Pauline Crabtree Moore
1925 - 2011
Services for Pauline Crabtree Moore, 86, were held Friday, December 30, at Lone Oak Baptist Church under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.

Bro. Robert Cook officiated with burial at Hooker Cemetery. Pallbearers were Danny Bowman, Tim Wilson, Buddy Stigall, Mike Craig, James Carter and Danny Ray Bowman.

Mrs. Moore died on December 26, 2011, at her home. She was born on February 26, 1925, in Rains County to John and Lillie Weatherford Crabtree.

On July 5, 1946, Pauline married Billy Melvin Moore in Lone Oak. She was a member of the Lone Oak Baptist Church and taught school in Bois d’Arc Community and Lone Oak for 39 years. Mrs. Moore raised race horses and had two champion horses in Lousiana.

She is survived by a son, Billy Russell Moore; daughter-in-law Alwanda Sandra Moore of Lone Oak; sister and brother-in-law Mary Pearl and Robert Land of Lone Oak; and two granddaughters, Audie Rae and Megan Mae Moore of Lone Oak.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillie Pearl Weatherford Crabtree; husband, Billy Melvin Moore; two brothers, Archie Ray and Joe Ben Crabtree; and sister, Erma Alene Suits Powell.

Rhonda Kirkpatrick Nelson
1961 - 2011
Memorial services for Rhonda Kirkpatrick Nelson, 50, of Greenville were held December 29 at the Lynch Funeral Home in Greenville with Randy Rather officiating.

Mrs. Nelson was born August 9, 1961, to Linda and James Kirkpatrick. She died December 19, 2011 in Greenville.

She will always be remembered by her big smile.

Survivors include her husband, David Nelson of Greenville; mother and stepfather, Linda and Richard McCord; father and stepmother, James and Ann Kirkpatrick of Emory; brothers, Lynn Kirkpatrick of Emory and Steve McCord of Colleyville; sister, Karolyn Robinson of Greenville; many aunts; uncles; cousins; and a host of friends.

Arrangements were under the direction of Lynch Funeral Home of Greenville.

Casey J. Weldon Jr.
1942 - 2012
Services for Casey J. Weldon Jr., 69, of Alba are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 5, at Lake Fork Baptist Church, Alba, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Perry Crisp and Bro. David Smith officiating.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings, Louisiana. Honorary pallbearers will be the Lake Fork Baptist Men’s Sunday School class.

Mr. Weldon died on Sunday, January 1, 2012, at his residence. He was born February 7, 1942, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He lived most of his life in Louisiana and was a field engineer in the oil industry.

He moved to Alba in 1995 and was a member of East Texas Woodturners Association and Lake Fork Baptist Church. He married Mary Jo McGregor Holley on January 4, 1997, at Enon Baptist Church, Alba.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Weldon of Alba; daughters and spouses, Cindy and Pete LaForet of Metairie, Louisiana, Angela Weldon of Corpus Christi, Kaylin and Kory Foster of Caleria, Alabama; stepsons and spouses, Keith and Helen Holley of Boise, Idaho, and Brent and Anne Holley of Houston; brothers and spouses, Jed and Judy Weldon of Picayune, Mississippi, and Chuck and Pat Weldon of Florida; and eight grandchildren.

Mr. Weldon was preceded in death by his father, Casey Weldon; mother, Thelma DeBoer Weldon Colvin; stepfather, James Colvin; and first wife Brenda Weldon.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until service time at the church.

Michael Dale West
1973 - 2011
Services for Michael Dale West, 38, of Golden were held Friday, December 30, at Sand Springs Baptist Church in Mineola with Bro. Robert Stovall officiating.

Burial was in Pilgrim Rest No. 2 Cemetery in Golden. Pallbearers were Joey Shelton, Jeff Martin, Walter Williams, Ricky Jones, Jason Gates and Cliff Lazenby. Honorary pallbearers were Lance Hartsell, Corey McAree, Chuck Speck and Mike Roach.

Mr. West died Tuesday, December 27, 2011, in Alba. He was born November 25, 1973, in Tyler to Ronnie and Ann Jones West. He lived all of his life in the Alba-Golden area.

He married Gerri Wright on June 27, 1992, at Pilgrim Rest No. 2 Baptist Church in Golden. He was a landman in the oil and gas industry and was a member of LifePointe Community Church of Golden.

Survivors include his wife, Gerri West of Golden; father, Ronnie West of Alba; son, Ty West of Golden; daughter, Ragen West of Golden; brother, Jody West and wife Heather of Golden; nephew, Kaden West of Golden; niece, Skyler West of Golden; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerry and Roberta Wright of Golden; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann West.

Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home of Alba.

Thelma Ray Cason
1933 - 2012
Funeral services for Thelma Ray Cason, 78, of Point were held January 22 at Clarks Chapel Church of God in Point with Rev. Nathan Bounds officiating.

Burial followed at the Lone Star Cemetery in Point.

Mrs. Cason died January 19, 2012. She was born on March 12, 1933, in Point to Dewey and Iona Briggs.

She was a homemaker and had owned and managed the Dairy Queen in Emory for many years.

Survivors include her son. Norman Cason and wife Romy of Lone Oak; daughter, Teressa Cason and husband Joe Hudgeons of Emory; sister, Oleta Rivers of Mesquite; grandchildren, Nicholas Ray Cason, Noah Ross Cason and Chelsea Rae Cason; numerous nephews; and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Marvin Briggs; and sister, Myreta McLeroy.

Kate Maldonado
2012 - 2012
A graveside service for infant Kate Maldonado of Emory was held January 17 at the Emory City Cemetery with Rev. Abraham Garcia and Father Victor Hernandez officiating.

Kate was born January 15, 2012.

She is survived by her parents, Leo and Laura Maldonado of Emory.

Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home of Emory.

Alwin Russell (A.R.) Pancake
1927 - 2012
Services for Alwin Russell (A.R.) Pancake Jr., 84, of Golden were held on Monday, January 23, at Pilgrim Rest No. 2 Baptist Church, Golden, under the direction of Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. Craig Kearby officiating.

Burial was in Golden Cemetery, Golden. Pallbearers were David Wilson, Larry Hughes, Ken Lattin, A.C. Longino, Jim Reed and Will Holland.

Mr. Pancake died on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at his residence. He was born on March 27, 1927, in Pancake to Alwin Russell and Mary Elizabeth Brim Pancake.

He married Alta Faye Wilson on December 20, 1947, in Turnersville, served in the Navy during World War II, and was the lead man on the assembly line at Vought Aeronautics in Grand Prairie for many years. Formerly of Arlington, he had lived in Golden since 1984 and was a member of Pilgrim Rest No. 2 Baptist Church, Golden.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Faye Pancake of Golden; son, Cecil Pancake and wife Julie of Murphy; daughters, Margaret Smith of Golden, and Sandra Hagan and husband Victor of Palestine; three grandchildren, Michaela Pancake, Bryan Smith and wife Tiffany, and Dennis Smith and wife Faith; and three great-grandchildren, Grace Dennehy, Joy Smith and Isaiah Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and stepfather, Cecil Sharp.

Memorials may be made to Pilgrim Rest No. 2 Baptist Church, P.O. Box 99, Golden, TX 75444.

Patty Diane (Berry) Cryer
1954 - 2012
Funeral services for Patty Diane (Berry) Cryer, 57, were held January 28 at Central Baptist Church in Lindale.

Burial followed at Cedars Memorial Gardens in Mineola.

Mrs. Cryer, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt and coach, died January 24, 2012, in Houston. She was born in Lebanon, Oregon, on August 28, 1954.

Coach Cryer graduated from Kansas State University in 1973 with a degree in education. She devoted her life to education, teaching and coaching in South Haven, Kansas, Wylie, Lindale, Mineola, Quitman and, at the time of her death, Rains ISD. She made an impact on the life of every student with whom she came in contact and touched the heart of everyone she met.

She was a wonderful mother to her sons, dedicating her life to them and their very active lives. She raised them to be strong, brave and courageous young men and they were her pride and joy.

Survivors include her sons, Austin Cryer of Mineola, Pvt. Rustin Cryer of Camp Pendleton, California; mother, Phyllis Berry of Forsyth, Missouri; sisters, Sandy Yearout, Galveston, Verna (Paul) Trealout, Lees Summit, Missouri; Jenny (Tim) Lynch, Mesa, Arizona; brother, Rusty (Lisa) Berry, Berryton, Kansas; numerous aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Berry; and her grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a fund set up by her church to assist with medical expenses and sent to Patty Cryer, c/o Central Baptist Church, P.O. Box 245, Lindale, TX 75771.

Kevin Lee Holloway
1982 - 2012
Funeral services for Kevin Lee Holloway, 29, of Point were held January 30 at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nathan Bounds officiating.

Mr. Holloway died January 26, 2012. He was born on February 14, 1982, in Victoria.
He worked in the oil industry and was a member of Clark’s Chapel Church of God in the Flats community.

Survivors include his mother, Barbara Jean Langel Parker of Point; stepfather, Robert Parker of Quinlan; son, Jayce Parker of Wills Point; brothers, Keith Parker of Emory, Stephens Jenkins of Dayton; sisters, Theresa Roach of Buffalo, Tammye Mayfield of Tyler; and grandmother, Hazel Hampton of Tyler.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Rev. Jed Hampton.

Harvey James King
1943 - 2012
Services for Harvey James King, 68, of Alba were held Thursday, January 26, at Wilson-Bartley Funeral Home Chapel, Alba, with John Ratliff officiating. Burial was in Salem Cemetery, Alba.

Mr. King died on Monday, January 23, 2012, in a Tyler hospital. He was born February 10, 1943, in Fort Worth to Harvey W. Jr. and Mada Lavina Pope King.

He earned college degrees in Spanish and English, was a teacher and taught English as a Second Language at Henrietta, Como-Pickton and Farmersville. He did mission work in Mexico and loved to take care of people. Mr. King had lived in Alba since 1986 and was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his mother, Mada Pope King of Alba; sisters and spouses, Carol and Terry Reed of Jacksboro, and Nancy and Gary Johnson of Decatur; nieces, Christy Peebles, Kelly Guererro and Misty Peña; nephews, Robert Reed Jr. and Tim Reed; cousins; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Richard King; and sister, Bonny King.
