NEW BOSTON, Texas -- Mary Evelyn Goodson, 65, left this world Friday, May 30, 1997, to join her Father in Heaven.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Sandhill Cemetery in Simms.

Mary Evelyn Goodson was born Sept. 8, 1931, in Macon, Miss. She became a registered nurse in Texas, working at the Dallas VA and Harris and All Saints hospitals in Fort Worth. She became head nurse at the Postal Service's Jack Watson Station and retired 25 years later. Moving to New Boston, Mary raised emus with her late husband, Cliff, and daughter Edith.

Survivors: Daughters, Frankie Owen of Fort Worth and Edith Goodson of New Boston; brothers and sister, R.H. Shepherd of North Carolina, George Shepherd of Peoria, Ill., Herbert Shepherd of Pensacola, Fla., John Shepherd of Trinidad, Texas, Tom Shepherd of Birmingham, Ala., Warren Shepherd of Columbus, Miss., and Helen McKinney of Hope, Ark.; and two grandchildren.

Beulah Mae Hagen was born March 1, 1926, in Greensboro, N.C.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors: Husband of 29 years, G.L. "Monty" Hagen of North Richland Hills; sons, John M. Snemis and wife, Laura, of DeSoto, Remy A. Snemis and wife, Vicki, of Walnut, Calif., Lonnie Hagen and wife, Nicole, of Euless and Harvey Hagen of Richland Hills; daughter, Rita M. Fic of North Richland Hills; nine grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.

Mack Harrell
ARLINGTON -- Mack Harrell, 84, a commercial salesman for Haltom's Jewelry Manufacturing, died Monday, June 2, 1997, in Arlington.

Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home. Burial: Moore Memorial Gardens.

Mack Harrell was born May 17, 1913, in San Antonio. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

He was the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Collins, one of the pioneer families of Arlington. Mr. Harrell was active with Meals On Wheels, delivering meals to people younger than himself.

Survivors: Wife, Lucille Harrell of Arlington; daughters, Marilyn Jones and her husband, Larry, of Midlothian, Luann Hicks of Dallas, Adina Harrell of Austin and Jeanette Pickering of Dallas; brother, Bob Harrell and his wife, Ruby Lee, of Irving; nine grandchildren; and one niece.

Vincent Lavern Irvan was born April 24, 1927, in Lawton, Okla. He was an amateur radio operator.

Beatrice Mae Jones was born July 2, 1905, in Alvord. She had worked as an executive housekeeper for Holiday Inn until her retirement in 1975.

Survivors: Daughter, Betty Measles of Hurst; grandson, Stephen Measles of Oklahoma; great-grandsons, Michael Measles and Josh Measles, both of Euless; and great-granddaughter, Stephanie Pennington of DeSoto.

Marsha Jeanne LaVoie was born Nov. 28, 1939, in Dallas and had resided in Azle since 1988. She was a lifetime member of the Navy Wives Club.

Mrs. LaVoie was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Survivors: Husband, Jerrol LaVoie of Azle; sons, Paul of Washington and Randy and Kevin of Minnesota; daughters, Rebbecca of Haltom City and Adele of Wisconsin; and stepsons, Phillip of Arkansas and Christopher of Hawaii.

FORT WORTH -- Vera Galloway Ray Losli, 83, a retired secretary and seamstress, died Saturday, May 31, 1997, at a nursing home.

Memorials: Tarrant County Alzheimers Association; Central Texas Hospice.

Mrs. Losli was born Oct. 1, 1913, in Mansfield and lived in the Fort Worth area all her life. She attended Mansfield and Fort Worth schools and graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1931.

Survivors: Son, C. Don Ray and wife, Arveta of Kennedale; daughters, Delane Ray Newell and husband, David of Fort Worth and Shirley Losli Freas of Austin; stepson, Clarence L. Ray of Wells, Nev.; brother, Carl Galloway and wife, Dorothy of Houston; sisters, Roberta Brown, Irma Rawden and Loraine Thornton, all of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ellie Mc Carty was born Sept. 19, 1940, in Holyoke, Mass. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

McCarty of Arlington; daughters, Debbie Flowers and her husband, Larry, Wanda Tucker and her husband, Jimmy, all of Arlington, Patty Clark and her husband, Roger, of Fort Worth; sisters, Shirley Lovely, Jeanette Vermett, both of Holyoke, Mass.; and eight grandchildren.

Sue McKinney was born Feb. 12, 1928, in Decatur. She was an active member of Castleberry Baptist Church for 50 years. She was an engineering clerk at General Dynamics for 10 years and worked three years at Acme Brick. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and never met anyone without giving a smile, handshake or hug. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Survivors: Husband of 50 years, J.D. McKinney of River Oaks; son, Jeff Mc- Kinney of River Oaks; brothers, Ray O'Neal and his wife, Tommie, and Grady O'Neal and his wife, Sammie, all of Fort Worth; sisters, Fay Stanley and her husband, Jay, and Mae Bowling and her husband, Cecil, all of Fort Worth; and grandchildren, Ashley McKinney and Amber McKinney of River Oaks.
