ARLINGTON -- Paul G. Grenier, 81, retired from the Air Force and an engineer in the defense industry, died Sunday, July 6, 1997, in Fort Worth.
Funeral:3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Moore & Sons Funeral Home - Bowen Road Chapel. Burial: Moore Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Grenier was born Sept. 26, 1915, in Trois Riviers, Quebec, Canada. He was a retired lieutenant colonel of the U.S. Air Force. In September 1952, he received the Soldier's Medal (highest non-combat honor), and in 1961, he received the Air Force Commendation Medal.

Veda Knighton Johnson
FORT WORTH -- Veda Knighton Johnson, 68, a retired secretary, died Friday, July 4, 1997, at her Fort Worth home.

Veda Knighton was born Aug. 16, 1928, in Humble.
She lived in the Fort Worth area beginning in 1962, and worked as a secretary for Acme Brick Company and Moncrief Oil Company for several years. In later years she was a store manager for Circle K Convenience Stores and was very devoted to her family.

Keith Hayes Kahle
FORT WORTH -- Keith Hayes Kahle, 87, a retired airline owner, died Friday, July 4, 1997, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at Travis Avenue Baptist Church. Entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum.

Keith Hayes Kahle was born Sept. 25, 1909, in Sistersville, W. Va. to Dr. Charles Edgar and Elizabeth Blanch Kahle and was reared in his beloved Oklahoma in Dunwright, Norman and Oklahoma City.
Keith will be remembered by those who knew him and those who just met him as a man with a smile, a handshake and a "hello friend." Combining a lifetime love of journalism and aviation, Keith began his career as an aviation columnist for `The Daily Oklahoman' and as publisher of a newsletter he called `The Taxi Strip' . During one summer, he worked on the dirigibles Akron and Macon. He graduated from Iowa State University in 1932 with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering and minors in industrial management and journalism. Keith was a member of Beta Theta Pi and Sigma Delta Chi Journalism fraternity. He was also editor of his college's annual and the engineering school's magazine. He proudly served as a major in the Civil Air Patrol during World War II.
With diligence and guidance from his friends, Tom Braniff and C.R. Smith, Keith developed, owned and operated Central Airlines. The airline flew to six states, initially from Meacham Field and, later, from Greater Southwest Airport. In 1964, it merged with Frontier Airlines to become Continental Airlines. He was always so proud of the company, its staff and its perfect flight record.
In 1955, he associated with LTV Aerospace and exhibited the XC-142 Turbo- Prop at the Paris Air Show and assisted in the development of the Air Trans System at DFW International Airport. He recently retired from ElectroCom where he served as advisor to company president, and personal friend, Bob Buzard.
In 1982, he was inducted into the Oklahoma Aviation Hall of Fame where Central Airlines memorabilia is on exhibition. His personal papers, photographs and daily journals are in the special archival collection at the University of Texas at Arlington. Keith was an avid University of Oklahoma football fan, greeting the team 44 consecutive years into the Metroplex for the annual Texas- -OU game. He was an honorary member of the "O" Club and Touchdown Club.
Mr. Kahle was preceded in death by his former wife, Betty Alexander Kahle.

George Koenig Jr.
FORT WORTH -- George Koenig Jr., 74, a retired aeronautical engineer, died Thursday, July 3, 1997, in Fort Worth.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel in Fort Worth. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Memorials: Tabernacle Lodge No. 1195 AF&AM, or a charity of choice. Mr. Koenig was born Aug. 6, 1922, in Waelder, son of George and Eddye Tomlinson Koenig. He married Dorothy Louise Mason on April 27, 1946, in Fort Worth. George and Dorothy moved to Fort Worth, where he worked for General Dynamics for 27 years in aeronautical engineering.
Dorothy and George joined Englewood Methodist Church in 1948, where he served as the first president of the Men's Club and also worked on various committees. George and Dorothy were members there for 22 years before transferring their membership to Wedgewood Methodist Church. Later, they joined Westcliff Methodist Church, where they were still members. George was a member of the Friendship Class, Men's Club and was active in various church activities.
George was truly an exemplary Mason. His Masonic career began in 1956 as a member of Tabernacle Lodge No. 1195. As Worshipful Master during 1986 and 1987, his goal setting gained him the respect of Masons throughout the 64th District. He served as High Priest and Thrice Illustrious Master of Hemphill Heights Chapter and Council. He received the Super Excellent Master degree and received the Order of High Priesthood and Order of the Silver Trowel awards. George was also a member of Southside Commandery No. 83 and Moslah Shrine. As a 32nd-degree Mason and charter member of Fort Worth Valley Scottish Rite, he worked on the 24, 29, and 31st-degree team. George was given the Golden Trowel Award by Tabernacle Lodge No. 1195 in 1992. He also served as Worthy Patron of Polytechnic Chapter No. 420, OES. He was Chapter Dad of Handley Chapter Order of Demolay and was Governor of District 7 Order of Demolay.
George served his country with honors during World War II in the European Theater. As a member of the Ninth Air Force, 881 Air Engineering Squadron, he was stationed in England, France and Germany, where he attained the rank of technical sergeant. George served from 1942 to 1946.

Josie Cisneros Lopez
YERINGTON, Nev. -- Josie Cisneros Lopez, 37, a teacher, died Monday, June 23, 1997, at a Reno hospital.
Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Pastor Vince Szymkowiak will officiate. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Prayer service: 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Josie Cisneros Lopez was born Dec. 10, 1959, in Fort Worth.
She was en route to the hospital to deliver her baby boy, Victor Gabriel Acosta II, when both were killed due to an automobile accident six miles north of Yerington, Nev.
Josie was the first born child of Ramon and JoAnn Cisneros of Fort Worth after losing a baby boy, Little Ray Cisneros Jr., who was stillborn in April, 1958.
Josie was a 1978 Trimble Tech graduate whose accomplishments in her senior year included being a member of the annual staff, the student body historian, Student Government Council, Allied Youth officer and Future Teachers of America. She was a member of the Spanish Club, Office Education Association, the Science Club and the Trimble Tech Band for four years. She was elected senior class favorite, 2nd- runner-up and homecoming court duchess.
After high school, Josie attended New Mexico State University. She was a teacher at Yerington Elementary School where she taught English as a second language to all ages. Principal John Prida and Juan Salinas conducted a memorial service for Josie on Monday, June 30, 1997.
"If Josie ever had a bad day, (I) never knew it," Prida said.
All the staff expressed their deep love and sympathy, saying it was a big loss to the school.

Don Pardue was born Nov. 10, 1908, in San Antonio. He attended San Antonio Academy, Texas Christian University and the University of Texas. During college, he played the trumpet and had a dance band. He was a banker in Breckenridge, and moved to Fort Worth to work for the Austin Company during the building of Convair. He went to work for Carter Oil Company in 1945 and became a CPA in 1949. He was the Controller of the Amon G. Carter Foundation for 33 years, retiring in 1978.
He loved to travel and play golf. He was the first elected president of Kiwanis International of Greater Fort Worth. He was a member of the Texas Society of CPAs, Ridglea Country Club and the Petroleum Club.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Carol Lucile, in 1962.
