Strause
Thelma P. Strause, 84, of George West, died Sunday, March 9, 2003.
Mrs. Strause was born June 19, 1918 in Live Oak County to William F. and Dora (Grover) Pugh. She married Bob Strause on April 28, 1938 in George West. She was a homemaker and a member of St. George Catholic Church.
Mrs. Strause was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Strause, who died two years ago to the day of her passing, on March 9, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include two sons, Buddy Strause of El Paso and Ronnie Strause of George West; two daughters, Patsie Harris of Portland and Dora Jo Jungman of George West; a brother, Jimmy Pugh of George West; two sisters, Lillian Bartlett and Margaret James, both of George West; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary was recited Tuesday at Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West. Funeral Mass will be celebrated today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at St. George Catholic Church in George West with Father Joseph Olikkara officiating. Burial will follow at the George West Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Adam Strause, Ryan Harris, Scott Martin, John Slanina, Matt Jungman, David Strause, Kent Harris and Bob Strause.
Those who wish may make donations to the George West Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 1385, George West, TX 78022.

Gawlik
Agnes P. (Dworaczyk) Gawlik, 83, a longtime resident of Odessa, died Sunday, April 27, 2003, at the Hospice House in Odessa. She was born Jan. 10, 1920, in Panna Maria. She was a homemaker and a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Mrs. Gawlik was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Paul Gawlik, on April 25, 1978.
Survivors include four sons, Charles E. Gawlik and Daniel David Gawlik, both of Odessa, Ben Gawlik of Tucson, Ariz., and Robert L. Gawlik of Fort Worth; a daughter, Mary Ann Moore of Fort Worth; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the St. George Catholic Church in George West from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the same location. Interment will follow at the St. George Catholic Cemetery in George West.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice House in Odessa.
Arrangements were under the direction of Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.

Klepac
Frank Klepac, 79, of Mathis died Thursday, April 24, 2003.
Mr. Klepac was born Sept. 6, 1923, in Granger. He was in the U.S. Navy serving in World War II. He was a retired farmer and had lived in Mathis most of his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Klepac.
Survivors include a son, Bill (Jim Ann) Klepac of George West; two daughters, Patty (Sonny) Williford of Three Rivers and Janie (Ernest) Boemer of Beeville; two sisters, Mary Hybner and Elizabeth Karkoska, both of Mathis; one brother, Rudy Klepac of Clareville; and eight grandchildren, Daryn and Matthew Shaw, Ryan Williford, Cory, Shanon and Jania Boemer and Ty and Tanner Klepac.
Rosary was recited Friday, April 25, at 7 p.m. at the Dobie Funeral Home Chapel in Mathis. The funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment followed in Cenizo Hill Cemetery in Mathis.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Aguirre, Rockie Stautzenberger, Ernie Stautzenberger, Keith Laechelin, Jim Sanders and Tom Karkoska.
Arrangements were under the direction of Dobie Funeral Home, Mathis.

Liska
Angeline A. (Polasek) Liska, 93, died Thursday, April 24, 2003, in Poteet. She was born Aug. 11, 1901, to John and Annie (Haas) Polasek in Georgetown. She married Charlie Steve Liska on July 11, 1927, in Bastrop. Mrs. Liska was a homemaker and a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She had lived most of her life in Three Rivers.
Mrs. Liska was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charlie Liska; a sister, Josie Chanantez; and a granddaughter, Mary Ann Hackett.
Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth McLane of Texas City, Evelyn Papasan of Corpus Christi and Charlene (Bobby) Adams of Poteet; two sisters, Elizabeth Dozier of Euless and Paddy Shaw of Ennis; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Rosary was recited on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Galloway & Sons Chapel in Three Rivers. The funeral Mass will be celebrated today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Piotr Gajda officiating. Burial will follow at the Three Rivers Cemetery.

Boltinghouse
Jason Wade Boltinghouse, 22, of Three Rivers, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2003, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Mr. Boltinghouse was born May 2, 1981, in Corpus Christi. He attended Missouri Military Academy his sophomore year, and graduated from Three Rivers High School. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycles.
Survivors include his parents, Traci (David) Manning of Three Rivers and Charles (Cindy) Boltinghouse of Mesa, Ariz.; one brother, Jeremy (Elizabeth) Boltinghouse of Beeville; one sister, Kailin Elizabeth Boltinghouse of Three Rivers; grandparents, Hoyte and Elizabeth Gentry of Corpus Christi and Doris Dale Lewis of Topeka, Kan.; numerous aunts and uncles including Ty (Robin) Gentry of Corpus Christi; numerous cousins, including Tyler and Alyssa Gentry; and his girlfriend, Amy Rogers of Choate.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Sawyer-George Funeral Home in Corpus Christi. The funeral will be held tomorrow (Thursday) at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Pastor Ed Benick officiating. Burial will follow in Seaside Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Mario Mendez, Cody Stulting, Clay Smejkal, Olden Morgan, Luke Hardin, Chad Tischler, Jeff Spears and Johnny Palermo.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Driscoll Foundation Children’s Hospital or to one’s favorite charity.

DuBose
Grady Edward DuBose, 81, of Three Rivers, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003 in George West. Mr. DuBose was born Oct. 31, 1921, in Mineral to Roy and Nellie Mae (Malone) DuBose.
He served in the U.S. Marines and was a member of the Baptist church and VFW. He married Lahla Maguglin in Yuma, Ariz., on April 15, 1945. He was a construction worker.
Mr. DuBose was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lucille Thames.
Survivors include his wife, Lahla (Maguglin) DuBose of Three Rivers; a son, George (Virginia) DuBose of Three Rivers; a daughter, Gaye (Gene) Meyers of New Braunfels; a brother, J.D. (Dorothy) Malone of Weatherford; four grandchildren, Tracey (Barry) Baker, Shannon (Drew) Freiley and Michael and Jennifer DuBose; and a great-grandchild, Quinten Baker.
Visitation will be held today (Wednesday) from 3:30 to 9 p.m. at the Galloway & Sons Chapel in Three Rivers. The funeral will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Oakville Baptist Church in Oakville with the Rev. Tommy Stogner officiating. Organist will be Kathy Burns. Burial will follow at the Mineral Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike Younts, Bobby Younts, Michael DuBose, Barry Baker, Drew Freiley and Kevin Hagedorn.

Flood
Ethel Elizabeth Flood, 88, of George West, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003 at Christus Spohn Hospital Beeville.
Mrs. Flood was born to Thomas Harvey and Rose E. (Alcorn) Henley on July 22, 1915, in Arkansas. She was a teacher for 25 years at the Freer Elementary School in Freer. She was a member of the Church of Christ, the Daughters of the American Revolution and Texas State Teachers Association.
Mrs. Flood was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include a daughter, Dione Elizabeth Montgomery of Houston; a son, Thomas E. Flood of Freer; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nellie L. Henley of George West, Naomi Pettis of Freer and Tommie Hawthorn of Bakersfield, Calif.; and a sister-in-law, Jimmie Ruth Horton of George West.
Visitation was held Friday at the Galloway & Sons Chapel in George West. The funeral was held Saturday at the Church of Christ in George West with Michael Orr officiating. Burial followed in the George West Cemetery.

Ginn
Charles Andrew “Andy” Ginn, 39, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2003.
Mr. Ginn was born on May 10, 1964, in Beeville. He graduated from Northbrook Senior High School in Houston in 1982, where he was a member of their football team and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Survivors include his parents, Leland and Sharon Ginn of Fruita, Colo.; two brothers, Carl (Elisa) Ginn of Angleton and Clay Ginn of Lake City, Colo.; one sister, Sandra (Frank) Quintiliani of Kerrville; three nephews, Joseph, Jason and Jared Quintiliani; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in George West yesterday (Tuesday) at 10 a.m. Burial followed at the George West Cemetery. Pallbearers were Carl Ginn, Clay Ginn, Frank Quintiliani, Joseph Quintiliani, Jason Quintiliani and Jared Quintiliani.
Memorial donations may be made to the Transitional Learning Center, 1528 Postoffice Street, Galveston, TX 77550.
