NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Ronnie Bobo, 57, a truck driver, died Friday, May 9, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Graveside service: 11 a.m. Tuesday in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Shannon Rufe Show Funeral Chapel.

Memorials: Fort Worth Cancer Society.

Mr. Bobo was born Nov. 14, 1939, in Fort Worth.

Ronnie died in a local hospital from complications of cancer. He was a truck driver and former owner of a bar-b-que restaurant in Richland Hills. He was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He was preceded in death by his father, Sam Bobo and son, Chip "Ronald Gene Bobo, Jr."

He was a Baptist and a member of North Richland Hills Masonic Lodge.

Survivors: Wife, Shirley Bobo; son, J. D. Bobo; daughters, Teresa Bobo Wood, Cheryl Bobo; mother, Alta Lee Bobo; brothers, James Bobo, J. R. Bobo and wife, Jinny; sister, Melba Lee Holder and husband, Bill; granddaughter, Ashley Nicole McIntyre; and many nephews, nieces, friends and loved ones.

Travis Burrow
GRANBURY -- Travis Burrow, 94, a retired farmer, died Sunday, May 11, 1997, at a Hood County hospital.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of Christ in Thorp Spring. Burial: Thorp Spring Cemetery.

Travis Burrow was born Oct. 3, 1902, in Okra. He was a member of Thorp Spring Church of Christ, and he had lived in the area for 20 years. He had also lived in the Abilene and Midland areas.

Survivors: Sons, Bunky Burrow of Thorp Spring, and Lee Burrow of Lake Buchanan; sister, Gurtha Winkler of Belton; nine grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren and five great-great- grandchildren.

FORT WORTH -- Jorge Hernandez Cano, 24, who worked in construction, died Sunday, April 20, 1997, in Grand Prairie.

Jorge Hernandez Cano was born April 19, 1973, in Monterrey, Mexico.

James M. Carver Jr.
ARLINGTON -- James M. Carver Jr., in real estate with Century 21 Herman Boswell in Arlington, died Friday, May 9, 1997, in Arlington.

Funeral:11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home. Burial: Parkdale Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

James M. Carver Jr., son of James M. Carver Sr., and Nell Teresa Sherron, was born in Valley View. He worked for the federal government for 35 years in air traffic control before going on to a successful career with Century 21 Herman Boswell. He was a member of the board of Realtors in Arlington from 1981 to the present time. He was dynamic and charming and his interests were varied. He had a degree in fine arts from The University of Texas at Arlington, and his paintings were the only ones his wife would hang in their home. Plagued by heart problems for many years, this did not stop him from being successful in everything he did.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Menon Carver, who was his partner and friend, not only in real estate business, but in everything he did; and his beautiful daughter, Jamie Menon Carver,7. He also leaves behind three more daughters, Pamela Harper and her husband, Robert of Sherman, Connie Gates and her husband, Wade, of Lucas, Beth Montgomery of Seattle, Wash.,; and son, Gary Carver and his wife, Lagena of Nacogdoches. He also leaves behind four sisters, Dorothy Pendleton, Roy, N.M., Margaret Smith and her husband, J.D., of Santa Rosa, Calif., Betty Recer and her husband, Ervin of Mandeville, La., Janis Cook and her husband, Lawson of Midland; and a brother, Dan Carver and his wife, Bobbi of Bonham. He also leaves two brothers-in-law; several grandchildren; nephews and nieces. Special thanks to Dr. John Grammer, his physician and friend for more than 27 years, who was with him to the end.

Kathryn Elvira Penrose Gilbert was born May 2, 1906, in Penrose, Ark. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Worth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Gilbert, and her parents, W.J. and Ethyl Penrose.

Joe Paul Hoyler
CLEBURNE -- Joe Paul "Cotton" Hoyler, 89, a minister and retired painter and paper hanger, died Saturday, May 10, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Martin's Funeral Home. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth. Visitation: 7 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Joe Hoyler was born Nov. 5, 1907, in Cleburne. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Cleburne, and a member of the Mansfield Masonic Lodge for 67 years where he served as past Worshipful Master. He was active in the Handley Chapter of DeMolay serving as Chapter Dad in the 1950s. He was awarded the "Golden Trowel Award" in April 1997.

He was a Deacon of the Calvary Baptist Church in Yucca Valley, Calif., and was Pastor for the Homeless Mission in Indio, Calif., for 20 years. He became an ordained Minister in 1987, and was a very dedicated family man.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ora Myrtle Roberson Hoyler on Nov. 17, 1982.

Survivors: Wife, Viola M. Hoyler of Cleburne; son, Richard E. Hoyler of Willcox, Ariz.; daughters, Paula Graves of Overland Park, Kan. and Kaye Hathorn of Mansfield; brothers, Otho Hoyler of Everman and P.L. Hoyler of Dimmitt; seven grandchildren; stepson, Bill Evans of Moss Beach, Calif.; and stepdaughter, Patricia Paulan of Mantica, Calif.

Juan Juarez was born in Dec. 11, 1977, in Penjamillo, Michoacan, Mexico. He loved to play baseball and football, and enjoyed inviting his family and friends to his barbecues. He was liked by all and will be missed.

SANSOM PARK -- Iantha Nadine Kreutzer, 82, a retired sales clerk, died Friday, May 9, 1997, in Sansom Park.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Iantha Kreutzer was born Oct. 3, 1914, in Huntsville.

She worked as a sales clerk for the Base Exchange at Carswell Air Force Base and retired after approximately 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kenneth Kreutzer in December 1994.

Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Lewis and Margaret Kreutzer of Azle; brother, Bill Armstrong of Cisco; sisters, Louise Clark of Fort Worth, Monique Greer of Sweetwater, Peggy Schubert of Grand Prairie; grandchildren, Grace Marie Harris of Fort Worth, Laura Lee Smith of Watauga, Alice Katherine Whisman, William Christopher Kreutzer, both of Fort Worth; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hallis Marlar was born April 26, 1934, in Pecos. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, owned and operated Hal's Bar-B-Q, and loved to hunt. He also worked for Dr. Pepper Bottling Company.

Survivors: Wife, Carola Marlar of Granbury; sons, William Hal Marlar of Granbury, and David Wayne Marlar of Delaware, Ohio; mother, Maggie Marlar of Granbury; brother, Gomer Marlar of Granbury; sister, Rowena Matthews of Fort Worth; and two grandchildren.
