FORT WORTH -- Trino Lopez, 80, who had worked for the public schools, died Friday, July 11, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Thomas Catholic Church. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rosary: 7 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.

Trino Lopez was born Sept. 16, 1916, in Mexico.

He had lived in Fort Worth since 1961 and served in the Army in World War II.

Survivors: Wife, Sara Lopez of Fort Worth; sons, Richard Lopez of Cleburne and Alex Lopez of Fort Worth; daughters, Lydia Medina Noricca and Gracie Martinez, both of Fort Worth and Angy Carlson of Hurst; brother, Salvador Lopez of Wichita Falls; sisters, Vera Diaz of Fort Worth and Maria Gonzalez and Rosa Perez, both of Wichita Falls; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great- grandchildren.

James Norman Ludlum
HOUSTON -- James Norman Ludlum, 87, an attorney and a former First Attorney General of Texas, passed away Thursday, July 10, 1997, in Austin.

Funeral: 9 a.m. Monday at Weed- Corley-Fish Funeral Home. Burial: Austin Memorial Park Cemetery. Family visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

James Norman Ludlum was born Aug. 28, 1909, in Topeka, Kan.

Survivors: Beloved wife of 61 years, Dorothy Standifer Ludlum; sons, Jim Ludlum and his wife, Laura, of Round Rock and John Ludlum and his wife, U.S. magistrate judge, Alia, of Del Rio; and grandsons, Thomas Campbell Ludlum of Pflugerville and Michael James Ludlum of Round Rock; and great-grandchild, Tana Beth Ludlum.

Gilbert Edward Lynn
RICHLAND HILLS -- Gilbert Edward Lynn, 96, a car man who retired from Rock Island Railroad, Southern Pacific Railroad and Swift & Co., died Friday, July 11, 1997, at a local nursing home.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Monday in Boyd Cemetery in Boyd. Visitation: come and go.

Gilbert Lynn was born March 4, 1901, in Boyd. He served in the Army Air Corps and was a veteran of World War II. He was a Master Mason belonging to Stockyards Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star. He was a member of the Scottish Rite in Phoenix, Ariz. His total Masonic service covered 54 years. He was also a beautiful artist.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Cleo Melford and Alvin Lynn, and sisters, Annie Rasbury, Alma Wetzel, Ruth Little and Delia Boydston.

Survivors: Wife of 52 years, Lois A. Allen Lynn of Richland Hills; son, Edward R. Lynn and daughter-in-law of North Richland Hills; daughter, Mary B. Isch of Prescott, Ariz.; granddaughters, Tanzy (Lynn) Brossett of Dallas and Effie Bell Isch of Prescott, Ariz.; grandsons, Charles Isch, Parrish Lynn, Patrick Lynn and Samuel Lynn; niece, Alma Jean Walker and husband, Hestel Walker; and numerous other nieces and nephews.

Melba P. Magers
AZLE -- Melba P. Magers, 76, a retired beautician, died Saturday, July 12, 1997, at a Fort Worth nursing center.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Azleland Mausoleum. Visitation: 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday with family present from 5 to 7 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Melba Magers was born Sept. 18, 1920, in Chico, Texas. She was a member of First Christian Church of Chico and had lived in Azle for 42 years. She retired as a beautician after 20 years. Mrs. Magers enjoyed her yard and working with plants.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Magers, in 1983.

Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Patsy Magers of Saginaw; sister, Ladean Pickle of Azle; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Michelle and David Ziegelbauer and Renee and Robert Varner, all of Saginaw; and five great-grandchildren.

Robert Carrol McPherson
FORT WORTH -- Robert Carrol McPherson, 85, a retired aerospace industry assembler, died Friday, July 11, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of White Settlement. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home.

Robert McPherson was born Nov. 4, 1911, in Erath County. He retired from General Dynamics in 1973 after 31 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of White Settlement and was a deacon and Sunday school teacher for over 50 years. He was a woodworker and a gardener.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Bill McPherson, in May 1996.

Survivors: Wife of 58 years, Nadine Burnett McPherson of Fort Worth; daughters, Linda Inscho and her husband, Robert, of Milpitas, Calif., and Georgia McDonald and her husband, Robert, of Plano; sisters, Ruth Duzan of Odessa and Mary Lemley of Richardson; five grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.

GRANBURY -- Opal McReynolds, 77, a retired seamstress, died Friday, July 11, 1997, at a Granbury hospital.

Opal McReynolds was born Oct. 2, 1919, in Dennis.

She lived in the Granbury area for more than 40 years. She worked as a seamstress for 30 years before her retirement.

Survivors: Son, Jerry McReynolds of Cresson; daughter, Joan Ansley of Granbury; brother, Jim Pewitt of Arlington; sisters, Ima Childress of Fort Worth, Jean Herod of Granbury; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Catherine Mikel was born Oct. 10, 1920, in Whitesboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W.F. Mikel.

GRAND PRAIRIE -- Edward Charles Mills, 53, a business development manager for Hughes Training, died Thursday, July 10, 1997 at a Dallas hospital.

Mr. Mills was born Sept. 30, 1943, in Binghamton, N.Y.

He was a member of North Minister Presbyterian Church of Endwell N.Y., was an Order of The Arrow Boy Scout, and a camp counselor. He attended Alfred University and Empire State College. He married Suzanne Hamzik in Endwell, N.Y., on August 23, 1980. He enjoyed culture and model trains. He was a loving husband and father.

Survivors: Wife, Suzanne Hamzik Mills; son, Scott Mills; daughter, Kristin Mills, all of Grand Prairie; father-in-law, John Hamzik; aunt, Jean Austin, both of Binghamton, N.Y.; brother-in-law, Michael Hamzik; sister-in-law, Cheryl Hamzik, both of Endwell, N.Y.; and many surviving relatives.

Mr. Pratt was born May 12, 1925, in Springfield, Mass., and had been a resident of Weatherford for 13 years. He retired from the Army and had served in World War II and the Korean War.

Mr. Pratt was a member of St. Stephens Roman Catholic Church in Weatherford. He enjoyed traveling and woodworking.

Survivors: Wife, Hazel Pratt of Weatherford; brothers, Leon Pratt, Andri Pratt, Roland Pratt, and Bernard Pratt, all of Montreal, Canada; sisters, Denise Andrieu of Montreal and Rosaline Pratt of Washington, D.C.; aunts, Aledo Romite of St. Bruno, Canada, Rosa Pratt of Montreal; nieces, Natalie Ryoux of Montreal, Odile Fontaine of St. Bruno; one other niece and one nephew.
