GLEN ROSE -- Mozelle DeMoss, 66, a retired Army master sergeant, died Tuesday, July 1, 1997, at a Glen Rose nursing center.

Graveside service: 9:30 a.m. Thursday in White Church Cemetery.

Mozelle DeMoss was born Sept. 4, 1930, in Somervell County, Texas. She was a Methodist. She lived in Glen Rose for the past 25 years. She was a member of the American Legion and the Birdwatchers. She was a former Glen Rose City Council member.

Survivors: Mother, Elizabeth Moss Myers of Glen Rose; brothers, Les Moss of Trinidad, Texas, and Dewane Moss and James Moss, both of Glen Rose; and several nieces and nephews.

Leonard K. Faulkner
LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Leonard K. Faulkner, 84, a retired sales manager, died Thursday, June 26, 1997, in Los Angeles.

Graveside service: 11 a.m. Thursday, July 3, in Tomlin Cemetery in Arlington. Memorial service and visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.

Memorials: Cook Children's Medical Center.

Leonard K. Faulkner was born Jan. 6, 1913, in Vashti, Texas.

He had been a current member of Garfield Baptist Church in Long Beach, Calif. He was a veteran of World War II. After his discharge, he attended Biola Baptist College. He received an honorary doctorate and was a minister of the Brethren Church and Baptist Church.

Mr. Faulkner was employed by Encyclopedia Britannica for 30 years.

Survivors: Wife, Lela Robinson Faulkner of Los Angeles; sister, Ruby Bell of Fort Worth; nephews, Charles and Jerry Faulkner; niece, Glenda Bailey; and cousin, Otto Faulkner.

GRAND PRAIRIE -- Helen Christine Foley, 77, a retired office manager/secretary for Bob Hughes Insurance, died Monday, June 30, 1997, at a local hospital.

Memorial service: 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church in Grand Prairie.

Helen Christine Foley was born Jan. 15, 1920, in Rotan.

Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, R.C. and Pat Lightfoot; daughters and sons-in-law, Sheila and Chris Rivera, and Peggy Ann and Bob Hughes; nine grandchildren; and five great- grandchildren.

Dorman D. Fry
FORT WORTH -- Dorman D. Fry, 80, a retired maintenance supervisor for UTA, died Monday, June 30, 1997, at a local hospital.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Bridgewood Church of Christ. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: noon to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.

Dorman D. Fry was born Oct. 16, 1916, in Reno, Ark.

He graduated from Boles Orphans Home in Quinlan in 1936 and fought in World War II in the Battle of the Bulge and in Belgium, France and Germany.

Mr. Fry was a member of Bridgewood Church of Christ and a Fort Worth resident since 1936.

Survivors: Wife of 59 years, Hazel Elizabeth Fry; sons, Robert Fry of Dallas and D.D. Fry Jr. of Fort Worth; daughter, Donna and her husband, Gorman Green, of McMinnville, Ore.; and grandchildren, Kevin Pluskey of Beaverton, Ore., and Laura Fry of the Woodlands.

Alejandro Baez Gutierrez
FORT WORTH -- Alejandro "Alex" Baez Gutierrez Sr., 40, a truck driver, died Saturday, June 28, 1997, at his sister's home.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Alejandro "Alex" Baez Gutierrez Sr. was born Jan. 23, 1957, in Mexico. He worked for Aggregate Haulers for six years.

Survivors: The mother of his children, Irma Baez of Fort Worth; son, Alejandro Baez Jr. of Fort Worth; daughter, Mireya Baez of Fort Worth; parents, Luis and Juaquina Baez of Mexico; brothers, Javier Baez and Jorge Baez, both of Mexico; sister, Virginia Madrigal of Fort Worth; and granddaughter, Alexa Victoria Baez.

George Fulisten Hogg
ARLINGTON -- George Fulisten Hogg, 82, a retired farmer, died Monday, June 30, 1997, in Arlington.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Woods Chapel Baptist Church in Arlington. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale. Visitation: Tuesday at Moore & Sons Funeral Home-Bowen Chapel.

George F. Hogg was born Oct. 2, 1914, in Palo Pinto County, Texas, to J.D. and Emma Roberts Hogg. He married Caroline Fair on Dec. 22, 1934, in Dawson County. George and Caroline farmed and he managed gins in Dawson, Martin and Gaines counties and for a time operated Denton Cobb Hardware in Seminole, Gaines County. They moved to Rayville, La., in 1978, where he worked with his son, Dell, in gin repair. In 1984, George and Caroline retired and built a lakeside home near Bullard, Texas, and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in it. George and Caroline moved to Arlington in June of 1997, two weeks prior to his death on June 30.

Mr. Hogg was an active church member and served as a deacon for 54 years in Baptist churches in Key community, Courntey, near Stanton, Ackerly, Tarzan, Welch, Seminole, Rayville, in Louisiana, and finally at Lake Palestine Baptist Church. He and Caroline had taken a special interest in and became close friends with many young pastors and youth ministers.

He was preceded in death by one grandchild and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors: Wife of 62 years, Caroline Fair Hogg of Arlington; sister, Grace Mullen of Aspermont; children, Leon of Euless, Dell of Delhi, La., and Nell of Arlington; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

AZLE -- Anne Jones, 77, a retired bookkeeper, died Tuesday, July 1, 1997, at an Azle nursing home.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Azleland Cemetery Chapel in Azle. Burial: Azleland Cemetery. Visitation: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. until the service Thursday at White's Funeral Home in Azle.

Anne Jones was born Oct. 10, 1919, in Fort Worth. She was a resident of Azle for the past 52 years. She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for various family businesses and she will be remembered as being very active in serving the Lord, caring for others and serving in her church, The Evangel Temple of Azle.

Survivors: Daughters and sons-in- law, Linda and David Cobb of Fort Worth and Lana and Dennis Buthrie of Azle; brother, Bud Brown of Azle; sister, Mary Acuff of Spokane, Wash.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Louis R. Kraniak
JOSHUA -- Louis R. Kraniak, 66, who retired as an engineer for the Texas Department of Transportation in 1995, died Sunday, June 29, 1997, at his residence.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fort Worth. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth.

Louis R. Kraniak was born June 4, 1931, in Brooklyn, N.Y.

He was a resident of Joshua for 16 years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He was a longtime sports official, active in Pony softball and baseball. He retired as an official for the Lone Star Conference and Southwest Conference for football, volleyball and basketball. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army.

Survivors: Wife, Myrtle Kraniak of Joshua; son, Andrew Kraniak of Fort Worth; stepsons, Vincent Herron of Fort Worth, Robert Marley of Indiana, Allen Marley of Denver, Colo., and Wayne Williams of Mesquite; stepdaughters, Alicia Richeson of Burleson, Irene Marley of Maryland and Debra Thomas of North Carolina; sister, Louise Hoefele of Fort Worth; 19 grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.

Charlsie V.S. Long
LINDALE -- Charlsie Vain Shirley Long, 73, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 1997, in Tyler after an extended illness.

Graveside service: Thursday in Sulphur Springs City Cemetery in Sulphur Springs. Officiating will be Tom Roberts, minister of Woodmont Church of Christ in Fort Worth, where Mrs. Long was a member.

Memorials: any hospice in lieu of flowers.

Charlsie Vain Shirley Long was born Dec. 4, 1923, in San Antonio to Nola Leissner and Charlie Wilson Shirley. She and Johnie William Long were married Feb. 14, 1946.

Mr. and Mrs. Long and their family lived in Mexia in the late 1960s and early 1970s. He was employed by Varo Inc. They moved to Batesville, Ark., and later to Tyler.

After Mr. Long's death on March 2, 1978, Mrs. Long moved to Mansfield.

Survivors: Son, Johnie R. Long and his wife, Shirley, and their children, Gail, Elaine and Keith, of Mansfield; daughter, Susan Sulser and her husband, Tony, and their children, Eric Jones and Amber Sulser of Lindale; and daughter, Sherie Carrington and her husband, Stace, and their children, Stacia Ann and Cameron William of Coppell.

Auda Mae Mageors was born Sept. 5, 1935, in Livingston, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her son, Larry Joe Breen, in 1990.
