Services for Rosie Mae Franklin, 54, of College Station are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Lincoln Recreation Center.
The Rev. Ira Charles Gamble of Currie Chapel Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.. Friday at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.
Mrs. Franklin died Sunday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
Born in Grimes County, she was a lifelong resident of College Station who attended Lincoln High School. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include her six sons, Gary Allen Sweed of Houston, Lawrence Franklin, Jason Franklin and Tyrone Franklin, all of College Station, Reginald Franklin of Bryan and Charles Dewayne Franklin of Lovelady; a daughter, Dernice Munson of Bryan; seven brothers, Elijah Sweed of Bryan, Thomas Sweed of Denver, Lawrence Sweed and Elvin Carroll, both of Houston, and Eddie Sweed, Ocie Sweed and Charles Sweed, all of Washington; seven sisters, Mae Crowley of Navasota, Virginia Gamble of Arcola, Melvina Moore of College Station and Mamie Sweed, Diane Sweed, Margaret Sweed and Lue Sweed, all of Washington; 20 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Leonard Wayne Oaks

Services for Leonard Wayne Oaks, 35, of Bryan are set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at New Chapel Baptist Church in Bryan.
The Rev. Odis Harris Jr. of St. Phillips Baptist Church in Dallas will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. Friday at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.
Mr. Oaks died Tuesday in Franklin.
A lifelong resident of Bryan, Mr. Oaks was a 1985 graduate of Bryan High School. He served in the U.S. Army in 1985 to 1988 and was a member of the New Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jeremiah D. Oaks of Bryan and Byron Thompson of Hearne; three daughters, Kisha Oaks, LaTisha Wilson and Latosha Wilson, all of Bryan; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Reginald Charles and Kenelyn Oaks of Mesquite, and David Earl Oaks of Bryan; three sisters, Ivy Lynn Irvin of Jacksonville and Nita and Terri Tennell, both of Dallas; his parents, Lillian Oaks and Clinton and Dimple Suseberry, all of Bryan; and his grandmother, Ora Mae Suseberry of Bryan.
Annalyn Macik

Services for Annalyn Macik, 59, of College Station are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Hope Evangelical Free Church.
The Rev. John Gant Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Snook Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan and from 9 a.m. to the time of services Saturday at the church.
A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Macik died Wednesday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Caldwell and was a lifelong resident of College Station. She retired from Texas A&M University as a clerk with the Agriculture Extension Service after 28 years of service. Mrs. Macik was a member of the Hope Evangelical Free Church and the SPJST Lodge No. 39.
Survivors include her husband, Albert Joe Macik of College Station, two sons and daughters-in-law, Albert Edward and Terri Macik of Bryan and Adam Joe and Rebecca Macik of College Station; two brothers, Ray Wolman of Katy and Kenneth Wolman of Bryan; two sisters, Gladene Godby of Bryan and Lavone Morgan of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and one granddaughter.

Lena Wehmeyer Thane

NAVASOTA — Services for Lena Wehmeyer Thane, 92, of Navasota are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Navasota.
The Rev. Donald Kasper will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thane died Wednesday.
She was born in Anderson and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Thane. Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law, Walter Thane Jr. and wife Barbara of Navasota and Bill and Vernell Thane of Brenham; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Will and Malinda Wehmeyer, Fritz and Hannah Wehmeyer, Henry and Emma Wehmeyer and Oscar Wehmeyer; a sister-in-law, Mae Wehmeyer; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Amelia and Arthur Webster and Elnora and Freddie Schneider; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church in Navasota.
E.J. Batson

MADISONVILLE — Services for E.J. Batson, 84, of Madisonville are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church.
Bro. Johnnie Crocker and the Rev. Vaughn Tatum will officiate. Graveside services with a military honor guard will be held at the Willowhole Cemetery in North Zulch.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., and from 9 a.m. to the time of services Saturday at Madisonville Funeral Home.
Mr. Batson died Thursday.
Born in Madisonville, he lived there for more than 20 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, when he was held as a prisoner of war for 42 months during the Bataan Death March. He was a member of the Quan and of the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Batson of Madisonville; a son and daughter-in-law, Don W. Batson and wife Carrie of Marble Falls; a sister and brother-in-law, Lera and Joe Harris of Madisonville; a sister-in-law, Elna Batson of Friendswood; and two grandchildren.

Agustin S. ‘Tio’ Zambrano

HEARNE — Services for Agustin S. “Tio” Zambrano, 81, of Hearne are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hearne.
The Rev. Scott Mikkelson will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Jose Cemetery in Hearne.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Heartfield Funeral Home in Hearne. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m..
Mr. Zambrano died Thursday at Calvert Nursing Home.
He was born in Mexico and was a longtime resident of Hearne. He retired from Sparkle Ice Corp. and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hearne.
Patricia ‘Pat’ Miller

Edna Garza Garcia

Services for Edna Garza Garcia, 82, of College Station are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Monsignor John McCaffrey will officiate. Burial will be in the Bryan City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Hillier Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Mrs. Garcia died Sunday at the Colton Inn. She was born in Cravens, La., and was a retired nurse’s aide. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Reynaldo and Janie Canales of Houston; a daughter, Laura Garcia of Bryan; a brother, Angelo Garza of Bryan; three sisters, Vera Castillo and Nora Garza, both of Bryan, and Ernestine Tina Andrada of San Antonio; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dorothy Estelle Legg

Services for Dorothy Estelle Legg, 83, of Bryan are set for 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Palacios Funeral Home Chapel in Palacios.

Mrs. Legg died Monday at the Crestview Retirement Center in Bryan.
Born in Bay City, she was a former resident of Victoria who lived in Bryan for the past year and a half. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Victoria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray William Legg.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Calvin Mccormick of Victoria and Donna and Dan Beto of Bryan; a sister-in-law, Euneva Dorsey of Victoria; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
