FORT WORTH -- Audrey Jones Paramore, 72, who was a retired department store catalog clerk, died Sunday, June 8, 1997, in Granbury.

Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Audrey Paramore was born Dec. 23, 1924, in Fort Worth.

She worked and retired from Montgomery Wards Catalog Department.

Mrs. Paramore was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Paramore in September 1996; son, Harold Wayne Paramore in January 1990; and a granddaughter, Dove DeAnn Paramore in November 1978.

Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Karen Paramore of Granbury; sisters, Beth Marshall of Richmond, Va., Bill Averitt of Katy; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

FORT WORTH -- Waurine Parkhill, 80, an inspector, died Saturday, June 7, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Laurel Land Chapel of the Chimes. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park.

Waurine Parkhill was born Jan. 22, 1917, in Merkel. She was lifelong resident of Fort Worth. She was a member of Calvary Cathedral Church. She was with the Coca-Cola Bottling Company 35 years. She enjoyed selling jewelry at Trader's Village. She was a very giving person and was devoted to her family.

Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Barbara McCarver of Burleson and Bruce McCarver of Leonard; grandchildren, Aaron McCarver, Jennifer McCarver, and Lorin McCarver, all of Arlington.

STEPHENVILLE -- John A. Phears, 74, a work order clerk for Erath County Electric, died Saturday, June 7, 1997, in Stephenville.

Funeral: 4 p.m. Monday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Burial: Lanham Mill Cemetery in Somervell County.

Mr. Phears was born Dec. 23, 1922, and had lived in Stephenville for 46 years. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II.

FORT WORTH -- Carl L. Prather, 71, a retired parts manager for A&B Contractors Equipment Co., died Saturday, June 7, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth.

Mr. Prather was born Dec. 18, 1925, in Venus. He was a retired Air Force veteran who served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam.

Survivors: Wife, Mozelle Prather of Fort Worth; one son, Dana Prather of Fort Worth; one daughter, Carolyn and husband, Steve Bryant of Grtanbury; mother, Faye Prather of Fort Worth; one sister, Racheal Jordan of Fort Worth; four grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.

STEPHENVILLE -- Leatice Rasberry, 90, a homemaker, died Saturday, June 7, 1997, in Weatherford.

Leatice Rasberry was born April 10, 1907, in Indian Territory, Okla., and lived in Erath County most of her life. She was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ.

Survivors: Son, Robert Rasberry of Abilene; daughters, Marie Lowe and Vivian Christian, both of Stephenville, and Ruby Rahbarzare of Weatherford; sister, Lucy Naul of Stephenville; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Iva Lorraine Smith was born Sept. 12, 1912, and lived in Johnson County most of her life. She was a Methodist.

Survivors: Sons, Benny Smith of Lake Whitney and Leo H. Smith of Cleburne; and two grandchildren, Karen and Andrea Smith.

Louise Smith
FORT WORTH -- Louise Smith, 70, a homemaker, died Saturday, June 7, 1997, at a Fort Worth nursing home.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Baptist Temple, 6045 W.S. Boaz Road, in Saginaw. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.

Louise Smith was born March 15, 1927, in Hallsummit, La. Mrs. Smith was active with the Senior Citizens Group in Springtown and a very faithful member of Trinity Baptist Temple. Mrs. Smith was also a past member of the Saginaw Riding Club.

She was preceded in death by son, John E. Smith, in 1977, and sister, Alice Mayo, in 1988.

Survivors: Husband, Noah J. Smith of Springtown; sons, Rick Smith of Springtown and Dicky Smith of Aurora; daughters, Carolyn Collins and Shirley Parham, both of Saginaw; brothers, Bob Worley of Saginaw, Kenneth Worley of Fort Worth, Ray Worley of Baton Rouge, La. and Loyd Worley of Tioga; sisters, Myrtis Ortega and Carrie Aarron, both of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

BURLESON -- Lucille Stangle, 86, a retired buyer for Levine's Department Stores, died Sunday June 8, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land of Burleson Funeral Home. Burial: Burleson Memorial Park.

Lucille Stangle was born Jan. 14, 1911, in Blair, Okla.

She was a resident of Burleson 11 years and a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. She was with Levine's for 35 years before retiring in 1972. She enjoyed gardening and handwork.

Nesbitt of Borger, Paul Nesbitt of Fort Worth; grandson, Sean Nesbitt of Burleson; granddaughter, Kate Newsome; great- grandson, Thaddeus Wade Newsome, both of Fort Worth, great- granddaughter, Jami Rebecca Hahn of Burleson; and daughter-in-law, Sue Nesbitt of Burleson.

Jim L. Stanley
GRANBURY -- Jim L. Stanley, 78, a retired pest control exterminator, died Friday, June 6, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Wiley Funeral Home of Granbury. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park of Fort Worth.

Jim L. Stanley was born July 7, 1918, in Memphis. He was an Army Veteran and a Methodist.

Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, John R. and Nandra Stanley of Fort Worth; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Bob Tagg of Abilene; sister, Francis Smith of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Edward C. Stockton
FORT WORTH -- Edward C. Stockton, 85, a newspaper pressman, died Friday, June 6, 1997, at a local hospital.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oakhill Presbyterian Church. Burial: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers: Glenn Pense, Edgar Burlinson, Fred Trebing Jr., Eddie Lane, Mike Bryan and Fred Potter.

Edward C. Stockton was born Oct. 7, 1911, in Chico.

The following was written by Mr. Stockton:

"Edward C. Stockton, a retired man in charge in the pressroom for the `Star- Telegram . He was born in Chico, Texas Oct. 7, 1911 and was a graduate of Wichita Falls, Texas High School and Wichita Falls Junior College. He worked for the Times Publishing Co., Wichita Falls for 10 years and the `Star
Telegram for 32 years until his retirement in 1976. He was a member of Hemphill Heights Masonic Lodge 1164. He was currently a member of Oakhill Presbyterian Church and served as a ruling elder for Polytechnic Presbyterian Church. He was a member of International Printing and Graphic Communications Union Local 51. He was business manager of the local union for 22 years."

Survivors: Wife, Camille Stockton of Fort Worth; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Chris Stockton of Hurst; daughter, Anita Bowers of Fort Worth; sister, Zena Bacon of Amarillo; grandchildren, Rene Bowers, Eddie Bowers and his wife, Carol, Richard Stockton and his wife, Donna, Amy Sutheimer and her husband, Greg, Beth Stockton, John Ellig, Nick Ellig and his wife, Stacy, and Jana Ellig; great-grandchild, Dylan Stockton; and several nieces and nephews.

Charlotte Glynn Stouffer
FORT WORTH -- Charlotte Glynn Stouffer, 99, a medical laboratory technician and musician, died Friday, June 6, 1997, in Weatherford.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at All Saints Episcopal Church. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.

Memorials: All Saints Episcopal Church or charity of choice.

Charlotte Glynn Stouffer was born in Chippewa Falls, Wis. She had lived in Waukesha, Wisc. 32 years before moving to Fort Worth in 1954. She attended the University of Wisconsin in Superior, Wisc. where she composed the school Alma Mater and fight songs. They are still in use today.

She graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. She served in the Army during World War I as a medical technician. Her husband, Paul, preceded her in death in 1960.

She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and an accomplished musician, playing the piano, harp and organ. She was a charter member of Ridglea Country Club and played golf several times a week until age 85 when her sight began to fail. She also worked as a volunteer at All Saints Epsicopal Hospital, being honored for hundreds of hours.

Survivors: Sons, Don A. Stouffer of Waukesha, Wisc. and James G. Stouffer M.D. of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Michael Stouffer, Paul Stouffer and James Stouffer Jr., all of Fort Worth, Mary Stouffer Cole of Goldsmith, Texas, J.P. Stouffer of Boulder, Colo., Baird Stouffer of Cudahy, Wisc. and Lynn Stouffer Keuler of New Berlin, Wisc.; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Jewel Magdalene Teague
GRAND PRAIRIE -- Jewel Magdalene Teague, 82, a homemaker, died Saturday, June 7, 1997, at home.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Turnpike Church of Christ in Grand Prairie. Burial: Southland Memorial Park in Grand Prairie.

Jewel Teague was born Sept. 7, 1914, in Tioga.

She had been a member of Turnpike Church of Christ for 55 years.

Survivors: Wife, Landis Gray Teague; son and daughter-in-law, Dee and Karen Laird; sister, Lovella Hall, Hazel McHaney, Alpha Jane Clark; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
