GRAPEVINE -- John Anthony Bauerfeld, 61, a retired manager of planning and research for J.C. Penney Co., died suddenly Sunday, July 6, 1997, in Durango, Colo.

Memorial service: 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 3713 Harwood Road in Bedford.

Memorials: in memory of John A. Bauerfeld to Mercy Medical Center Manor House, c/o Pastoral Care, 375 E. Park Ave., Durango, Colo., 81302, in lieu of flowers.

John Anthony Bauerfeld was born Nov. 12, 1935, in Stamford, Conn. He served in the Army and graduated from the universities of Connecticut and Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Sharky Bauerfeld.

Survivors: Wife, Jeannette; children, Pamela and Andrew; sister, Madelyn; and brother, Richard.

Ray D. Burgett
HURST -- Ray D. Burgett, 71, a retired Bell Helicopter employee, died Thursday, July 10, 1997, at home.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday at Richland Hills Christian Church. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

Memorials: Richland Hills Christian Church Building Fund, in lieu of flowers.

Ray Burgett was born Oct. 7, 1925, in Ashland, Ky., and had lived in Hurst since 1963. He served his country for 20 years in the Army Air Forces, Air Force and Army Material Command. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

He retired from Bell Helicopter in 1987.

Mr. Burgett was a member of Richland Hills Christian Church, where he served as deacon, elder and two terms as chairman of the board.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jo-Ellen, of Hurst.

Survivors: Wife of 23 years, Joan Burgett; sons, Ray Burgett Jr. and his wife, Janie, of Euless, James Donald Burgett of South Padre Island, Richard Burgett and his wife, Denise, of Fort Worth and Robert David Burgett of Crowley; daughter, Edna Clark and her husband, Jack, of Fort Worth; stepson, Keith Eaton and his fiancee, Noel Pensock, of Fort Worth; stepdaughters, Cathy Spahr and her husband, Marshall, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Helen Ballew and her husband, Mark, of Fort Worth; sisters, Jane McKnight of Orlando, Fla., and Dorothy Hays and her husband, Don, of Kittshill, Ohio; six grandchildren; and many friends.

BLUE MOUND -- Michael Allen Case, 43, a retired electrician, died Thursday, July 10, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Michael Allen Case was born May 29, 1954, in Fort Worth. He was a lifelong area resident and attended Eagle Mountain-Saginaw schools. He worked as an electrician until he became disabled.

Gaino Davison was born April 1, 1911, in Payne County, Okla.

FORT WORTH -- Gordon H. Duncan, 84, a retired aeronautical engineer, died Thursday, July 10, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: He will lie in state from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home.

Gordon Duncan was born March 13, 1913, in Camden Point, Mo. He retired from General Dynamics in 1978 after 42 years of service and was a member of the General Dynamics Management Club Retirees. Mr. Duncan was a member of the Fort Worth and Dallas Model A Ford clubs. He was also a member of Ridglea Presbyterian Church.

Survivors: Wife of 60 years, Lucile P. Duncan of Fort Worth; sons, Gordon H. Duncan Jr. and James P. Duncan, both of Fort Worth; grandchildren, John G. Duncan, Shanna Duncan and Drew Duncan, all of Fort Worth, Courtney Duncan of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Cheryl Duncan of Fort Worth; and great- granddaughters, Casey Duncan and Caitlin Duncan, both of Fort Worth.

Edred Newton Everett
FORT WORTH -- Edred Newton Everett, 86, a retired USDA Soil Conservation Service engineer, died Tuesday, July 8, 1997, at a hospital in California.

Funeral: none planned. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.

Mr. Everett, a beloved father and grandfather and a resident of Fort Worth for 33 years, passed away July 8 after having had surgery on June 20. He was born to Louise Mayle and James Newton Everett on Aug. 3, 1910, in Pacific, Mo. He graduated from high school in Pacific before attending Central College and Missouri School of Mines, where he graduated with a civil engineering degree in 1933. He retired from the USDA Soil Conservation Service in 1977 after 42-plus years of service.

He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and the American Society of Civil Engineers. He was a Texas-registered professional engineer.

Mr. Everett was preceded in death by his wife of 67-plus years, Mary, in 1995.

Survivors: Son, Roger Everett of Livermore, Calif.; daughter, Karen Preston of Durango, Colo.; sister, Gwyneth Darling of Jefferson City, Mo.; and grandchildren, Julie Everett of Danville, Calif., Jill Hornbeck of Livermore, and Nicholas Preston and Amanda Preston, both of Durango.
