SANGER -- Jessie Belle Barentine, 88, a homemaker, died Friday, July 11, 1997, at a Sanger nursing home.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Coker Funeral Home in Sanger. Burial: Sanger Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Dr. Carroll Caddell will officiate the service.

Jessie Barentine was born July 19, 1908, in the Parvin community.

She was preceded in death by husband, Andy A. Barentine, Sr., and parents, Jessie B. and Nannie Belle "Rue" Cherry.

Survivors: Daughter, Marjetta Morris of Garland; son, Andy A. Barentine of Dallas; sisters, Alma Cherry of Sanger and Theda Wilson of Fort Worth; and granddaughter, Melissa Morris of Garland.

JOSHUA -- Margie Bishop, 65, who was a retired 26-year tool crib attendant for Stratoflex in Fort Worth, died Friday, July 11, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Margie Bishop was born March 29, 1932, in Harris County.

Sarilda D. Boggess
BALLINGER -- Sarilda D. Boggess, 92, a homemaker, died Friday, July 11, 1997, in Ballinger.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger. Officiant: Kary Rawlings.

Sarilda Boggess was born Sept. 15, 1904, in San Saba.

She married Milton Eugene Boggess on June 4, 1930, in Ballinger. She was also a lifetime resident of Ballinger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, J.W. McMillian and Mary Elizabeth Oliver McMillian, and one brother, Eldon McMillian.

Survivors: Sons, Bill Boggess of Ballinger, Clyde Boggess of Arlington; 11 grandchildren; and 28 great- grandchildren.

FORT WORTH -- Uinta Leona Brown, 61, a mail processor in the aircraft business, died Saturday, July 12, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Uinta Leona Brown was born Oct. 28, 1935, in Meridian.

She was an active member of Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church and was a staff member of Family Life Training Center.

Survivors: Husband, Jerry L. Brown of Fort Worth; son, Jerry D. Brown of Wichita, Kan.; daughters, Cindy Owings of Fort Worth and Tina Bailey of St. Louis, Mo.; father, Jack Holladay of Walnut Springs; brothers, Tommy Holladay of Weatherford and Danny Holladay of Walnut Springs; and 10 grandchildren.

Ray D. Burgett
HURST -- Ray D. Burgett, 71, a retired Bell Helicopter employee, died Thursday, July 10, 1997, at home.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday at Richland Hills Christian Church. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

Memorials: Richland Hills Christian Church Building Fund, in lieu of flowers.

Ray Burgett was born Oct. 7, 1925, in Ashland, Ky., and had lived in Hurst since 1963. He served his country for 20 years in the Army Air Forces, Air Force and Army Material Command. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

He retired from Bell Helicopter in 1987.

Mr. Burgett was a member of Richland Hills Christian Church, where he served as deacon, elder and two terms as chairman of the board.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jo-Ellen, of Hurst.

Survivors: Wife of 23 years, Joan Burgett; sons, Ray Burgett Jr. and his wife, Janie, of Euless, James Donald Burgett of South Padre Island, Richard Burgett and his wife, Denise, of Fort Worth and Robert David Burgett of Crowley; daughter, Edna Clark and her husband, Jack, of Fort Worth; stepson, Keith Eaton and his fiancee, Noel Pensock, of Fort Worth; stepdaughters, Cathy Spahr and her husband, Marshall, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Helen Ballew and her husband, Mark, of Fort Worth; sisters, Jane McKnight of Orlando, Fla., and Dorothy Hays and her husband, Don, of Kittshill, Ohio; six grandchildren; and many friends.

Zora Butler was born Feb. 8, 1909. She was a longtime resident of Grand Prairie and a retired seamstress.

FORT WORTH -- Ima Rene McCright Camp, 83, a homemaker, died Friday, July 11, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Ima Camp was born March 18, 1914, in Briggs.

She was an acitve member in Trinity Baptist Church for many years and served as past president of Womens Missionary Union. She was a long time resident of River Oaks, where she reared four children.

She is preceded in death by her husband of many years, William Carl McCright, a son, Jerry McCright, and a daughter, Doris Jane Marshall.

Camp of Fort Worth; son, Bobby McCright and wife, Donna, of Fort Worth; daughter, Sandy Pickett and husband, Jim, of Murphys, Calif.; stepson, Larry Camp of Paradise; stepdaughter, Rosemary Payne and husband, James, of Fort Worth; granddaughters, Katrina Pickett of San Jose, Calif., and Shea McCright of San Marcos; and grandson, Randy Blurton of Fort Worth.

J.D. Coffman
NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- J.D. Coffman, 86, a retired manufacturing foreman, died Friday, July 11, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

Mr. Coffman was born Feb. 1, 1911, in Cottondale.

He was a professional boot maker, and tool maker at General Dynamics before becoming a manufacturing foreman at Bell Helicopter. He retired from Bell in 1978. He was a charter member of the Bridgeport Masonic Lodge and member of the Scottish Rite.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Coffman.

Survivors: Wife, Lucille Coffman of North Richland Hills; daughter, JoAnna Lewis of Garland; brother, Alex Coffman of Chico; sister, Faye Coffman of Bridgeport; grandchildren, Rob Lewis, Jamie Lewis, both of Garland, Don Coffman of Haltom City; stepchildren, David Deats and Annette Hampton, and their children; and grandchildren.

IRVING -- Ruth A. Crawford, 91, a homemaker, passed away Thursday, July 10, 1997, in Irving.

Mrs. Al O. (Ruth A.) Crawford was born March 9, 1906, in Ridgeland Township, Ill. She was lovingly referred to as just "Crawford". She grew up in Milam, Kan., where she taught school in a one- room schoolhouse in the 1930s. She moved to Wichita, Kan., where she met and married Al O. Crawford in 1939, to whom she was married until his death in 1978.

In 1942, they moved to Fort Worth where she lived until her death. Together they operated a small toy business until Al's retirement. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth for over 50 years.

She dedicated her life to helping others in many ways. One of her greatest loves, beside her family, was the Girl Scouts. She remained an active Scout for over 45 years.

Due to her many contributions to the Girl Scouts, in 1981, the Circle T Girl Scout Council created the Mrs. Al O. Crawford Community Service Award, which is given annually to others for dedicated community service.

As an active environmentalist, she was awarded the Dorothy Turbeville Conservation Award, the Clean City Star Award and was a pioneer in bringing recycling to Fort Worth. In recognition of more than 30 years of community service, she was awarded the 1988 Outstanding Senior Citizen of the Year Award by the Women's Civic Club Council of Fort Worth.

She loved her family, her church, the Girl Scouts and her community, and spent her life dedicated to her family and to service of others. Her giving and unselfish nature and dedicated societal contributions will be remembered by the many lives she touched.

Survivors: Daughters and son-in-law, Betty and Allan Eitel of North Richland Hills and Carolyn Busby of Dallas; grandchildren, Keri Davidson of Hurst, Bill Kledas of Arlington, Lynn McKee and John Eitel of Fort Worth, Catherine Mathews of Carrollton, and Rusty Busby of Plano; and nine great-greatchildren.
