HEREFORD -- Gabriel Brian Kelley, 17, a student, died Tuesday, April 29, 1997, in Beaumont.

Funeral: 3 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose. Burial: Brooks Cemetery in Paluxy, Texas.

Memorials: Scholarship Fund of Texas Academy of Leadership in the humanities, Lamar University, Beaumont, or to the Scholarship Fund at Hereford High School in Hereford.

Gabriel Kelley was born July 2, 1979, in Bryan. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Hereford. While attending Hereford High School, he was a member of the Mighty Maroon Band, National Honor Society and the Decathlon Team. While attending Lamar University, he was active in the Lamar University Student Government Association, was Residence Hall Association president and was active in Boy Scouting.

Survivors: Parents, Mark and Carol Kelley of McKinney; brother, Christopher Kelley of McKinney; sister, Colleen Kelley of McKinney; grandparents, Cave and Bernita Wann of Temple; grandmother, Glen Easterwood of Edinburg, Texas; three uncles; three aunts; nine cousins; and many friends.

John Paul Kosich
OCOEE, Fla. -- John Paul Kosich, 54, an airline pilot, died Saturday, March 29, 1997, at a New Jersey hospital.

Funeral was Wednesday, April 2. Burial: Woodlawn Memorial Park in Orlando, Fla.

Memorials: Aamerican Heart Association.

John Kosich was born in Bronx, New York, and had lived in Dallas and Argyle before moving to Florida in 1990.

He was an airline pilot for Braniff International Airways and a captain for Carnival Airlines. He was a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and an Air Force veteran.

Survivors: Wife, Kathleen Travis Kosich of Ocoee, Fla.; son, Brian Daniel Kosich; daughter, Jamie Allyson Kosich, both of Lewisville; stepmother, Evelyn Laza Kosich of Dallas; and three aunts.

STEPHENVILLE -- Eunice Kuehler, 93, a homemaker, died Wednesday, April 30, 1997, in Stephenville.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Brendans Catholic Church. Burial: Gardens of Memory. Rosary: 7 p.m. Friday at Stephenville Funeral Home.

Eunice Kuehler was born Dec. 16, 1903, in Jayton, Texas. She had lived in Erath County since 1936, moving from Rhineland, Texas. She was a member of St. Brendans Catholic Church of Stephenville.

Survivors: Sons, Richard Kuehler of Sinton and Charles Kuehler of Dublin, Texas; daughters, Betty Douglas of Stephenville and Eunice Weber of Peach Tree City, Ga.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great- great-grandchildren.

FORT WORTH -- Ruth Ellen Lee, 65, a homemaker, died Wednesday, April 30, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Ruth Ellen Lee was born June 6, 1931, in Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Arthur Lee Jr.; son, Phillip Edward Lee; two brothers, Floyd Freeman and Bill Freeman; and sisters, Virgie Calvert and Helen Marie Cox.

Survivors: Son, Richard Arthur Lee of St. Cloud, Fla.; daughter, Darla Lee Beene of Aledo; brothers, John Richard Freeman of Copperas Cove and Ray Freeman of Pittsburg, Okla.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Stanley W. Mabee was born Nov. 2, 1944, in Middletown, N.Y.

He had been an engineer for 30 years and was currently employed as city engineer for the city of League City. Mr. Mabee had formerly been employed with the city of Arlington and the city of Fort Worth until 1996.

Survivors: Wife, Barbara Mabee of League City; sons, Douglas T. Mabee of Childress and Andrew W. Mabee of Orange County, Calif.; mother, Mildred Mabee of Middletown, N.Y.; sister, Lynn Mabee Kummer of Middletown, N.Y.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty Mendoza was born Sept. 9, 1909, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick Cathedral. She devoted herself to her family and church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Mendoza was preceded in death by her husband, Apolonio Mendoza, and son, Rufino Mendoza Sr. Survivors: Sons, Ted Mendoza of Houston and Rudy Mendoza, Robert Mendoza and Gilbert Mendoza, all of Fort Worth; daughters, Guadalupe Mendoza, Lily Bonilla, Alice Pedrosa and Connie Rodriguez, all of Fort Worth; brother, Joe Reyna of Fort Worth; 32 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Grace Moore was a lifetime resident of Fort Worth. She was the daughter of the late Berry Allen and Mary Robinson Allen. She attended Fort Worth public schools. Mrs. Moore was a former member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, later a member of Rising Star Baptist Church. She was a member of the Alene Mosley Community Club and Southern Beauty Chapter No. 446 Order of the Eastern Star, Queen of the South No. 90 and Medji Court No. 38 Daughters of Isis Prince Hall.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie H. Moore, on Aug. 5, 1996.

Survivors: Sister, Armourgine Harrell of Los Angeles, Calif.; granddaughter, Michelle Denice Towns and husband, Jeffery Towns; great-grandchildren, Alan, Brandon and Callie Towns, all of Saint Louis, Mo.; and cousins, other relatives and friends, including Mrs. Ruby Washington, who cared for her in declining health.

Mrs. Proffer was a member of Epworth Methodist Church in Arlington and a lifetime member of the PTA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.W. Proffer.

Survivors: Son, Frank Proffer of Biloxi, Miss.; daughter, Jessie Proffer of Ocean Springs, Miss; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
