Mabank; Audrey Lee Akin, Mabank; Dennis Ray Akin, Ferris; Shirley Arnold, Tool; Betty Faye Seay, Alba; and Judy Akin, Merit; 6 grandchildren.

Margaret Walters
Services for Margaret Lucille Bray "Marge" Walters were held Nov. 19, 2004, at the First United Methodist Church in Mabank.
Interment was in Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, under the direction of Anderson Clayton Funeral Home in Kemp.
Walters was born Feb. 11, 1921, in Paris, Tenn, and died Nov. 16, 2004.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Morey Walters and her dear friend, Tom Griffith.
She never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Mabank. Marge and Morey were owners of Patio 118 in Dallas.
After moving to Cedar Creek Lake in 1973, they were the owners of M&M Fashions, Gun Barrel City.
Survivors include her daughters, Joyce Lucas and husband, Alex, Calif.; Melinda Van Horn and husband, John, Kemp; and Cynthia Van Pelt, Kemp; grandchildren, Connie Jones and husband, Jeff, Vicky Van Horn, Michael Van Horn and wife, Maribel; Jeffrey Van Horn and wife, Tamra; Sara Belton and husband, Robert; Melissa Van Pelt and David Van Pelt II; great-grandchildren, Brandon Van Horn, Jeffrey and Randy Jones; and Gavin Van Horn.

Bobby Joe Chamblee
Services for Bobby Joe Chamblee, 73, Canton, were held Nov. 18, 2004, at Eubank Chapel, Canton with the Rev. Bart Reddock and Rev. Steve Glosup officiating.
Interment was in Haven of Memories, Canton, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Canton.
Chamblee was born Feb. 6, 1931, in Old Bethel Community, to Riley "Dutch" Fletcher and Oma Jewel Thormahlen Chamblee and died Nov. 16, 2004, at his residence in Canton.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Earilyn Barnes Chamblee, daughter, Carolyn Chamblee, brothers, Truett Chamblee and Jamie Cain.
He was a member of the Wallace United Methodist Church and served on the board of trustees. He grew up in Old Bethel Community and attended schools at Old Bethel, Martin's Mill and Canton. He loved playing dominoes, 42 and 88 with family and friends. He played regularly at the Mabank Fire Station and the City Park of Canton.
He was vice president for six years at the Whitton Volunteer Fire Department and was awarded for his outstanding achievements in fund-raising for the station. He retired from E-Systems after 25 years as an aircraft assembler.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Lawley Chamblee, Canton; son and daughter-in-law, Nicky and Maleina Chamblee, Canton; stepsons and wives, Monty and Treon Lawley, Seagoville; Paul and Carol Lawley, Canton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roland and Sarah Chamblee, Mineola; Adrian and Alma Chamblee, Athens; Gerald Dee and Dana Beth Chamblee, Phalba; sisters and brothers-in-law, Katie and Gilbert Stout, Old Bethel; Peggy and Leon Black, Austin; and Marium Cain, Dallas; grandsons, Jason and Jeremey Chamblee and seven stepgrandchildren; and 12 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mark Chamblee, Burt Stout, Kevin Wilkerson, Jeff Lawley, Howard Walker and John West.

Patsy M. Wyatt
Services for Patsy West Wyatt, 69, Kemp, were held Nov. 17, 2004, at the Anderson Clayton Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Kemp with the Rev. Dub Henry officiating.
Interment followed in the Kemp Cemetery under the direction of Anderson Clayton Brothers Funeral Home.
Wyatt was born May 12, 1935, in Kaufman County to the late Jimmy and Ruthie Shelton West and died Nov. 14, 2004, at her residence.
She had lived in Kemp all her life and was employed by Presbyterian Hospital for more than 34 years.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons, Carroll Gene Lawson and his wife, Kim, Forney; Tommy Wyatt and his wife, Brenda, Kemp; daughters, Cheryl Lawson, Kemp; Traci Galaway and her husband, Chuck, Dallas; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; brother, William Carroll West, Terrell; and numerous nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.

Billie H. Harry
Services for Billie H. Harry, 90, Tool, were held Nov. 24, 2004, at Tomlinson Funeral Home, with George W. "Sonny" Rhea officiating. Burial was in Tool Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home, Seven Points.
Harry was born March 16, 1914, in Boswell, Okla. to the late Edward Lee Evans and Maggie Alberta Arnold, and died Nov. 22, 2004, in Kemp Care Center.
She was an accountant and member of the Eastern Star, Andrews, Texas Business and Professional Women, Andrews and the First Baptist Church in Grapevine.
Survivors include her son, Ernest Max Harry, Tool; daughter-in-law, Ida Harry, Tool; daughters, June Jacobs, Tool; Charly Berry, Grapevine; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Troy Yancey
Services for Troy Clifford "Cliff" Yancey, 79, Kemp, were held Nov. 24, 2004, in the Eubank Memorial Chapel with the Revs. J.C. Willingham, Ray Smith and Paul Capehart officiating. Interment was in High Cemetery under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Yancey was born Feb. 28, 1925, in Van Zandt County and died Nov. 22, 2004, in Dallas. He was preceded in death by his father, Louie Yancey and mother, Pearl (Robinson) Yancey.
He was a truck driver. Previously of Seagoville, he lived in Kemp for the past three years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Linda (Chaney) Yancey, Kemp; sons, Tim Yancey and wife, Terri, Mesquite; Lloyd Yancey and wife, Stacia, Dallas; daughter, Teresa Malone and husband, Mike, Dallas; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Blake Yancey, Corey Yancey, Jared Yancey, Bo Yancey, Mike Malone and Michael Asay.

Carolyn Sue Fox
Carolyn Sue Fox, 59, Mabank, died Nov. 20, 2004, in Mabank. She was born Sept. 26, 1945, in Lumberport, W.V.
Arrangements were under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
She was a homemaker and lived in Mabank most of her life.
Survivors include her son, James Fox, Mabank; sister, Lon Samynek, Painsville, Ohio; mother, Auto Lindsey, Brooklyn, Ohio; grandchildren, Tyler, Fox, Katelyn Fox and Shelby Wise.

Wallace Richard James
Services for Wallace Richard James, 75, Mabank, were held Nov. 23, 2004, at Anderson Clayton Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Kemp, with Rev. Danny Cope officiating. Interment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Seagoville.
James was born Feb. 4, 1929, in San Francisco, Calif. to Joel Palmer James and Claire Genevieve Metz James and died Nov. 20, 2004, in Kaufman.
He was a member of the Lifeline Church in Mabank.
Survivors include his wife, Clara James, Mabank; sons, Jimmy Wayne James, Hurst; Richard James, Hurst; and Bobby James, Hurst; stepson, David Cates, Rowlett; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Bill James, Sacramento, Calif.; sister, Jo Ann Hinton, Sacramento, Calif.; and many other relatives and friends.

Arvie Lee Ashton
Services for Arvie Lee "A.L." Ashton, 73, Midlothian, were held Nov. 24,2004, at Eubank Memorial Chapel, Mabank, with the Revs. Jayson Gunnels and Dale Norris officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home, Mabank.
Ashton was born Jan. 17, 1931 in Eustace to Edgar "Bud" and Marlene (Whisenant) Ashton and passed away Nov. 21, 2004, in Arlington. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Pipes Ashton; brother, Bobbie Joe; sisters, Linda Lou Ashton, Betty Ruth Ashton, Carolyn Sue Ashton and Helen Rose. He retired as a concrete contractor and enjoyed traveling the U.S. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. He touched many lives and was a devoted husband, father and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him including his dog and buddy, Daisy Mae.
Survivors include his wife, Jo; sons, David of Florida; Randy and Bobby, both of Corsicana; Michael and wife, Sheila, Mabank; Ken and wife, Debra, Eustace; Donald, Gun Barrel City; daughters, Brenda Sue Gunnels and husband, Wayne, Haslett; Kay Starnes and husband, Weldon, Dallas; stepsons, Darrel Tate and wife, Patti, Mansfield; Ronny Tate, Grand Prairie; stepdaughters, LaNita Clark, Cedar Hill; Darla Cortez and husband, Roger, Midlothian; 15 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; brothers, Bud and wife, Patsy, Trinidad; Ricky, Eustace; nieces, nephews, other family members and a host of friends.
Pallbearers were Christopher Gunnels, Dwayne Starnes, Greg Starnes, Cody Ashton, R.J. Cortez and Jordan Clark.

John R Koen
Services for John Robert "Red" Koen, 72, Kemp, were held Oct. 30, 2004, at Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Kemp, with the Rev. Stan Green officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery, Irving.
Koen was born in Dallas, Nov. 9, 1931, to the late John Thomas and Minnie Benoist Koen, and died in Greenville Oct. 27, 2004.
Koen was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Frances Koen of Tool; children, Robert and Sue Koen of Caddo Mills; David Koen, Denton; Elaine and Edward Chatterly, Gun Barrel City; Steve and Audie Elliott, Valley View; and Mike and Lisa Elliott, Paulsboro, N.J.; 17 grandchildren; brothers, David Alcott of Savannah, Ga.; and Albert James, Quinlan; sister, Linda Faye Alcott, S.C.
Pallbearers were James Caddell, Gary Caddell, Larry Caddell, Scott Stanley, Bill Scott, Ricky Scott, Robert Acres and Brian Brandeberry.

Wayne Black
Memorial services for Wayne Black, 69, Mabank, will be held at 1 p.m., Nov. 5, 2004, at the Harbor Baptist Church with the Rev. George Yarger officiating, under the direction of Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Black was born Aug. 4, 1935, in Fairfield, Mont., and died Nov. 1, 2004, in Mabank. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ida Beth (Cox) Black, father, Floyd Black and daughter, Susan Roberta Black.
He was a sheet metal mechanic. Previously of Dallas, he had lived in Mabank for 21 years.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby (Tillison) Black, Mabank; sons, Bruce Black, Lake Oswego, Ore.; Keith Black, Alberta, Mont.; Wes Black, Hawkins; and Joe Black, Mabank; daughters, Debra Bergsing, Butte, Mont.; Joan Black, Van Zandt of Irving; Pamela Laster, Mabank; and Jana Black, Mabank; brother, Gray Black, Seattle, Wash.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Phillip White
Services and burial were held for Phillip (Phil) Stanley White, Gun Barrel City, Nov. 1, 2004, at Laurel Land Funeral Home and Cemetery.
White was born Dec. 3, 1948, in Dallas and died at Presbyterian Hospital Oct. 28, 2004, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene White, and Jo Ann Medley White.
Phil was a special needs child. As such, he attended Children Incorporated, The Association of Retarded Citizens Workshop and training for Adult Retarded, all in Dallas.
Survivors include his father, Robert White; sisters, Donna Burton, Brenda Pier and husband, Chuck Pier; five nieces and nephews, four grandnephews and his extended family, sisters, Sherry Burkett, Jeri Bethune, Melinda Bailey, Melanie Mayfield and brother, Terry Penny.

John W. Rupe
Rupe was born Sept. 19, 1935 in Dallas and passed away Oct. 30, 2004 in Dallas.
John retired from the Dallas Fire Department after 31 years and Texas Instruments/Raytheon after more than 10 years.
He is survived by his wife Judy of Cedar Creek; sons Clifford Stanley, John Raymond both of Mineola; Jason English; daughters Tammy Griffith, Rhonda Waits; grandchildren, John Austin, Morgan Eatherly both of Heath; Bryanna, Georgia; Amber Carpenter, Ashley Griffith, Damon English, Dustin English, Meaghan English; and many other family and friends.
Services were held at noon Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Interment Restland Memorial Park.
