FORT WORTH -- Lucille McKeller, 87, a laundress, died Saturday, June 7, 1997, at a local hospital.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at Greater Strangers Rest Baptist Church. Burial: Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Wake: 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.

Lucille McKeller was born Dec. 25, 1909, in Quitman. She was a member of Strangers Rest Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan McKeller.

Survivors: Daughters, Mavis McBeth, Mae Dell Mathis and Jean Evelyn Plains; brother, Robert Lloyd Grant; sisters, Ernestine Thompson, Robbie Lee Jordan and Juanita Freeman; 14 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Barbara McKelroy-Moore
SAGINAW -- Barbara Ione McKelroy- Moore, a loving, devoted family member and friend to many who was unconditional in her generosity and lived life to its fullest, died peacefully Monday, June 9, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Barbara Ione McKelroy-Moore was born Sept. 24, 1939, in Ingram. She was a bartending manager. She was a member of the Crowley Moose Lodge and the VFW Ladies' Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by two sons, Nelson Cook, in 1962, and John Bryan, in 1993.

Survivors: Children, LaDale Mire of Kingsland, Randy Karotkin of Leeds, England, and Lisa Harvey of Fort Worth; mother, Merle Burkham of Fort Worth; father, Jack T. McKelroy of Dallas; brothers, Jack McKelroy Jr. of Fort Worth and Bill Williams of Dublin; sisters, Dorothy Kuykendall of Fort Worth and Debbie Carroll of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Stephanie, Ashley, Joshua and Zechariah; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Freda Rose McQuinn was born May 26, 1916, in Bridgeport.

Noemi Mendez was born Aug. 2, 1908, in Mexico.

Mrs. Mendez worked in alterations at Monnig's Department Store for a number of years.

Survivors: Husband, Pablo Mendez of Fort Worth; son, Joe Tamez Jr. of Dallas; sister, Pompsa Amaya of Mexico; grandchildren, Gilbert Lazo, Daniel Vasquez and Cecelia Barron, all of Fort Worth; nine great-grandchildren; and nephew, Homer Marin of Fort Worth.

Vera McCoy Merritt
ARLINGTON -- Vera McCoy Merritt, 77, a homemaker, died Tuesday, June 10, 1997, in Arlington.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Thursday in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Vera Merritt was born July 2, 1919, in Wichita Falls. She was a former resident of Abilene. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard McCoy and Edgel McCoy.

Survivors: Daughters, Linda South and her husband, Roger, of Arlington, and Nancy Lozano and her husband, Raymond, of Comanche; grandchildren, Rhonda Rittenbury of Fort Worth, Christy Gonzalez of Comanche, Tammy Armitt of Arlington, Deborah Lowe of Grand Prairie, Melissa South of Arlington and David South of Grand Prairie; five great-grandchildren; two nieces; and one nephew.

ARLINGTON -- Bill Morris, 45, a mortgage banker, died Tuesday, June 10, 1997, in Arlington.

Bill Morris was born April 24, 1952, in Dallas.

He earned his B.A. degree at Texas A&M in 1974 and then completed his Masters degree at the University of Colorado. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Arlington and was a helper with Mission Arlington. He served in the Air Force as a captain from 1974-1980.

Survivors: Wife, Barbara Morris of Arlington; son, William D. Morris of Arlington, USMC Lance Corporal; daughter and son-in-law, Alace Straw and Steve Straw of York, Pa.; grandson, Joseph "Joey"; granddaughter, Megan; brother and sister-in-law, Robert D. Carl Otto was born Aug. 5, 1930, in Werchetz, Yugoslavia.

He had lived in Fort Worth since 1972. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service with the rank of technical sergeant. He served in Vietnam. He was a member of the River Oaks Lodge 1311 AF&AM. He retired from Texas Electric in 1990.

Survivors: Wife, Christa Otto of Fort Worth; son, Kevin Otto of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Tim Alt of Plano; grandchild, Kristin Alt of Plano; cousins: Joseph Keglewitsch of Bowling Green, Ohio, and Trudie Green of Forman, Ariz.; and aunt, Anna Lohrer of Forman, Ariz.

Armenious Patterson
FORT WORTH -- Armenious "Pat" Patterson, 70, a retired welder, died Saturday, June 7, 1997, at a local hospital.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Baker Funeral Home. Burial: Skyvue Memorial Garden. Visitation: 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Armenious "Pat" Patterson was born May 5, 1927, in Marshall. He was the son of Henry and Mary Elizabeth Phillips Patterson.

Armenious grew up in Marshall and attended Rosenwall school. Early in life he united with St. John Baptist Church in Marshall.

He settled in Fort Worth more than 40 years ago and worked for several years on the railroad and later was employed by McKinley Iron Works, where he was a welder more than 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Doris Jean, earlier this year and his wife, Mary Patterson.

Survivors: Sons, Alonzo Patterson of Fort Worth, Armenious Patterson Jr. of Washington and Armenious Patterson II of Fort Worth; daughters, Mary Jean Lomax of Longview and Mary Lynn Patterson of Fort Worth; stepdaughters, Evelyn Dismuke, Teris Gulley and Cecelia Minton, all of Stamps, Ark.; sisters, Margaret Scruggs of Arlington, Ruth Dorris-Johnson and Lucille Johnson, both of Fort Worth, and Earline Fannin and Hulene Nesbitt, both of Dallas; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
