ARLINGTON -- Frank Samuel Cohoe, 84, a retired Exxon executive, died Friday, May 9, 1997, in Arlington.

Private service: Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Arlington.

Frank Samuel Cohoe was born July 26, 1912, in Seward, Pa. He had resided in Arlington for two years and had formerly resided in Venice, Fla. He was an executive for Exxon Oil Co. for 20 years, retiring in 1979. He was a Methodist.

Survivors: Wife, Elizabeth Mary Cohoe of Arlignton; son, Robert Frank Cohoe of San Antonio; daughter, Nancy Louise Cohoe of Arlington; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Thomas, Guy, Michael and Merri-Mindi; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Aelish and Trevor.

FORT WORTH -- Harry Dorton, 71, a retired Air Force captain and maintenance man for Horne-Barlow, died Friday, May 9, 1997, at a Fort Worth nursing home.

Harry Dorton was born Aug. 12, 1925, in Sturgon, Ky.

Survivors: Wife, Virginia Dorton of Fort Worth.

Devern Ross Gilligan
TUCSON, Ariz. -- Devern Ross Gilligan, 85, died Tuesday, April 29, 1997, in Tucson.

Burial: Rhinelander, Wis.

Memorials: the home that cared for him with such love, Elderhaven, 2501 Soldier Trail, Tucson, Ariz. 85749.

Devern Ross Gilligan was born May 1, 1911, in Rhinelander, Wis. He was known as "Colonel" to his old friend, too many of whom preceded him in death. He retired from the Army in 1963 after 30 years of highly decorated service to his country, serving under Gen. Patton as a tank company commander in Europe as well as service in the Pacific theater in World War II.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Florence Rosemark Gilligan; a son, Patrick J. Gilligan; and a sister, Lila Gilligan Guilday.

Survivors: His wife, Elsie Prenoveau Stein Gilligan of Tucson, his loving companion in his later years; his sister, Bernice Gilligan Frantz of Apple Valley, Minn.; sons, William A. Gilligan of Dallas, Texas, and Michael D. Gilligan of Fort Worth, Texas; and grandchildren, Patrick K., "Katey" G., "Maggie" L., Todd M., Michael R., Patricia "Annie" and James D. Gilligan.

Jean Hall was born in Lutisville, Mo. She was a member of Evangel Temple Assembly of God Church. A son, Robert Kelly, preceded her in death in 1992.

Survivors: Husband, Cecil Hall of Grand Prairie; son, Dr. Ronald DePriest of Grandview; brother, Homer L. Bailey of Humansville, Mo.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

James I. Hansford Sr. was born Sept. 18, 1920, in Benton, Ark. He served in the Navy as a chief petty officer and was a member and former deacon of Harvest Assembly of God Church. Mr. Hansford retired as a regional sales manager for Lustra Lighting Corp.

Survivors: His wife, Mary Hansford of Everman; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Conchita Hansford Jr. of Shawnee, Okla.; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Bob McGregor of Memphis, Tenn.; grandchildren, Michelle Shaul, Andrew McGregor, Ashley Gilliam, Zachary McGregor, Candace Hansford and Tama'ra Hamilton; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. M.H. Hansford of Jackson, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Margaret H. Harless.

Marso Hicks was born Oct. 5, 1926, in Kilgore, Texas. He was the son of John and Lola Hicks. He grew up in the Kilgore area. He united in marriage with Margene Carr in 1946 and three children blessed their union; Marcellous, Patsy and Denis.

Mr. Hicks worked in the construction industry for over 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Survivors: Son, Marcellous Hicks of Los Angeles, Calif.; daughters, Patsy Hicks and Denise Hicks Williams and husband, Curtis, all of Los Angeles, Calif.; brothers, Johnny Hicks, Cornell Hicks and Willie B. Hicks, all of Fort Worth; and sisters, Lola Smith and Estell Hicks, both of Dallas.

Bertha Hudson was born Dec. 5, 1921, in Laurel County, Ky. She was totally dedicated to her family and church, touching thousands of hearts. She never turned anyone away. She dealt with an iron fist and a compassionate heart.

Hudson of Forest Hill; sons, William Hudson and Wendell Lewis, both of Fort Worth, and Boyd Lewis of Decatur; daughters, Norma Henry of Watauga, Bonnie Fagan of Fort Worth, Debbie Taylor of Haslet and Kathy Cook Davis of Decatur; brothers, Harold Cornet, Lee Cornet and Larkin Cornet Jr., all of Connersville, Ind.; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
