FORT WORTH -- Genevieve B. Luczak, 73, a librarian, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, who retired in 1990, died Wednesday, June 18, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Genevieve Luczak was born May 3, 1924, in Milwaukee, Wis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Luczak, and her son, Ronald E. Luczak.

Survivors: Daughters, Linda Coffman of Godley and Donna Hood of Crowley; sisters, Geraldine Swanson of Elkhart, Ind., and Pat Cornish of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Missy, Christi, Michaela, Morgan and Troy; and four great- grandchildren.

Lucille Marie Martin
GRAPEVINE -- Lucille Marie Martin, 88, a retired meat packer, died Wednesday, June 18, 1997, in Grapevine.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Directors. Burial: Bourland Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Lucille Martin was born May 20, 1909, in Tarrant County. She was a lifelong resident of Grapevine and was a member of First Baptist Church of Grapevine.

Survivors: Son, James Elston of Grapevine; daughter, Billie Carr of Bowie; sister, Bulah Ferguson of Fort Worth; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Melvin L. McNutt
WHITE SETTLEMENT -- Melvin L. McNutt, 73, a retired flight line inspector, died Tuesday, June 17, 1997, at a local hospital.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of White Settlement. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.

Melvin L. McNutt was born Nov. 17, 1923, in Tupelo, Miss. He was a retired flight line inspector at General Dynamics who retired in 1991 after 45 years of service. He was a volunteer fire fighter with the city of White Settlement for 20 years and 13 of those years he held the position of fire marshall.

Mr. McNutt was a 32nd degree Mason and also a member of First Baptist Church of White Settlement.

Survivors: Wife of 50 years, Mozell McNutt of White Settlement; son, Melvin Boyd McNutt of White Settlement; daughters, Patricia Keeton and Cathey Wilson, both of White Settlement; sisters, Winnie Hathcock of White Settlement and Carol Pipes of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Tamara Fiorenza of Fort Worth, Melody McNutt of Huntsville, Ala., Garry Wilson Jr. of Fort Worth and Melvin Wilson, Gregg Keeton and Ryan Keeton, all of White Settlement; and four great-grandchildren.

GRANBURY -- Alleene Mullins, 88, a sales clerk, died Wednesday, June 18, 1997, at a local hospital.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial: Granbury Cemetery.

Alleene Mullins was born Nov. 5, 1908, in Hood County. She was a sales clerk for many years for Williams Dry Goods Store in Granbury. She had been a Granbury resident all her life.

Survivors: Cousins, Noble Smith of Van Horn, Charles Mullins of DeQueen, Ark., Colleene Bell of Los Angeles and Terrell Mullins of Buena Park, Calif.

FORT WORTH -- Travis Orum, 14, a student, died Tuesday, June 17, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Travis Orum was born Dec. 2, 1982, in Fort Smith, Ark.

Survivors: Mother, Holly Orum of Fort Worth; grandmother, Virginia Orum of Fort Worth; great-grandmother, Gladys Watson of San Antonio; and niece, Ariel Rodriguez of Fort Worth.

Zoe Elaine Teel Petersen
FORT WORTH -- Zoe Elaine Teel Petersen, our loving mother, passed away Monday, June 16, 1997, after a lengthy illness.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Central Christian Church, 3205 Hamilton at the corner of N. Bailey, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Graveside service: in Greenwood Cemetery following the funeral.

Pallbearers: Raymond L. Armstrong, Robert E. Millington DDS, George H. Millington Jr., Scott Teel Millington, Larry Howard and Jim Harris.

Honorary pallbearers: Bill O'Quin, Ed Holleman, Linville W. Rogers, Wayne Silverman, the Rev. Bert Honea and Tommy Mays.

Memorials: because of her love of animals, the family requests memorials be made to the Humane Society of North Texas, 1840 East Lancaster, Fort Worth, Texas 76103 or a charity of choice.

Zoe Elaine Teel Petersen was born July 15, 1924, to the late S. Scott and Zoe Elaine Teel. She was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth and graduated as valedictorian from Arlington Heights High School in 1941. She attended Monticello College in St. Louis, Mo.

In 1989, after 30 years of service, Zoe Elaine retired from Prudential Insurance Co. as assistant office manager.

She was an active member of Central Christian Church. She was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority, Junior League of Fort Worth, Jewel Charity Ball, Roundelay Dance Club, River Crest Country Club and the National Secretaries Association. During World War II she was a Red Cross Volunteer.

Her infectious laugh, endearing smile and giving ways will be missed by all.

"A special thanks to Renaissance Park for their special care of our mother."

Survivors: Daughter, Sualice Petersen Armstrong and her husband, Raymond L. Armstrong, of Fort Worth; son, Scott Teel Petersen and his wife, Billie Ann Petersen, of Midland; two grandsons, Scott Teel Petersen Jr. and Grant Robbins Petersen of Midland; sister, Anseth Teel Millington of Woodside, Calif; two nieces, Elaine Millington Van Grinsven and Anseth Millington Peak; and three nephews, Robert E. Millington DDS, George H. Millington Jr. and Scott Teel Millington.

Theressa W. Preble
RICHLAND HILLS -- Theressa W. Preble, 91, a retired LVN, died Sunday, June 8, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Graveside service was June 11 in Forest Park Cemetery.

Born in Tishomingo, Okla., on Sept. 17, 1905, Theressa W. Preble was the daughter of D.P. and Marie Wheeler. She married Lavelle Henry Preble on July 20, 1927, in Houston; he died in 1951. She worked at Becton's Hospital of Greenville and City County Health Clinic of Fort Worth. She was a Baptist and a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors: Daughters and sons-in- law, Patsy and Frank Pierce of Fort Worth and Val and Michael Grisham of Dike; five grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild.

Robert Earl Shrewder
GRANBURY -- Robert Earl Shrewder, 73, a retired framer, died Tuesday, June 17, 1997, in Granbury.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Memorials: American Lung Association.

Robert Earl Shrewder was born Dec. 23, 1923, in Fort Worth. He had lived in Fort Worth most of his life. He moved to Granbury in 1983 and retired in 1986 from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. after 34 years. He served in the Navy in World War II and Korea.

Survivors: Wife, Dovie Shrewder of Granbury; sister, Doris Bogard of Bedford; stepson and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Betty Henson of Granbury; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

FORT WORTH -- Harold Fitzgerald Small, 33, a cook, died Sunday, June 15, 1997, at a local hospital.

Harold Fitzgerald Small was born Jan. 23, 1964, in Palestine, Texas. He was a cook for Rosebud Cafeteria for about 15 years. He lived in Fort Worth for 31 years and was a Baptist by faith.

Survivors: Son, Jerry Mason, 17, of Fort Worth; brothers, Robert Blackshear, Charles Ray, Aaron Salone, Wilbert Small and Felix Small, all of Fort Worth, and Calvin Small of Denver; sisters, Henrietta McGruder of Denver and Doris Salone and Sandra Jeffery, both of Fort Worth; aunt and uncle, Doris Haysay and H.D. Haysay, both of Fort Worth; and a host of nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins and many friends.

CROWLEY -- Henry Albert "Bill" Smith, 67, a farmer, died Friday, June 13, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Graveside service: was at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Rose Hill Cemetery in Cleburne.

Henry Smith was born Jan. 16, 1930, in Mineola, Texas.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Reba Grant.

Survivors: Wife, Myrtle Adams Smith of Crowley; son, John A. Smith of Fort Worth; daughter, Lola F. Self of Crowley; and grandchildren, Sabrina Self, Joshua Self, Jeremy Self, Mary Smith and Matthew Smith.

MCKINNEY -- Jerry Bruce Staton, 57, a loving husband and father, passed away Sunday, June 15, 1997, in McKinney, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Jerry Bruce Staton was highly respected and admired. He will always be a tremendous inspiration to his family and many friends, for his strength, courage and will to live. Jerry was an avid fly fisherman, golfer and loved bird hunting and flying. Jerry had a distinguished career and was involved in numerous civic activities which includes 13 years with PPG Industries and president of Regal Glass, Inc. He was president of the Little League Baseball Association in Muncie, Ind., president of Boswell High School Booster Club and a life member, Saginaw, Texas, a member of the school board in Eagle Mountain, Saginaw, a member of the board of directors at Camp Carter, YMCA, Fort Worth, a member of Colonial Country Club of Fort Worth, National Glass Dealers Association and a member of Stonebridge Country Club. He was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a bachelor's degree in architecture.

Survivors: Jerry is survived by his wife, Joanna Staton of McKinney; sons, Scott Staton of Jacksonville, Fla., Todd Staton of Sanger and Eric Staton of Decatur; daughter, Kristi Evers of Tulsa, Okla.; mother, Charlotte Bradley of Evansville, Ind.; father, Vernon Staton of Hendersonville, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren.
