NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Dorothy Frances "Fran" Jones, 64, a homemaker, left for her eternal heavenly home Wednesday, July 9, 1997, at home.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Officiating: pastor Buddy Kirksey and the Rev. Jerry Kotzman. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials: American Cancer Society or to Preferred Choice of DFW Hospice.

Dorothy Jones was born May 27, 1933, in Lufkin, Texas. She was a Christian and a member of The Worship Center in Watauga, Texas. She was known to be a faithful follower of the Lord and a caring and loving friend. She had great faith that carried her through her journey. Fran was known to all her children and grandchildren as "Mother Fran."

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was co-owner of Precision Properties Service Company with her husband, Bill Jones.

Survivors: Husband, Bill Jones of North Richland Hills; son, Ernest Michael Cook of Watauga; daughters, Taryn Roxanne Shortridge, Jan Totin and Cyndi Higgins, all of North Richland Hills; brothers, Glen Fox of Diboll and Dickie Fox of Houston; sisters, Martha Bankston of Haltom City, Billie Ruth Metcalf of Overton and Brenda Atkins of Houston; 17 grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a great host of friends.

WATAUGA -- Ida May Jones, 94, a homemaker, died Wednesday, July 9, 1997, at a North Richland Hills hospital.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Burial: Paradise Cemetery.

Ida May Jones was born Jan. 20, 1903, in Whitt.

She had lived in Chico and Bridgeport before moving to Watauga and was a member of First Baptist Church in Bridgeport.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.S. "Bill" Jones, in 1962.

Survivors: Son, Farris Jones and his wife, Maxine, of Watauga; grandchildren, Jack Jones of Reno and Betty Sue Hamblin of Chico; five great- grandchildren; and three great-great- grandchildren.

FORT WORTH -- Scranton Boulware Jones, 75, an attorney, died Monday, July 7, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Eucharist of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Friday at All Saints Episcopal Church. The Very Rev. Robert W. Bosworth Jr. and the Rev. Canon James P. DeWolfe Jr. will be celebrants. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Robert L. Bowen, James Chatmas, William Wolcott Collins, Herman Morris, Charles G. Prior and Marc B. Smith Jr.

Scranton Boulware Jones was born July 29, 1921, in Fort Worth. A fourth- generation Fort Worthian, Scranton Jones was the great-grandson and grandson of generations who formed our city's governmental structure. His service included that of assistant Texas attorney general, Tarrant County assistant district attorney, Fort Worth city councilman and mayor pro tem.

Following meritorious duty in the Navy during World War II, he engaged in a private law practice and was adjunct professor of business law at TCU. Long interested in history, he wrote about 30 of the historical markers in our city.

Mr. Jones was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church; Rotary, in which he was a past district governor of Rotary International; local and state bar associations; The Steeplechase; and River Crest Country Club. He served on boards of Pioneer Rest Cemetery Association, Tarrant County Historical Society and the Council on Alcoholism.

Survivors: Wife, Marjorie Taylor Jones; children, Allison Jones Simonton and her husband, Greer, of Memphis, Tenn., and Julie Jones Armstrong, Thomas U. Taylor and his wife, Jill, and Kathy Taylor Braudway and her husband, Cecil, all of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Matthew Scranton Simonton, Mary Greer Simonton, Herman Quinn Armstrong, Wilson Goodwin Armstrong, Arthur Nichols Armstrong and Shannon Leigh Taylor; and a sister-in-law, Ann Jones, widow of Harper Jones.

Terry D. Lambert
FORT WORTH -- Terry D. Lambert, 65, a retired quality control engineer, died Wednesday, July 9, 1997, at home.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.

Terry D. Lambert was born May 17, 1932, in Spokane, Wash. He retired from General Dynamics in 1992 after 30 years of service. He had previously worked for Boeing for 12 years. He also worked for the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department for two years. He earned his BBA from UTA.

Survivors: Daughter, Tamara Lambert of Fort Worth; brothers, Donald Lambert of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Brian Lambert of Alamogordo, N.M.; sister, Barbara Roberts of Arlington; and grandson, Samuel Lambert of Fort Worth.

Marye C. Lynch was born July 21, 1924, in Norfolk, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Addison Lynch.

Joseph Waller Martin
ARLINGTON -- Joseph Waller Martin, 71, a retired attorney, died Wednesday, July 9, 1997, in Alvarado.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Arlington Funeral Home. Burial: Parkdale Cemetery in Arlington. Visitation: 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Joseph Waller Martin was born April 20, 1926, near Alvarado. He had lived in Alvarado for the last three and a half years. He grew up and lived in Arlington for most of his life and was a 1943 graduate of Arlington High School. He served in the 77th Division of the U. S. Army during World War II on Okinawa. He was wounded twice and received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star, and was hospitalized many months recovering from his wounds. He was a graduate of the University of Texas where he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence in law. He received another Bachelor's degree in education from Arlington State College.

He was a Chapter Member of Greater Arlington Lions Club, a member of Arlington Masonic Lodge No. 438 A.F.&A.M., and 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, Moslah Shrine Temple, the Odd Fellow Lodge, as well as many fraternity orders.

Survivors: Brothers and sisters-in- law, John and Margaret Martin of Cleburne, Pat and Jackie Martin of Arlington, Wendell and Lois Martin of Lakewood, Colo., and Kenneth and Theresa Martin of Grandview; sister, Margie Parish of Irving; aunts, Vera Loveless of Fort Worth and Pauline Uselton of Sherman; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Floyd E. McGinness
FORT WORTH -- Floyd E. McGinness, 80, a retired electrical engineer, died Wednesday, July 9, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole. The Rev. John Hennessy will officiate. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers: Robert Chandler, Dr. John Hennessy, Robert Judd, Donald McGinness, Perry Raybuck and Frank L. Uhl.

Floyd E. McGinness was born Dec. 16, 1916, in Lincoln, Kan.

He was a graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder and was a member of the University of Colorado Alumni Association. He served in the Army during World War II in the European campaign at the Battle of the Bulge. He was a resident of Edgecliff Village for more than 40 years and a member of Edgecliff Fellowship.

He retired after 35 years of service with Texas Electric Service Co.

Mr. McGinness was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Catherine Lane McGinness, who was secretary- treasurer of Edgecliff Village Association at the time of her death.

Survivors: Son, James Robert McGinness and his wife, Lisa, of Houston; daughters, Linda Ross and her husband, John, of Houston and Kathleen Ann Stephens and her husband, Jim, of Commerce; brother, Donald Brown McGinness of Independence, Kan.; grandchildren, John Chandler McGinness, James Griffin McGinness, William Lane McGinness, Amelia Suzan Ross and Sean Ryan Stephens; and nieces and nephews.

Lynn Patrick McKernon
GRANBURY -- Lynn Patrick McKernon, 81, who served in the military and worked in civil service, died Tuesday, July 8, 1997, at an Arlington hospital.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Martin's Funeral Home in Granbury. Burial: Holly Hills Memorial Park in Granbury.

Lynn Patrick McKernon was born March 17, 1916, in Seattle, Wash.

He served four years in the Coast Guard, followed by 40 years of military and government service. He was a member of the Elks Club, American Legion and Faith Assembly of God Church in Granbury.

Survivors: Wife of 58 years, Geneiveve McKernon of Granbury; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Nancy McKernon of Seattle, Wash., and Thomas and Ursula McKernon of Mansfield; son, Patrick McKernon; daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Gary Lee of Puyallup, Wash.; grandchildren, Brian and Daren Lee, Christopher, Andrew, Brianna McKernon, Kaelin and Sean McKernon; and great-grandson, Bryer Addison Lee.

Enrique Pabalate Sr.
FORT WORTH -- Enrique Pabalate Sr., 66, who retired from machine maintenance in the aerospace industry, died Thursday, July 10, 1997, at home.

Enrique Pabalate Sr. was born Feb. 21, 1931, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

He married Erlinda San Pedro on Sept. 15, 1956. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in May 1954. He was a 33-year resident of Fort Worth. He worked at Stratoflex, Inc., for more than 20 years. He attended St. Paul's Catholic Church.

Survivors: Wife, Erlinda San Pedro Pabalate of Fort Worth; sons, Enrique S. Pabalate Jr. and his wife, Sandra, Harold Pabalate and his wife, Glenda, Earl Pabalate and his wife, Lisa, and Eugene Pabalate and his wife, Tammy, all of Fort Worth; daughters, Henrietta P. Roberts and her husband, Scotty, and Glenda P. Vaughn and her husband, Ed, all of Fort Worth; brothers, Dominador L. Maria S. Peck was born Nov. 1, 1920, in Catanzaro, Italy. She served in the Women's Army Corps in World War II. She loved gardening, crocheting and was a wonderful cook and adored her dog, Fritz. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be missed by all.

Mrs. Peck was preceded in death by a son, Clarence "Jack" Peck Jr.

Survivors: Her husband, Clarence H. "Jack" Peck of North Richland Hills; sons, Michael J. Peck and his wife, Carol, of Bedford, Pat Peck and his wife, Janine, of North Richland Hills, and Anthony J.
