Frances Fowler Stanton
July 27, 1935 — Feb. 21, 2003

MADISONVILLE — Memorial services for Frances Fowler Stanton, 67, of Madisonville are set for 4 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Madisonville.

The Revs. Guy Pry and Dick White will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of J.M. Day Funeral Home in Madisonville.

Mrs. Stanton died Friday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

She was born in Durham, N.C., and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a long-time Madison school board member and served as a school nurse. She established the dialysis unit in Madisonville.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. LeRoy Stanton of Madisonville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Cindy Carter and Stacy and Cliff Collard, all of Madisonville; a son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Bubba Stanton of Madisonville; three sisters, Martha McNair of Winston Salem, N.C., Ann Jones of Raleigh, N.C., and Cynthia Barnes of Durham, N.C.; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Erica Yasmine Camarillo
Jan. 7, 2003 — Feb. 22, 2003

Services for Erica Yasmine Camarillo, six weeks, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

Monsignor John McCaffrey of St. Joseph Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Bryan City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Erica died Saturday at her home.

She was born in Bryan.

Survivors include her parents, Sonia Martinez and Mario Camarillo, both of Bryan; a brother, Jorge Aguina of Bryan; a sister, Dazianna Martinez of Bryan; and her grandparents, Juan and Herlinda Camarillo of Mexico and Jose Santana Ruiz, Janie Prado and Asencion Sanchez, all of Bryan.

Chester Donald Warner
Oct. 14, 1924 — Feb. 20, 2003

Memorial services for Chester Donald Warner, 78, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Monday at the Callaway-Jones Chapel in Bryan.

Chaplain Charles Debney will officiate.

Mr. Warner died Thursday in the St. Joseph Rehabilitation Center.

He was born in San Juan, Texas, and lived in Bryan since 1983. He earned a bachelor of science degree in math and held a teaching certificate in science. He taught school in the Rio Grande Valley and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was a Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Brazos Union Lodge No. 129 AF & AM. He retired from Texaco as a computer programmer.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky Mueck.

Survivors include a son, Don A. Warner of Bryan; a sister, Anna Beth Kent of Bakersfield, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Scottish Rite Hospital, 2222 Welborn St., Dallas, Texas 75219.

Bill B. Biezenski Jr.
Dec. 16, 1948 — Feb. 22, 2003

BREMOND — Services for Bill B. Biezenski Jr., 54, of Bremond are set for 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bremond.

The Rev. Celso Yu of St. Mary’s Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Bremond Funeral Home.

A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Biezenski died Saturday at his home.

He was born in Marlin and was a lifelong resident of Bremond. He was a steel worker and cattle rancher. He graduated from Bremond High School and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Marine Reserves and was a member of the Southwest Texas Cattle Raisers Association.

Mr. Biezenski was past director of the Robertson County Fair Association and a member of the Robertson County Go Texan Committee.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael J. Biezenski.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Biezenski of Bremond; a daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Jason Pruitt of Bremond; a brother and sister-in-law, John J. and La Verne Biezenski of Perry; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Cindy Widacki and John and Denise Widacki, all of Houston; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Sharon and Jerry Poe of Katy and Susan Diaz of Pearland; his mother-in-law, Gertrude Widacki of Houston; and a granddaughter.

Raymond Goree Bracewell
Sept. 14, 1915 — Feb. 21, 2003

BEDIAS — Services for Raymond Goree Bracewell, 87, of Bedias are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at the Bedias Baptist Church.

The Rev. Jerald Brown of the Bedias Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Bedias.

Mr. Bracewell died Friday.

He was born in Bedias and was a member of the Bedias Baptist Church since 1952. He was ordained a deacon in 1940 and was a past choir director for the church. He was past president of the Bedias Civic Club, was a board member of the Bedias Cemetery Association and was the owner of the Bedias Supply Co. for over 25 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Harman Bracewell of Bedias; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gene Bracewell of Bedias and Jerry and Pat Bracewell of Houston; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jimmy Massey of Needville; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives.

Elizabeth Wood Cudd
Nov. 30, 1907 — Feb. 14, 2003

NAVASOTA — Graveside services for Elizabeth Wood Cudd, 95, of Davis, Calif., and formerly of Navasota are set for 1 p.m. Monday at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota.

The Rev. Bob Moore of St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Hempstead will officiate.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.

Mrs. Cudd died Feb. 14 in Davis.

She was born in Navasota.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Cudd.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, William “Bill” and Mary Catherine Harris of College Station; a daughter and son-in-law, Helen Harris and Ronald E. Voss of Esparto, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Billie Jarvis Messer
Feb. 8, 1954 — Feb. 20, 2003

NAVASOTA — Services for Billie Jarvis Messer, 49, of Navasota are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home in Navasota.

The Rev. Mitchell Beene of the Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Martin’s Prairie Cemetery in Keith.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to the time of the services Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Messer died Thursday at her son’s home.

She was born in Navasota and was a lifelong resident of Grimes County. She was a homemaker and graduated from Iola High School in 1973.

She was preceded in death by a son, William Joseph Messer.

Survivors include her husband, Calvin D. Messer Sr. of Navasota; two sons, Calvin D. Messer Jr. and Jeffrey Wilson Messer, both of Navasota; a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Gerry Smith of Navasota; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Don Noel and Amy Jarvis of Navasota and Danny Ray Jarvis of College Station; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Vera and Ron Humphrey of Iola, Patricia Ann Gray of Navasota and Polly Lynn Pearce of Houston; and her parents, Wilson and Audrey Jarvis of Iola.

Mary Valerian
Sept. 8, 1914 — Feb. 22, 2003

CALDWELL — Services for Mary Valerian, 88, of Caldwell are set for 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Caldwell.

The Revs. Dimitrij Colankin and Robert Herald will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Monday at the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Valerian died Saturday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

She was born in Burleson County and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Altar Society and the KJZT.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Linda Valerian of Caldwell and Jodie and Betty Valerian of Bryan; a daughter, Dorothy Muzny of Caldwell; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
