FORT WORTH -- Imogene Crownover Jackson, 46, a respiratory therapist for Plaza Medical Center East, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997, at a local hospital.

Funeral: noon Saturday at True Vine Baptist Church, 3732 Miller Ave. Burial: Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Family hour: 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Home.

Imogene Crownover Jackson was born Aug. 27, 1950, in Fort Worth.

Survivors: Son, Michael L. Jackson; parents, John Crownover and Jimmie Crownover; brothers, Dwight Crownover and Donald Ray Crownover; grandmother, Willie M. McKinney; grandson, KeAndrew Jackson; and aunts, Frankie Lee Chandler and Bessie Brown.

Virginia Jamison
DESOTO -- Virginia Jamison, 70, retired from the Veterans Administration Hospital in Beckley, W.V., exchanged her sword and shield for a crown of eternal life Monday, May 5, 1997, at an Irving hospital after a short illness.

Funeral: a celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the main sanctuary of The Potter's House Church, 6777 West Kiest Blvd. Bishops Noel Jones and Sherman Watkins will officiate. Entombment: Laurel Land Memorial Park Mausoleum in Dallas. Visitation: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.

Virginia Jamison was born June 19, 1926, in Kimberly, W.V.

A faithful child of God, her church affiliations and memberships included Mount Zion Baptist Church, Greater Emanuel Lighthouse Church in Beckley, W.V., Temple of Faith in Charleston, W.V., and The Potter's House in Dallas where her devoted son-in-law, Bishop T.D. Jakes, was her pastor.

Her precious memories will forever linger in the hearts of her surviving children and their spouses. Survivors: Children, Vernita Williams of Columbus, Ohio, Aldo Ray and his wife, Dianna Williams of Dallas, Serita Ann and her husband, Bishop T.D. Jakes of Dallas, Jimmy Darrell Jamison and his wife, Dorthea of Hampton, Va.; 10 beloved grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and extended family members.

John J. Johnson
FORT WORTH -- John J. Johnson, 57, an employee of the FWISD, died Monday, May 5, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul C.M.E. Church. Burial: Atlanta, Texas. Wake: 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rev's Funeral Parlor. Memorial service: 8 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral parlor.

John Johnson was born Sept. 3, 1939, in Atlanta, Texas. He was a member of Greater Mount Tabor Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pink Johnson and Carrie Johnson, and his sister, Elmira Body.

Survivors: Wife, Winfred A. Johnson; son, John J. Johnson Jr.; daughter, Marilyn A. Montgomery; brother, Pink Johnson Jr.; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Thomas Paul Kulaga
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Thomas Paul Kulaga, 35, an AMR passenger service agent, died Wednesday, May 7, 1997, at a Bedford hospital.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at North Richland Hills Baptist Church. Paul Paschall will officiate. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville.

Thomas Paul Kulaga was born May 22, 1961, in Fort Worth.

Survivors: Parents, Andrew and Marilyn Kulaga of North Richland Hills; brothers and their wives, Andrew David and Sue Kulaga of Tyler and Robert Mark and Mouri Kulaga of Richland Hills; three nieces; two nephews; and an uncle.

Mary Ellen Harley Lundy
DESOTO -- Mary Ellen Harley Lundy, 76, retired from civilian personnel for the Air Force, died from Alzheimer's disease Monday, May 5, 1997, in Dallas.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Fleming Chapel of Broadway Baptist Church. The Rev. Gene Thompson will officiate. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Thursday in Oak Grove Cemetery in Graham.

Memorials: Broadway Baptist Church Library.

Mary Ellen Harley Lundy was born May 18, 1920, in Graham. She was a longtime resident of Lubbock and Fort Worth. She was a faithful member of Broadway Baptist Church and its Felicia Class.

Her career was in civilian personnel at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock, Vance AFB in Enid, Okla., Carswell AFB in Fort Worth and two bases in England.

Mrs. Lundy had a spirit of adventure and loved to travel.

She volunteered during her retirement years for visiting the sick, teaching Sunday school and driving for the elderly.

The family is grateful to those at Presbyterian Village in Dallas who helped care for her during her last year.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Lillie B. Laymance; and brothers, Merle Harley, Arzel Boyce "Babe" Harley and W.B. Harley Jr.

Survivors: Sons, Michael Scott Lundy Sr. and his wife, Janice Cobb Lundy; brother, O.L. "Jack" Harley; sisters-in- law, Jewel Harley and Betsy Harley; grandchildren, Scott Lundy and his wife, Stacy, and Robin Lundy Smith and her husband, Jeff; and great-grandchild, Ashton Ellen Smith.

Lewis E. Lutz
SANSOM PARK -- Lewis E. Lutz, 71, a retired state patrolman, died Monday, May 5, 1997, at a local hospital.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Biggers Funeral Home. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Lewis E. Lutz was born Oct. 2, 1925, in Milwaukee, Wis., and had resided in the Fort Worth area since 1986. Before retiring in 1981, he was a sergeant for the Wisconsin State Patrol.

Mr. Lutz was a member of Rosen Heights Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Friendship Class. He served as bookkeeper for the Eastern Star Home from 1986 to 1990. He was an endowed member of both the North Fort Worth Chapter 684 and Tarrant Lodge 942. He was also an endowed past master of the Middleton, Wis., Masonic Lodge and an endowed past patron of Middleton Chapter 150 Order of the Eastern Star.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors: Wife, Evelyn J. Lutz of Sansom Park; sons, Daniel Lewis Lutz of Baraboo, Wis., and Larry Sibley Lutz of Madison, Wis.; daughter, Elizabeth Jane Lutz of Fort Worth; and grandchildren, Rebekah Jane Searcy, Andrew Lutz, Jared Lutz and Ellen Waters.

FORT WORTH -- Paul Marvin Manske, 36, a commercial artist, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997, at home.

Paul Manske was born April 30, 1961, in Fort Worth. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from UTA. He enjoyed photography, writing and gardening.

God looked around and saw an empty space on His wall. He put His arms around you and whispered, "Paint me something beautiful." He only picks the best.

Survivors: Mother, Ann Duke of Fort Worth; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Jo Manske of Fort Worth; grandmother, Wilfred McCarthy of Fort Worth; nephews, Tim and Ryan Manske of Fort Worth; numerous aunts and uncles; and a host of friends.

Murry W. Martin
WEATHERFORD -- Murry W. Martin, 86, retired owner of Murry W. Martin Wrecking Yard, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997, at home.

Survivors: Sons and daughters-in- law, Don and Barbara Martin of Weatherford, Paul Gene and Linda Martin of San Antonio, Murry Earl Martin and Ronald C. Martin, both of Weatherford; daughters and son-in-law, Daphne and George Peel of Weatherford and Mary and David Inman of Vancouver, Wash.; sister, Guyette Hodde of Hobbs, N.M.; 18 grandchildren; and 31 great- grandchildren.

Sterling Earl Matlock
GRANDVIEW -- Sterling Earl "Tee" Matlock, 71, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997, at a Cleburne hospital.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Grandview. Burial: Grandview Cemetery. Visitation: 1 to 5 p.m. Friday at Baker Funeral Home. Wake: 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.

Sterling Earl "Tee" Matlock was born July 18, 1925, in Grandview, the son of Frank and Myrtle Sims Matlock. He grew up in Grandview and traveled to Fort Worth to attend high school, graduating from I.M. Terrell High School.

Mr. Matlock served his country honorably in the Navy. Following his return he united in wedlock with Catherine Jones in December 1947; they shared nearly 50 years of life.

He worked many years at the old Vandervoort's plant in Fort Worth, retiring in 1969, and for nearly 10 years at the fiberglass plant in Grandview. Mr. Matlock was a longtime member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Survivors: Wife, Ceatherine Matlock of Grandview; daughter, Mattie Hewitt and her husband, Lonnie, of Grandview; grandchildren, Susie, Alfred, Lonnie Earl and Sache Hewitt; great-grandchildren, Undra Thompson, Bre'ona Hewitt, Cashia Knox and Lonnie Hewitt Jr.; cousins, Nell Wade and Edward and Katharine Matlock; and many other family members and friends.

BEDFORD -- Annie Maria Meier, 83, former executive secretary for the Town of Highland Park, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997, in Bedford.

Annie Marie Meier was born Aug. 29, 1913, in Dallas.

She helped found the Dallas Civic Opera.

Survivors: Sister, Nina Kies of San Antonio; stepson, Fred H. Meier III and his wife, Patty, of Bedford; granddaughters, Jennifer Meier and Erin Meier; and grandson, Nathan Moon.
