GRANBURY -- Goldie Juanita Huffstetler, 76, a homemaker, died Tuesday, July 1, 1997, at a Granbury nursing home.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. The Rev. C.H. Jones and the Rev. Larry Dickson will officiate. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Goldie Juanita Huffstetler was born Feb. 8, 1921, in Altus, Okla. She was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church of Granbury.

Survivors: Husband, Doyle Huffstetler of Granbury; son, Gerald Duke of Belton; daughters, Evelyn O'Neal of Fort Worth, Gaylon Burdick of Burleson and Doylia Mills of Fort Worth; sister, Irene Hukill of Dry Ridge, Ky.; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many friends.

Wayne Kelley
STEPHENVILLE -- Wayne Kelley, 71, a retired employee of the Texas Department of Highways and Transportation, died Wednesday, July 2, 1997, at a Stephenville hospital.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Stephenville Funeral Home. Burial: Lingleville East End Cemetery.

Wayne Kelley was born March 31, 1926, in Lingleville.

He was a member of Lingleville Baptist Church, a founding member of the Erath County Sheriff's Posse, a 20-year member of the Stephenville Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Erath County Livestock Association.

Survivors: Wife, Benna Thornton Kelley; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Scott Umphress of Acton; mother, Ahniwa Kelley of Lingleville; sister, LaVerne Beyer of Huckabay; two step- grandchildren; and three step-great- grandchildren.

Walter C.H. Kerr
FORT WORTH -- Walter Charles Harrison Kerr, 93, a retired physician, died Wednesday, July 2, 1997, at his daughter's home in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.

Dr. Walter Kerr was born Dec. 30, 1903, in Peoria, Ill.

He was a graduate of the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine in 1933. He practiced medicine in Picher, Okla., until 1953. After moving to Fort Worth in August, 1953, he practiced medicine specializing in arthritis and rheumatology until he retired in 1983. Dr. Kerr was a member of the Tarrant County Medical Society and the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.

Dr. Kerr was a dedicated physician, loving husband and father, a member of the South Side Lions Club more than 40 years and a member of Central Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Genieve Garman Kerr.

Survivors: Daughter, Ellen Kerr and husband, Lee Unger; son, Walter C. Kerr Jr. and wife, Ann; grandsons, Walter C. Kerr III and wife, Anita, and David Kerr and wife, Lori, of Fort Worth; great- grandson, Walter C. Kerr IV of Fort Worth; and wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

FORT WORTH -- Ota B. King, 98, a homemaker, died Wednesday, July 2, 1997, at home.

Ota B. King was born Sept. 6, 1898, in Fort Worth.

Survivors: Sons, E. Calvin King Jr., Emmett Ray King and Robert Lee King, all of Fort Worth; daughter, Dorothy May Suhl of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and three great- great-grandchildren.

Vera M. Mann
NORTH CANTON, Ohio -- Vera M. Mann, 81, a retired nurse, died Wednesday, July 2, 1997, in North Canton, Ohio.

Cryptside service: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood Mausoleum.

Vera Mann was born Oct. 17, 1915, in Russellville, Ark.

She lived in Benbrook from 1956 through 1976. During that time she was president of Benbrook PTA and also served as election judge in Benbrook for many years. She moved to Dallas in 1976, then to Ohio in 1992.

Survivors: Son, Tom Mann of Wadsworth, Ohio; daughter, Barbara Stevens of Dallas; sister, Mrs. Herman Chappell of Russellville, Ark.; and grandchildren, Diana Stevens of London, England, and Laura Stevens and Sarah Stevens, both of Dallas, and Alexander Mann of Wadsworth, Ohio.

Marshall Jr., both of Fort Worth; daughters, Percilla Graves of Annapolis, Md., Jelien Bryant of Arlington, Goldie Stephens Sanders of Fort Worth, Joyce M. Anderson of Arlington, Jo Ann Gillis of Canoga Park, Calif., and Leomi Marshall of Fort Worth; brother, Norman Johnson of Baltimore; and 23 grandchildren.

Ruth McRorey was born Aug. 30, 1916, in Caddo Mills.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Merle A. McRorey.

Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Will Tressler of Weatherford; brother, Homer Tucker of Memphis, Texas; sister, Louise Carter of Normal, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.

FORT WORTH -- L.S. "Mike" Michael, 76, a retired aerospace electronics technician, died Wednesday, July 2, 1997, in Fort Worth.

L.S. "Mike" Michael was born Feb. 16, 1921, in Pikeville, Ky.

He was a resident since the late 1930s and retired form General Dynamics in the mid-1980s.

Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, John S. Michael and his wife, Donna, of Hickory Creek; brother, William Michael of Fort Worth; and grandchildren, Steven Michael and Nathan Michael.

Asa William Monzingo
COPPELL -- Asa William Monzingo, 77, a former Bowie resident, passed away Thursday, July 3, 1997, at a Lewisville hospital.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Mulkey- Mason Funeral Home. Burial: Flower Mound Cemetery. Visitation: 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Asa Monzingo was born May 7, 1920, in Hollis, Okla., to Earl and Arlie Davis Monzingo. He married Virginia Henley on Feb. 24, 1947, in Weatherford.

Mr. Monzingo served in the Army Air Forces and Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War. He retired from the military in 1962. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors: Wife, Virginia Monzingo of Coppell; daughter, Jeanette Allison of Dallas; son, William Monzingo of Coppell; brothers, Bob Allen Monzingo of California and Joe Monzingo of Washington; one grandchild; and two great- grandchildren.

Margaret Provasek was born June 28, 1927, in Fort Worth. She worked as a buyer for W.C. Stripling and also for Monnigs. She was a member of the Elks Lodge.

Survivors: Husband, Lewis A. Provasek of River Oaks; brother, Frank Deckich of Taiwan; sisters, Lois Cantrell and Marie Quain, both of Fort Worth; two nieces and three nephews.

FORT WORTH -- Michael A. Ray Jr., 18, a manager trainee, drowned Monday, June 30, 1997, in Lake Bridgeport.

Michael A. Ray Jr. was born July 23, 1978, in Tyler. He was a member of Faith Evangelistic Temple of Mansfield. He loved to read and was an excellent artist.

Survivors: His wife, Miriam Ray; parents, Michael A. and Nancy R. Ray Sr.; brother, Nekoda Ray; sisters, Claressa D. Ray and Cicely D. Ray; grandparents, Dorothy E. Ray and John and Ethel Wright; father-in-law, Hipolito Rivas; and mother-in-law, Yolanda Gomez.
