Elizabeth “Betty” Singleton Hudson

Betty Hudson passed away in The Woodlands on Oct. 16.
She was born and raised in Beaumont and lived most of her life in Orange.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Terrell and Gertrude Adkisson; her sister, Ada Lillie Roth; her brother, Terrell Adkisson, Jr., and her husband, Otis Hudson.

Bobbye Ann Sulsar

Bobbye Ann Sulsar, 61, of Orange, died Saturday, Oct. 15, at her residence.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange.
Officiating will be the Rev. Jay Thomas of MacArthur Heights Baptist Church.

Wesley E. Jones

Wesley E. Jones of Vidor, 75, died Oct. 10, at St. Luke's Texas Heart Institute in Houston, surrounded by his immediate family, after a long battle with numerous health problems.

Clarence H. (Buddy) Bell, Jr.

Clarence H. (Buddy) Bell, Jr., 64, died after a two year struggle with cancer, on Oct. 9.
Born in Starksville, MS, son of Clarence H. and Sara Bell, he studied engineering at the University of Texas at Austin and became a mechanical engineer.

Morris P. “Sonny” Bishop, Jr.

Morris P. “Sonny” Bishop, Jr., 86, of Orange, died Tuesday, Oct. 11, at the Orange Villa Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange with the Rev. Manuel Ramirez officiating.

Makayla Elisse Tatum

Makayla Elisse Tatum, infant daughter of Darian Andrea Tatum and Ashley Lynae Welch, died Monday, Oct. 3, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date.

Callie Mae Williams

Callie Mae Williams, 93, of Orange, died Sept. 30, at St. Mary's Hospital in Port Arthur, after a short illness.
Mrs. Williams was a resident of Orange for 43 years coming from Montalba, Texas.

Rosa Marie Wright

Rosa Marie Wright, 58, of Orange, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 20, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at the Mount Olive Baptist Church, in Orange.
The Rev. Ronnie A. E. Crockett officiating.

Samuel A. “Sonny” Rhodes

The Celebration of Life for Mr. Samuel A. “Sonny” Rhodes, 88, of Orange, will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Mount Zion Baptist Church.
The Rev. C.W. Crawford is the pastor.
The Rev. Donald L. Rhodes, Sr., will deliver the homegoing message.

Fred O. “Poncho” Perkins

The Celebration of Life for Mr. Fred O. “Poncho” Perkins, 75, of Orange, will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Sparrow Funeral Home.
The Rev. Marvin Parks will officiate. Rites of Christian Burial will follow in Hollywood Community Cemetery.

Hager Max Davis

Hager Max Davis, 64, of Deweyville passed away on Friday, Oct. 21, at his residence.
He was a native of Beaumont; born on Oct. 23, 1946 to parents Maxine (Bickham) and Earnest Hager Davis.
He has been a life long resident of Deweyville and was a member of United Methodist Church of Deweyville.

James Glen Peveto

James Glen Peveto, 77, of Orange, died Sunday, Oct. 23, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, in the chapel of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in the McLewis Community.

Montez “Monty” Sohoski

Montez “Monty” Sohoski, 73, passed away Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Oakwood Manor.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

Marie Brown, 90, of Bridge City, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, at Baptist Orange Hospital.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange with the Rev. John Bickham officiating.

Margaret Ann “Peggy” Croto

Margaret Ann “Peggy” Croto was born 1933, in Keene, NH.
She was the daughter of the Charles Edward Hassett and Evelyn Lamoureaux.
She graduated from Keene High School.
She studied computer applications at Kodiak Community College.

Harry Aubrey “Blue” Risher

Harry Aubrey “Blue” Risher, 84, of Bridge City, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, at Baptist Hospital in Orange.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, Oct. 20, in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.

Gloria Chance Phillips

Gloria Chance Phillips, 61, of Orange passed away on Friday, Oct. 21, at Baptist Hospital in Orange.
She was a native and life long resident of Orange; born on Oct. 23, 1949 to parents Gladis Glorine (Willis) and Robert Lee Chance.

Krystal Reneé McCord

Krystal Reneé McCord, 32, of Orange passed away Oct. 21, in Beaumont.
She was born Nov. 2, 1978 in Orange, to Tim and Kathy (LaTour) McCord.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.

J.T. "Luke" McKay

Orange - J. T. “Luke” McKay, 85, of Orange, passed away Thursday, Oct. 20, at his residence.
Services to remember his life will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Old First Orange Baptist Church with Reverend Keith Meyers, officiating.
Military honors and interment will follow in Autumn Oaks Memorial Park in Orange.
A gathering of family and friends for a time of reflection will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, in the Slade Chapel at First United Methodist Church in Orange.
