Carole Elaine Beasley was born Oct. 17, 1946, in Paris, Texas.

Survivors: Son, Brian Beasley of Fort Worth; daughter, Mary McPheeters of Arlington; grandchildren, Aric and Adam Swink and Brittany and Shelby McPheeters, all of Arlington; and many friends who will miss her dearly.

FORT WORTH -- Linda Kennedy Bratcher, 49, a cook at Big Daddy's Bar-B- Q, died Tuesday, May 20, 1997, at a local hospital.

Funeral: 3 p.m. Saturday at Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors. Burial: Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Family hour: 5:20 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Linda Kennedy Bratcher was born Sept. 16, 1947, in Fort Worth.

Survivors: Daughters, Sheran Slack and Dorothy Bratcher; special adopted daughter, Nicole Davis; mother, Dorothy Kennedy; brothers, Gerald Kennedy, Carlos Kennedy and Victor Kennedy; sisters, Cherlynn Kennedy and Eartha McCray; 13 grandchildren; aunt, Zenobia Gardner; and greater niece, Keara Walker.

Donald Eugene Brooks
FORT WORTH -- Donald Eugene Brooks, 50, a self-employed mechanic for more than 50 years, died Friday, May 16, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Beth- Eden Missionary Baptist Church at 3309 Wilbarger St. Burial: Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Wake: 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

"Yesterday, I was with you; today, I am absent from you; tomorrow, we'll be together again. So, for yesterday, be thankful; for today be encouraged in faith, and remember, tomorrow is just a day away, and soon we'll be face to face." Donald was born into life on July 14, 1946, to his loving parents, the late Sylvester Brooks Sr. and Faye Emma "Collins" Brooks in Fort Worth. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the True Light Baptist Church. He attended the Fort Worth public schools, graduating from I.M. Terrell High School. He later served his country with the U.S. Marines. Donald had a passion for auto mechanics and worked with his dad as a hobby. He continued the auto mechanics trade for more than 30 years as owner of several shops, the last one, Allied Auto Repair.

Survivors: Those left with precious memories: Devoted and loving friend, Sandra Herndon of Fort Worth; sons, Kenneth Brooks of Antioch, Calif., Clarence Campbell and Aaron Brooks, both of Fort Worth, Adrian Sanford of Austin and KaDell Brooks of Fort Worth; daughters, Roshun Brooks of Antioch, Calif., and LaTasha Brooks of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren; mother, Faye Emma Brooks of Fort Worth; brother, Sylvester Brooks Jr. of Fort Worth; sisters, Virginia Brooks Cummins of Longview and Carolyn Brooks Hawkins of Fort Worth; aunts, Marie Baker and Erma Floyd; uncle; James Brooks; special cousins, Abbie Stallworth and Daphne Brooks; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Christine Ross Brown was born Aug. 31, 1926, in Fort Worth. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Leonard Rowe and Lee Brown; a sister, Eloise Rowe; and a son, James E. Rowe.

Survivors: Sons, Harold Rowe, Gregory Rowe and Elwin Rowe, all of Fort Worth; daughters, Jackie Bradden, Gloria Brown, Brenda Dodd and Debra Harris; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great- grandchildren.

FORT WORTH -- Mae Richie Cannon, 72, a homemaker, died Monday, May 19, 1997, in Waxahachie.

Mae Cannon was born April 18, 1925, in Ellis County to James and Kittie Holloway Richie and was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands, S. H. Mays Jr. and Simon Cannon.

Letha Dean Cooley was born Oct. 10, 1929. She was a member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church. Mrs. Cooley was the widow of James Walker Cooley, who died Nov. 25, 1980, and was also preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Dean Cooley.

Survivors: Sons, Bobby Cooley of Burleson and David Cooley of Everman; mother, Dora Miller of Fort Worth; brother, Dan Miller of Granbury; sister, Jean Cox of Fort Worth; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arnold A. Durbin was born July 14, 1915. He was a member of Fielder Road Baptist Church. He managed seven Baptist Book Stores for more than 25 years.
